its also weird that no other modder decided to use the base of this mod for their own vehicles.

I think it was this mod that lets me put a gun in the bed of the starter truck. I put a heavy machine gun on the beds to make it a technical, but it says it has no ammo? And it doesn't say what type of ammo it takes?

@GhostLiner Well as you can read in the description of this mod, its not finished. We're still waiting for the remaining Tier 1 and Tier 2 upgrades. But this mod hasn't been updated for 10 months and 1 day, counting from the latest update of August, 30th

@GhostLiner We're calling it dead since its not finished (Multiple vehicles they said would get upgrades but haven't) and hasn't been updated/touched for nearly 11 months now

man, I wish there was like. a major modification for some wheeled vehicles to make them have improvised tracks.. i wanna have an awesome uparmored car with tracks instead of wheels

quci question but how DO i upgrade a vehicle? I selected the upgrade and delivered the materials, but i cant order my pawns to actualy do the work. Am i missing something? If not then i have to look into a mod conflict (somehow)

Aww man, I just deconstructed my fully upraded T1 Mule to make T2 Roadrunner only to find out theres no upgrades for it :(

Wish I could highlight things on the map and click on the vehicle to load. Example. Bug raid -using the insect mod- and I want to load the corpses on a truck to haul more efficiently.

@qwe5n Oh, I didn't know that. Moxie may have meant that too. I haven't ran the numbers since it would be tedious to do. I really wish there was a spreadsheet for these vehicles already to save me the effort.

@|_| Clyax, you may have misunderstood me. I meant fully upgraded Mule - all major (offroad tires, expanded cargo, exterior engine and big chemtanks) and minor upgrades, except more armor upgrades. If fully upgraded, it still costs less, but is way more efficient

@qwe5n In terms of scale, you may be correct. The examples Moxie gave for Speed and Cargo Capacity aren't true compared to the Road Runner.

@|_| Clyax, I don't think that he was looking at the wrong vehicle. You see, the Mule is much more efficient than the Roadrunner in almost every way: it has more cargo capacity, better fuel efficiency, and can carry more passengers. It also has a bigger chemfuel tank, saving cargo space, and is faster on off-road terrain and in winter. Additionally, two Mules are better than one Big Rig, as they cost less and do a better job. They have the same cargo capacity (although actually 280kg less, but that doesn't matter), but offer better fuel efficiency and more passengers, faster speed on off-road terrain and in winter, and have a bigger chemfuel tank. Therefore, it's clear that the Mule is overpowered right now, untill the Roadrunner recieves its upgrades. If it does recieve upgrades, it'll be even more efficient than the Big Rig, so there's no need in T3 cargo vehicles, unless they get buffed significantly. (The Hermano is good though, as it's the only cargo vehicle that can transport la

so why are there no upgrades planned for the dirt bike? is it because its to small or no ideas for how to upgrade it yet because you could do something similar from C&C Generals Zero hour did with combat cycles give them machine guns or a rocket launcher, maybe make them able to be a VBIED.

hell maybe give the roadrunner upgrades to be a technical and maybe have the mule be able to have some sort of cannon or HMG with 4 barrels a kind of quad cannon XD

After I installed the mod and upgraded the Mule, it immediately starts draining fuel down even with the engine off. Mod list is auto-sorted and almost entirely Vanilla Expanded. Is this a known bug?

Any plans for upgrades to the boats or is their use too niche?

Fishing boat seems like it could have some things, Dinghy doesn't necessarily make sense, but this is rimworld, so why not :P Strap a rocket or cabin on it or something.

Yeah it inspired my comment since it was the top mod of the week. I saw Mo's fully stocked kitchen on a semi, but it looks unstable and its dependent on a framework that might not be maintained properly into the future, and the framework says to expect bugs in its description. Vehicles expanded already has a deployable functionality with the burya missile rack.

While they are tier 3 vehicles, the hermano and other cargo vehicles could serve as deployable work benches powered by fuel reserves. It could be really fun upgrading the hermano into a deployable stove food truck at the expense of cargo capacity, or perhaps a mutually exclusive upgrade to turn it into a butcher table or nutrient paste grinder/vat for hunting trips. The wisent or big rig could upgrade a machining bench, fabrication bench, or even garage bench for some on-the-go shells for your udar, or repair components for other vehicles you find.

Granted this can be all accomplished by packing along some tables and power cells, but that can get a little silly on the road. Not sure how or if the bills could get saved, but at least the nomadic vehicle convoy playstyle could benefit with all the world map stuff you're working on.

@Moxie I think you were looking at the wrong vehicle. According to the original Vehicles Expanded mod, the Mule is objectively worse in every way except Fuel Consumption and build cost.

@Moxie no, i believe it is not intended to be better than the Roadrunner, but because the Roadrunner is yet to recieve upgrades, Mule is the best cargo vehicle for now. Even the Big Rig from T3 is worse, because it has to be restored and researched, while it costs much more and accelerates much slower. (2 maxed out Mules can carry 280kg less cargo, while being more efficient in terms of fuel consumption AND can carry more passengers, has higher speed on offroad and in winter + bigger chemfuel tank)

It would be good if the vehicles that don't have specific upgrades (notably the tier 2 stuff), had access to the basic minor upgrades that DON'T have extra textures added as a temporary fix to avoid exactly what @Moxie is talking about there, because yeah right now the T1 stuff has the potential to overshadow it's supposed replacement pretty easily. Even the reduction in caravan visibility is pretty small.

Is the Mule intended to be better than the Roadrunner(The Tier 2) in every way with these upgrades? Even without upgrades, the Mule competes with it's supposed better easily, and the upgrades seem to make it simply superior.

Mule is generally faster on the map, has more cargo, has plenty of fuel...

You're going off the 6 months of no update on one of our 120+ mods.

This mod is in a good place. Any additional content is just that: additional content. It's not a live service game where you need updates every week. This mod offers a wide selection of upgrades that make Tier 1 vehicles stand out.

@PalmerA The Nomad is one of the T3 vehicles yes, so probably won't be getting an upgrade (though it's the one that could have the strongest argument made for them)
@weregamer Upgrading should be under Building
@MI-28 Havocsader How you seen how much these guys are working on? It's not dead, they're just busy.

I would also love an ETA on more of the upgrades (Wisent and Roadrunner especially, I love my cargo haulers), but as said they're a busy bunch.

What job assignment does upgrading fall under? It never seems to complete, and if I pick a person and right-click on the vehicle it doesn't offer "prioritize upgrading [VEHICLE]"
