But there are some one who made a patch mod to make it harder and remove the trade part. search for that :)

Maybe it's because I've got the research bench embedded in a wall, so only the front section is accessible?
Think it only happens if the research room isvery small. Its a bug from the Ritual framework.
I've had them spawn in people's bedrooms after a theory, completely disconnected from the laboratory.
Should be "as you're lacking theories."
Not much i can do at the moment, its a problem with the Custom Ritual Framework.
I have asked them for a fix. but nothing yet, so if you can post it there it would be good :)

I think base mods should be more balanced toward vanilla game, but hard pateches or settings is a good ide for people who want it more hard :)
I will try with different ritual outcome (terrible, fail, success, outstanding).
2: and 4: is not the way I like it, the sample and research data is already a skill check for me, make it slow to make it slow is not interesting.
The issue I have about make a patch to share, is overpatch your patches (about trade and archotec analyzer), a bit lazy for now. I try on my side, and if I find a good balance I will eventually share it.
1: Lower the change of success on the rituals, so its like only 50% or something that you get theory papers.
2: On the main Research Data mod, up how much data they use,
3: Make so if theort fails it lower research speed for a day or something.
4: Make it take longer to craft papers and data nd require more resources.
I copied the advanced ritual into the basic one: assistant added, and intellectual skill scale to 20. My researcher got ~50% chance instead of ~80%.
But it's still not enough, Idk how to balance it for some struggle without stuck the research for no reason.
So I will patch it to add more struggle.
With the data you need it for both research and analyzer data and if you have more pawns doing research and if you forget it etc. its a bit harder to keep up, but if you manage it well it should not be a problem.
its not ment to be a permanent struggle but something manageble if you do it right and remeber it :)
I'm playing since some days with this mod, only with research papers for now (as I start tribal), and I can't see how I could lack of theory papers (without forgetting to do the ritual).
Unless having pawn doing only research all days AND very bad luck (or several researchers), theory papers seems to be infinite ressource (I sometime skip ritual on purpose).
I even patched the mod to remove the papers from trader/reward, and make the multiple gain rarer.
It's not balanced for my gameplay? (few pawns)
Will it be more interesting for advanced theory research?
Although, it doesn't help me interact with people, only know how to interact in theory... so he is learning the theory of social interactions!
also, could you make it so that the ritual is "optional"? basically, the ritual can boost the research from your other mod. Or be used to make the reaserach papers which help ?"
Cannot change the problem ODevil have at the moment as it require the ritual framework to be updated :)
Also got the same issue than ODevil, in a room not so small (3x8 half empty).
Need to test it futher in case it's a compatibility issue with other mods tho.
