Hi! It seems your mod is creating some kind of error with the save file. I went into hibernation, woke up, and my 2 slugpups were duplicated! And then there was this exceptionLog.

Actually, the extra save files *are* different, they have a different file size to what they actually had when the auto backup was made

The extra saves are no longer being backed up correctly when it is automatically done (manual backups are fine). It's not that the extra saves are not included in the backup at all, but that they're not being registered in the backup loading system.

I've found that loading a backup does not load a backup of the extra save files, despite being able to see info on the backed up save since it actually is there in the backup folder, pretty sure this is an actual bug right? Maybe specific to the Watcher?

technically, anything is possible, its just a matter of how practical it is and how difficult it is to implement

yeah although difficult, time consuming, will make saves not easily recoverable in case you cant use the mod and that could cause compatibility problems with other mods

Is it theoretically possible to insert data into either of the 3 main saves and then make the mod treat it as a separate save? (this isn't really a request, just curious)

it likely doesnt need updating because i doubt the code it changes was touched at all in the update but i still wanna make sure it works before an official update, and yeah this mod will work across devices but the extra saves arent backed up to steam cloud, that is something that, unfortunately, only the developers themselves have control over, so youd have to copy the files over manually or maybe setup some additional software like syncthing to have the files sync automatically separately from steam

Well it turns out it doesn't need updating! Unless there was a functionality I wasn't aware about that is broken now, which ties into my question: is this mod meant to work across multiple devices as well?

i will update the mod and to access the saves before that you can just rename the files themselves: sav, exp and expCore, the number after the name is the save slot so by changing it to 1, 2 or 3 youre putting the save in one of those slots that you can then access in the in-game menu. i think you can also just manually edit the options file to switch the slot but i dont remember if the format is human-readable

is there plans to update this mod i have a lot of progress in the saves i made with this mod and i cant access any of them because the mod is made for the version pre-update

for me, whenever i open any save that isnt the main 3 i get a crash (white screen with black square in the center)

it is creating functioning backups, I was able to manually move the backup into the saves folder myself, but the restoration function did not work in game

my backups have stopped functioning. It says the backup has been restored but is making no change to the actual save I'm using

every time i try to open any of the save files outside of the 3 from the base game, it displays a white screen with a black square

it would be perfect if the saves button were in the options menu, to not affect the main menu column

I uninstalled the mod at some point and when i re-installed it every time I try to open a new save file it COMPLETELY breaks the game (White screen with a single black square in the middle.) I don't know how to fix this someone PLEASE help

yellow indicates the ascension ending, while cyan indicates the "alternative" ending (e.g. survivor outer expanse, artificer metropolis etc.), scugs that only have an ascension ending will never show up cyan, sorry

I have noticed that different scugs' different endings make the border of their profiles in the Saves menu Yellow or Cyan, where Cyan is the "true"er ending. How do I make the Saint one cyan? It is just shown up as yellow and my bit of OCD is frustrating me

the intended behavior is that this mod's button stays in the first column while other mods do whatever, so with DMS its button should go on the second column like normal. changing where other mods' buttons go is out of scope of this mod unfortunately and, in fact, if it does affect other mods, its a bug and should be reported

thansk for this awasome mod! jsut one question, can you make that, when there are more than 10 buttons in the menu, they stay on 1 column instead of two? like using this mod and dress my slugcat for example

@ConfiG about every modded region with a pearl (+ crs, regionkit and pom), pearlcat, unlimited saves ofc, merge fix... i think nothing else?

hey just a sidenote or bug report? modded colored pearls don't show their color when in save slot 4 and above, but colored pearls from vanilla and downpour do

you didnt need to delete saves even without the mod you could just rename or move the actual save files somewhere (theyre located in %localappdata%Low/Videocult/Rain World on windows if you ever need to access them)

asoon as i saw this i pressed subscribe, i like having different saves for different stuff, like a lizard one a slugpup one and a completed one and also a one for friends, now i dont have to delete the saves :D
