there is a issue regarding the new statues of the 1.6

actually the statues faces are animated like pawns, can you make them static? its a bit cursed for the statues to blink and move lol

I actually use your alternate version of this mod with colored eyes

mouth options? otherwise looks great thanks.
BlaQNYC 22 Jul @ 7:36am
@andromeda K Subscribed. Thanks again for your hard work.

BlaQNYC 21 Jul @ 1:57pm
@Andromeda Link the Boosty then, sir and/or madam. I can't let such talent go unrewarded.
Andromeda  [author] 19 Jul @ 11:36am
@BlaQNYC Unfortunately, I don't have much time right now to dedicate to creating mouth artworks. The simplest thing you can do is try to take mouths from some similar mod and make an addon.

As for Patreon or Ko-fi – I'm from Russia, and the current political situation is not very favorable for such transactions. I do have Boosty, which is almost the same as Patreon
BlaQNYC 19 Jul @ 11:30am
I hate to join the noise of people asking for requests, but I was curious if there's any chance you may add mouths to this mod in the future? I love these faces more than other mods, but I think mouths do add a lot to the personality of each character. Especially when sleeping, eating, etc.

Also you definitely have the best mods out there. Can you consider putting up a patreon or kofi or something? I'd love to support such a great craftsperson.

This is the best facial animation mod if you're looking for something that doesn't turn all your pawns into anime characters and probably my favorite overall, especially the eye color version.
My only real grievance is that the eye and brow type variety is a little low, even just a few more options for both would go a long way. The textures are relatively simple though so I might just try making my own.

Looking forward to whatever successor you might make for this mod if you decide to create your own rendering framework.

Hahaha keep an eye open tonight.. that rickroll wont be forgotten
Xubisca 17 Jul @ 4:07pm
ah yes the 0 to 1,000,000 FPS Optimizator, my favorite mod
marcomagallon 17 Jul @ 12:10am
OMGGG nice Rick-roll 😂🕺🏼😂
Ramenood 15 Jul @ 4:44pm
How did you get your Pawns to be so HD?
Lord Asshat 14 Jul @ 9:48pm
Can confirm, just go into the "About.xml" file and change 1.5 to 1.6 and it just works lol

Your modd are really nice. Love them
ANotoriousBeing 12 Jul @ 1:00pm
Glad to hear it's working for 1.6 - I was waiting to update as I cannot play without this mod
Pudding 12 Jul @ 11:20am
Same as Good Old Jim, seems to work fine with 1.6
Good Old Jim 12 Jul @ 3:48am
ALSO @delivery wizard I was having the similar issue but it was actually tied to a mod called Show Hair, where it hides your hat in certain situations. It was due to me setting up the hide/show rule at game start up when I had anomaly active but I did not want to play with it for this run through so later I turned it off before generating a world. Basically any pawn that spawned with a hat got hit by the hide hat/show hair mod which then refereneced the anomaly headwear and bugged them out causing them to be invisible.

TL:DR if its the same issue I had I fixed it by resetting the show hair filter
Geneva 11 Jul @ 10:33pm
the best facial mod, love it
Good Old Jim 11 Jul @ 4:23pm
can confirm tho this mod works as is with 1.6
Delivery Wizard 11 Jul @ 9:47am
noticed a slight bug. sometimes when any pawn is in combat mode or has a weapon on. they kinda go invisible. their name is there but not the model. It could be a conflict with some of my other mods so I'll go through a more in-depth mod-figuring out.

@Andromeda
A new animation and rendering framework? That sounds fucking incredible, I have so many grievances with FA that ive lost hope of ever being fixed.
huevo grande 6 Jul @ 2:49am
today's facial animation update to 1.6
seems your mod works fine with this update
Tyrant 23 Jun @ 11:56am
@Andromeda The way you phrased that was a little odd, do you mean to say that this is now no longer maintained for versions past 1.5? Or will 1.6 still get an update but not again for future patches?
ckdoug 20 Jun @ 9:49pm
Is there a way to keep to disable the retextured head shapes or manually use default head shapes? Prepare carefully does not let me change head shapes with this mod
Kalmorph 18 Jun @ 12:12pm
I figured that you wouldn't wanna have that hassle, that's why I offered to do it lol
Would you mind to talk over on Discord? My username is just 'kalmorph', add me there if you willing to talk more about it.
Andromeda  [author] 18 Jun @ 11:17am
@Kalmorph most likely, I won’t be maintaining this mod from version 1.6 onward because I’m considering writing my own animation and pawn rendering framework. FA suffers from many issues, and I just can’t properly fix all the accumulated problems
Kalmorph 18 Jun @ 7:01am
Hey Andromeda, what's the chances for you to make patches for all Races from the Vanilla Races Expanded series?
There's around a dozen of them so it might be a bunch of work to do it, but I have some small coding experience/knowledge and could try do it for you and share it later on. I might just need some guidance here and there, since I never modded for Rimworld before.
Drunken Eagle 16 Jun @ 4:54am
Thank you, this is a nice middle ground for me, who doesnt like overly smirk Vanilla retexture and anime eyes of original, gotta stayt with it.
ANotoriousBeing 14 Jun @ 12:53pm
I genuinely cannot play the game without these. Thank you for striking a balance between realism and game, and not making another anime looking one. Been using this for forever and like Bad Hygiene, the game isn't Rimworld without it.
GrimoireODS 11 Jun @ 4:35pm
Most of them, I am looking for something like this thats compatible with anything
Yideun 11 Jun @ 2:23pm
@Andromeda thank u for help me. <3
Andromeda  [author] 11 Jun @ 2:13pm
@Yideun no, its a similar mod
Yideun 11 Jun @ 2:01pm
Hello, I'm Newbie and I'm just starting to enjoy this game. I have a question. Is it compatible with this mod?
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2816938779&searchtext=facial
Andromeda  [author] 11 Jun @ 1:43pm
@GrimoireODS it depends on FA and xenotype
GrimoireODS 11 Jun @ 12:43pm
Is this compatible with xenotypes + from mods???
Phenix 2 Jun @ 6:21pm
Thanks for the optimizator link, fixed my fps drops!
Sunward 2 Jun @ 6:18pm
you're insane for this! these textures look beautiful, thank you so much for this. Very impressive work.
Irsy 1 Jun @ 5:24am
No matter what facial mod I try, this one looks the best ♥
ly 27 May @ 8:23pm
would love to see a compatibility patch for (or an alternative to) Facial Animations Xenotype Compatibility, so that some xenotypes don't look super weird

these are my favorite face textures by a LONG shot, they look so damn good and bring so much character to pawns!!
Syltis 27 May @ 12:12pm
the recommended fps optimizer worked great, thanks
Andromeda  [author] 18 May @ 7:13am
fixed outline. Remove dds textures if u have one
Voidling Cee 16 May @ 11:23am
i mostly ask for my own information because i do feel like it it reasonably somethign yo ucould do with FA you frankly would have, I take it theres no way to point FA or a compat mod like Eyegene towards the "eyecolored" eyes when a gene is actually present? or is it a case of just going and swapping to it manually each time?
curses of a woman trying to keep "unnatural" eye colors rare, ie the classic black for most pawns with eye colored available for hussars
Avarus 13 May @ 12:12pm
No problem. It's a third party plugin btw, you can get it on the author's website: https://www.fnord.com/
Andromeda  [author] 13 May @ 6:53am
@GreedBC Oh I didnt know that such an option exists in Photoshop. I tried to do it through third party soft but nothing worked. Thx I will try closer to the weekend
Avarus 12 May @ 8:17am
@Andromeda after chatting with some people in Dub's discord, I managed to reduce severely those pesky outlines. You just have to save the tex files with the SuperPNG in Photoshop, and check the "Clear Transparent" option.
before [gyazo.com] & after [gyazo.com]
Andromeda  [author] 9 May @ 9:18am
if you turn off mipmap completely, the problem should disappear. However, when zooming out, textures might look very rough and "pixelated". You ll understand what I mean when you see it
Andromeda  [author] 9 May @ 9:15am
@GreedBC The problem here is that the image has transparent pixels. What do you think the color of a transparent pixel is? None? No, it's white, but with a transparent channel. What happens if you try to average the color between an opaque black pixel (the outline) and a transparent white one? Exactly what you see. And skin color is just a color multiplier. That's the problem with mipmap technology. Usually, it's not such a big issue because in graphics, excess is cut off based on a certain threshold of transparency (usually 70%). Rimworld doesn't handle this technology very well at all (if you see how your textures get blurred when zooming in and out - that's a flaw). From my side, I can only recommend the Graphics+ mod and play around with its settings, or write a custom pawn shader - but then I'd break a lot of mods.
Avarus 8 May @ 8:59pm
Well it must be something because you don't seem to have this skin color bleed in the screenshots you posted. And it seems that I also have it happening with apparels from other mods.
If you have more ideas tell me please. I'll keep investigating. Thanks
