also because of the "distance from capital" bonus of the citizen hoplites.
oh and it would probably also need Wonders of the Ancient World for the +50 gold from great person expending.

Is this mod BNW only because of the Writers' Guild?

Played a game against the AI. still OP as hell.
I might get rid of the bonus for specialists.

This was my first Civ V mod, and i'm working on balancing it now. I'll be using ideas similiar to flaris.parke's
Aussiehawker 23 Oct, 2014 @ 1:07am
@firebug Maybe instead have UA be 2+ production per Specilist. Their UB could be a Barracks replacement at Bronze working that have a Engineer slot and maybe their UU can instead be Extra defense near capital like Ethopia.

@flaris.parkes thanks for the info, i'll look into why it's so OP.

@fenrir I just played as them and won a cultral victory in 1300 Ad on standard. My capital by the end had 92 people. I had so much production I built nearly every wonder (that didn't have special requirements). My tech was 1-2 era ahead of everybody all game even when selling techs (civ4 dipolatic mod).

This civ is mega OP

I just realised i got the description wrong, i'm really sorry. I'll change it.

I'm afraid that due to the way Firaxis setup culture in the files it doesn't count as a yield and i would of had to do quite a bit of lua coding (which i have no experience with) to make the culture per person work. Since i am capable of XML coding though i simply changed the UB and the UA to suit more since "Corinthian Order" is a type of architecture, so production fits.

@Flaris I think you forgot the aspect of 'cant build settlers' mate, this is a massive drawback and needs to be substantially counterweighted. Your suggestions fit, but for a civilization that has access to more cities.
Aussiehawker 21 Oct, 2014 @ 12:45am
This sounds super OP. Maybe change the UB to normal temple bonuses and 1+ culture for every 2 people. Then change UA to 1+ production for every 2 people which is still a pretty big bonus.

I've simply given the option to Annex. It doesn't mean you have to. I would advise waiting until your capital can do internal trading or simply pay survive an annexed city before actually annexing.

Ok... so i forgot to add information on the buildings. That was a bit of a cock up. Let me fix that
zArkham4269 19 Oct, 2014 @ 11:36am
So what does the Temple of Aphrodite do? I would think that this civ would need some mechanic to either help with science to offset puppeted cities, or some form of courthouse to help deal with annexed cities.

Otherwise builindg all those early troops on top of building courthouses is going to slow this Civ down quite a lot. I think this would be especially bad in games with mods which increase science costs to give "historic" speeds given a lot can happen prior to getting to courthouses.

Any feedback on broken features would be very useful.

Unlike Venice, you can annex cities.
Tnesniv Yørel 19 Oct, 2014 @ 10:22am
Are conquered cities annexed or puppetted?
