Could you create a mod to change the recruitment costs without changing the upkeep, please?
kam2150  [author] 26 Sep, 2024 @ 1:18am
This boosts your income, since upkeep is lower. Just if you or AI lose an army, then it really matters as fielding new army will be a large cost.

this is insane the unit economy is already to high if you don't have a mod to increase resource output, just my unwanted 2 cents

Yes.

Is this save game compatible?
Kroc 14 Aug, 2024 @ 1:35pm
You can in warhammer but not in pharaoh sadly.
kam2150  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 10:12am
I think the game allows you to do it in game options (or campaign options), will have to check later when I am at PC.
Kroc 13 Aug, 2024 @ 2:07am
Awesome !

Thanks kam.

Will you make another mod that disable unit stat boost when upgrading battle difficulty ? You made one for troy.
kam2150  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 1:01am
Its compatible with everything as it changes campaign difficulty values, not per-unit values.
Kroc 13 Aug, 2024 @ 12:59am
Hi, very good mod, much better experience with it !

Would it be possible to make a compatibility mod for Cohortroy units ?

Thanks !

just started a troy campaign and this is reducing unit upkeep by 70% not 35%... The increased recruitment cost is also a bit more than 150%. Did you decide to change the figures to this?
fodin978 8 Aug, 2024 @ 5:30am
Rudi Böllert: The problem with the game is that it doesn’t count the percentage of the percentage. For example, if in the compaign settings you choose -50%, and then put a unit in a fort where there is another -50%, then the upkeep cost will be 0 and not -75%
Rudi Böllert 4 Aug, 2024 @ 12:31pm
Alright, I found the culprit. There is a title which has -25% upkeep for native units, which makes it that the upkeep goes to 0. Also in my last comment I switched up factional units with native ones. Is this now intended? To my understanding, a percentage deduction should not bring the upkeep to zero, but rather quarter it.

Hello there, I play with the immortal faction leaders mod and don't know how to fix following issue: I'm playing as Assyria and Ninurta was killed in battle, it took 5 turns for him to respawn at my capital. Now, all faction units only show the recruitment costs, but not the upkeep. Native units still show everything. Ofc I know that may be caused by the other mod, but since this mod is what changes the upkeep values, I wanted to know if you might know a fix for that. The unit still use their upkeep, you just can't see it in the individual unit panel

Could you make a less extreme version? like upkeep decreased by 15% and costs increased by 100%? no worries if not
KillWonder 2 Aug, 2024 @ 3:28pm
What settings of army upkeep is recommended to use for player and AI?
kam2150  [author] 2 Aug, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Read descriptions, it changes upkeep and most importantly, recruitment cost.
KillWonder 2 Aug, 2024 @ 1:35pm
There is already an option to increase the upkeep, so why need this mod?
Spider Webb 2 Aug, 2024 @ 11:36am
Usually Legendary, but I test on other difficulties too. The customization option for increased ai recruitment cost seems to effect their ai buffs quite well. Fighting more elite enemy troops is great. But like in troy, you can beat their armies, raze their best settlements, and they will still send multiple trash stacks from some shitty little region all the way across the map to attack your capitol while your literally about to finish them off ( looking at you Trojans.. ). Reverse Trojan war every time lol.
Rudi Böllert 1 Aug, 2024 @ 1:22pm
@Spider Webb I don't have that issue, rather enemy factions start having better armies at times than me. What difficulty do you play on? I can also suggest you try the Hecleas AI mod, this one definitely makes the AI behave smarter in general
Spider Webb 31 Jul, 2024 @ 4:26pm
It seems the ai aren't really effected at all by the increased unit recruitment cost. They still spam trash armies after just being wrecked, and the player can't recruit fast enough to keep up. It's more or less another nerf for the player. I'm going to see what limiting recruitment slots over all will do. There's a lot of recruitment buffs in this game and I think that's what is making battles seem inconsequential.
Rudi Böllert 29 Jul, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Sad to hear, but in the end irrelevant to critical gameplay :D
kam2150  [author] 29 Jul, 2024 @ 1:00pm
Correct, that one would require changing every unit values, making them not compatible with mods that change units, add units and game patches.
Rudi Böllert 29 Jul, 2024 @ 8:48am
I found that the unit preview of the mustering buildings are still with the old values if upkeep and recruitment cost, nothing gamebreaking but a slight insonsistency
Rudi Böllert 29 Jul, 2024 @ 7:44am
Wow great!
kam2150  [author] 29 Jul, 2024 @ 5:36am
Yes, I tied the change to difficulty levels (does not matter what difficulty you select), so its super compatible.
Rudi Böllert 29 Jul, 2024 @ 3:51am
Hello there, I'm using the Troy units mod and wanted to know if the the units are also impacted by the change? Like did you just increase a multiplier or had to edit the tables on a unit bases?
8sat 28 Jul, 2024 @ 4:04am
ty for images example
Yellow Bear 27 Jul, 2024 @ 4:52pm
This also buffs forts, which was needed anyway. I like it.
umutskywalker 27 Jul, 2024 @ 4:34pm
thanks
GrumpyBadger 27 Jul, 2024 @ 12:59am
One of my favs, glad to have you back!
Horned_Man 26 Jul, 2024 @ 8:58am
Must have mod. Now we just need something to buff sacking/looting settlements :steamhappy:
Guiflick 26 Jul, 2024 @ 8:17am
Hell yeah!
