i want to make a combo mod which includes more officers, more dynamic crew and oxygen settings adjusted to that. Dont want do have 3 different mods for that :)
Im asking you for permission, to use your code into my own mod.
Best regards
If you don't give me crew numbers I'm just going to assume it's the mod correcting itself, as described in the description.
The mod version was at 1.0.8 internally and still at 1.0.7 in the manifest that you see in the launcher, so 1.2.0 was really 1.1.0.
I'll give it a go. v1.1.1 though? Wasn't your previous version 1.2.0?
I've also posted a bug report in the discussion area, I'm not entirely sure it's causing the hard CTD.
Sorry, I missed you mentioning Bigger Crew Limit in your first comment.
Version 1.1.1 fixes this issue, rerun ResetSailorLimit and everything should be back to normal.
Please let me know if it's not.
As a side effect this makes Bigger Crew Limit save compatible, if you just run ResetSailorLimit after install and uninstall.
I had the double-up bug of your mod's previous version, so I had a max of 38.
But after this fix, it should be 34, not 24.
What I'm saying is that after applying your fix, it seems to completely ignore the Bigger Crew mod being installed with it's new base crew size.
That's to correct number:
7 officers - 5 starting officers = 2 officers with 2 crew each = 4 crew + 20 starting crew = 24 crew
If you want a higher limit use another mod that increase the crew limit or officer limit. This won't conflict with other mods.
Even finishing my mission didn't seem to reset it back to the correct number.
I'm also running Bigger Crew. I was at 7 officers and 38 max crew, I was running with 34.
Now I only get 24 max and it is telling me I need to put crew on the ground at the docks.
How do I fix?
Changes in the way the 1.2.0 and up function means the effect will "double up" and you will have a higher crew limit if you don't do the reset.
No resets should be required in the future.
This change also allows for compatibility with virtually any other mod that modifies crew or officer limits.
The mod doesn't properly account for the Type II, since it was written when the type VIIC was the only option.
I'm working on updates.

Also it's probably nothing, but:
Using cheat command to give me Rep points. I bought 1 officer upgrade and my crew size was increased by 2 as intended, but the debug console showed 2 commands:
crew size increased from 18 to 18.
crew size increased from 18 to 20.
Can you send me that save (sqparadox on Discord) or just upload it somewhere and drop a link.
It's getting set to 30 and but then something causes it to immediately set be set to 22.
Without a save where this is happening it's very hard to know why.

Something else is going on if loading a save doesn't fix it.
Crew capacity is recalculated every time you load a save. So I need to see log files.
Loading a saved game should fix it.
Can you look in you output_log.ext for errors and/or a line something like this:
22:16:34.45 [OfficerCrew] Update Sailor limit: 30
