@tyfett Thank you for this ! Indeed you have to buy pulse lasers on the empty hardpoints at an outpost for the ATS to work.

Can confirm the Stinger ATS DOES work, but the problem is likely not realizing that they start only as hardpoints. You need to purchase the pulse laser turrets from an outpost and make sure they are turned on at the command center console. Hope this helps!

@-Z- hey again, I know that my anwers are pretty spaced out in time but I don’t really have time to update the sub since I have a full time job now. I checked it out last week and there is no reason for the ATS to not work. Barotrauma updates really have a tendency to mess up everything on subs that use non-conventional systems.

Hi @WILHELM WICK, the things that need a check are:
1: Opening the sub will open console with many errors, too many to list lol.
2: Monorail will get stuck if midway if you walk inside or for some unknown reasons.
3: Ordering a bot to man the turret on the right side will man the left turret instead.
4: Stinger ATS won't shoot incoming enemies so maybe it's bugged after a major update?

That's it for now but I really hope you fully update this sub because it's a masterpiece for me and my friends! Thanks!

playing in singleplayer and multiplayer the monorail is completely borked and will not work

i tested it further on a multiplayer save, monorail still fails to deploy every other load in, is it possible to get a save of the car itself so i can try to troubleshoot?

@God As I already said I've had issues in sp when the sub released, fixed it, since then I've never had any issue myself. Mp is another story though.

After removing the pieces that @SHERMAN pointed out awhile ago in the monorail the thing seems to work perfectly fine. All testing done in single player. Quick fix for people struggling to get it working at all.

@booper02 yeah the game can be pretty janky sometimes, there is absolutely no reason why the monorail wouldn't work when docked, yet it doesn't. :captainclown:

actually, at the beginning of the campaign, you should be able to play with whatever sub available (at least in mp). the draw is that you start with no balance.

@Emu and to be honest with you it’s a fair point. When I started designing subs in 2020, I only built them for me and my friends and god knows how my first sub sucked. I want people to be able to play with my submarine as their first sub if they choose to do so. On this one there is a lot of additional turrets you can buy to reduce the number of blind spots. Perhaps most of the sub price is additional turrets. Hope you understand

if theres one criticism i could give regarding all your subs, its that 8000mks is pretty frickin low for the functionality you get out of all of them. i reckon the prices could do with a bump up

@SHERMAN I can’t confirm what you’re saying, as I said I’m in vacation rn. Still on the screenshot you sent, the monorailed derailed THEN got stuck because of the structure.

Said obstacles have really strange collision box that does not repeat their visual shape, so they can affect monorail movement, even if visually they should not

@WILHELM WICK, Uh, the issue remained, so i've spent some time and found exact parts that are getting monorail stuck 9/10 times. Here are few screenshots, selected parts are causing issues:

@SHERMAN hey dude, thanks for the suggestion. I updated the monorail, the tunnel is a bit wider and I also lowered the torpedoes accordingly.

Your english is pretty good imo and don't worry it's not my native language either ! :captainsmooth:

@WILHELM WICK So I've tried fixing monorail, and PROBABLY I've found the solution(s): 1) Consider making monorail tunnel a bit less tight; moving walls just a few pixels away from each other should be enough; 2) move torpedoes and torpedoes' docking ports a bit lower (I've noticed that during server rubberbanging structures can go through each other easily); 3) check out other structures and walls to make sure their collision box does not go through monorail corridor walls.
P.S. My grammar is poor, so I can send a few screenshots in order to show the exact parts that I've moved.
P.S.2: I'm not a very good shipbuilder, and I cannot guarantee that my suggestion will 100% work, but after all the changes mentioned, I've noticed a great reduction of issues with monorail movement.

@Lord the monorail works properly. Unfortunately the monorail can derail for absolutely no reason because of the game slow tick rate updating. If anything more can be done to allow the monorail to work better, I will do it. In my testing I have noticed that the monorail works way better in singleplayer than in mp. @TrashBoad with the sub being at such a low price, the large hardpoint and the STINGER ATS (Automated Turrets System) can be purchased to give the user a sense of progression. When the sub is fully upgraded, it has way less blindspots.

Im stuck in the rear of the ship, Monorail doesn't work so it stops midway and you have to forfeit your game or break out. Have fun with that if you play this mod. otherwise its pretty cool but im good, 2 new games and both get stuck middle of monorail. just not for me. starting off to a bad experience with this mod.
