ApplyPressure

@shadow,
I was just here looking, because I've been getting red errors when pawns are downed.

I am going to guess they are not compatible at this time.

Good job making this mod, it's great. I wonder if this mod works with the TendYourself mod, if a downed pawn would both apply pressure to their wound, and tend themself.
Yitan 11 Jul @ 1:51pm
Hi! I didn't know about this mod, it looks pretty good! However, from what I see in the calculation in the description, wouldn't it be better for the cap to be in (medicine + manipulation) /2?

Updated to 1.6. Let me know if there is any bug.

@Alien Beast Thank for the report. This dose sounds like a edge case I never think of. I will look into it when I have time.
Alien Beast 10 Jun @ 6:26am
In my game, during a childbirth ceremony when a mother was in labor, she "applied pressure" to a nonexistent squirrel scratch on her stomach, left the bed and was downed, and the birthing ceremony ended while she was still in labor. I had her rescued, and I think the birthing ceremony restarted, but with fewer attendees. She gave birth, but she has a permanent "applying pressure" health condition, although it doesn't seem to affect her movement or behavior.

> Only player-controlled pawns will do this. Technically is because of performance. Lore-wise, enemies know what will happens if they get captured so would rather bleed to death than stop crawling to escape

Is it possible to just have enemies randomly decide to apply pressure or crawl? We won't notice if they're not being smart about it.
@Jester Correct
Jester 18 Apr @ 2:38pm
So essentially, if they are unable to move/crawl, then they cannot apply pressure?
sebo2203 8 Apr @ 2:33pm
Great, just the mod I was looking for!
my solo pawn survived by an inch to a mechanoid attack and managed to crawl to bed...

Problem is he is not capable of self tending and has bleeding of like 50%/d which is very small but not small enough for the vanilla blood "clotting" feature to save him.
(Pawns do heal stop small part of their bleeding on their own but its never anything significiant)
Result? He will die in 22 hours. Thats stupid.

With his mod I can effectively save him without having to use Dev mode... thank you!

@Dietze Yes, definitely. But I am not doing that. The idea of this mod is to keep it a simple alternative to vanilla crawling. Feel free to develop based on my code.
Dietze 9 Sep, 2024 @ 11:24am
Hmmmm, is there a way to somehow scale the effectiveness of the 'Applying Pressure' to a pawn's Medical skill?
Basicly like Self-Tending, but with understandably a worse rate? (I believe the default is 70% of the Pawns Medical Skill for Self-Tending, I'd argue that 50% would make a lot of sense).

Afterall I'd argue that a skilled Doctor or Medic would be able to Tourniquet a blown off or severely damaged limb or stop or stimy a severe bleeding than a Pawn who is more likely to just rub some dirt in it XD

Cool, thanks for the tips. Thanks for your mod, too.

Player Log is usually used when the bug crashes RimWorld before you get to F12
@Mitchel Vories For small mods they are generally the same, they all capture most RimWorld and mod log printed. The HugLib Log is preferred because it automatically publishes it to GitHub for easy access. More nasty bugs in complex mods require all information available so some developers require all.
irrelevantredundancy 22 Aug, 2024 @ 12:54pm
When reporting an error what logs are most useful to authors? I'm aware of the Player Log, found in the LocalLow -> LudeonStudios directory, and the HugLib Log that is generated by pressing Ctrl+F12 in game.

How are they different? Which one is more useful?
@The Moose Added, you can now set it in the setting.

@Mitchel Vories Thank you for your detailed reporting. The issues have been fixed. Missed a return statement in the null check clause.
The Moose 13 Aug, 2024 @ 12:15am
Is there a way to set a default setting?

ORGA NOOOOO
@Church.exe Not without modifying the C# code. This mod is designed to simulate pawn stopping blood on a single wound. Uncap the factor or use the total bleed rate doesn't make sense for this mod. But feel free to edit base on my code.
Church.exe 9 Aug, 2024 @ 2:03am
@Grenaders3 if there is anything you'd need a SLAP round to deal with it's probably a centipede.
Church.exe 9 Aug, 2024 @ 2:03am
Is there some way to uncap the bleed rate multiplier or have it work off of their total bleed rate rather than just the bleed rate of their single largest wound? I poked around the mod files to see if I could bodge it to uncap the slider or something but couldn't see any easy way of doing that. (without recompiling it from a modified source)
Grenaders3 31 Jul, 2024 @ 9:27pm
YES, pawns can finally "Stick a thumb in it." Scott would approve.
@SativaH. This mod is only for crawling pawns. Can you share more details with your log if you think there is a bug/mod conflict?

love this mod however anytime i try to attempt an organ harvest or surgery my colonists will just stand there and let the patient bleed out :(
