Is there a way to revert the mod to a previous update before the name change? I think it broke my current save.
Serina  [author] 12 May @ 12:41pm
i used the newly added render stuff heavily so not really... you can keep using this, items are the same, only did minor improvements in layering and such
bowmansam 12 May @ 11:26am
Does this work for 1.4?
Serina  [author] 29 Apr @ 5:43pm
New version dropped, if you're starting a new run go get that instead!
Klao15831 11 Apr @ 1:28pm
Thought it was mod conflict on my part, but yeah, it really does seem only the warbows' damage don't scale with qualities.
Serina  [author] 11 Apr @ 1:27pm
huh, wierd, will check if i find anything odd about those
Serina  [author] 11 Apr @ 1:26pm
and ye, insulation values all need an overlook
Serina  [author] 11 Apr @ 1:25pm
deghl is "coat" mongolian, it's a gambeson
Klao15831 11 Apr @ 1:23pm
@al9000

I also know fuckall about vanilla balancing, lol, but if I have to pick a number I would probably make it so that a cloth padded deglh would be something like:

Armor - Sharp 12.8% (making it more protective than shirts. You can probably bump it to 14%-16% if you want it to be even more protective. If you want it to be essentially low-tech skin-tier armor, somewhere around 19%. I don't know what a deghl is, google doesn't tell me.)
Armor - Heat 5.4%
leave blunt armor alone, seriously. It makes sense thematically, but mechanically I don't think you should touch it.

Insulation - Cold 16.6C (essentially a better tribalwear, which itself better than shirt+pants)
Insulation - Heat 4.6C (sounds reasonable enough, I guess? Make no sense to me that it should be 5.4C, better than shirt, when thematically it probably isn't supposed to be insulating against heat)

I'd say padded deglh is the only item that urgently need re-balancing.

That's about it! Keep making cool mods!
Serina  [author] 10 Apr @ 1:13pm
to be brief: i know fuckall about vanilla balancing so i'll need actual numbers for an update
Klao15831 10 Apr @ 8:33am
Love your mod series and the aesthetics of the items you brought! My personal criticism for this one in particular, however, is that the padded deglh is way too protective. Maybe decrease the blunt defense slightly and maybe just cut the sharp defense almost by half?

I mean, unless my eyes are deceiving me, the padded deglh seems to be more protective than the armors in this very same mod? And it only occupies the middle section?

Man i want that laminar horse armor ngl
The Voice 16 Jan @ 11:35pm
In addition to warrior fur cap, some other items like padded deghl have OP stats like 180 blunt damage and 100 sharp damage resistance, effectively making all other armor useless.

I'm sorry, but could you tell me how to make a shield
because I couldn't find it?

Amazing mod!
Palasis 17 Oct, 2024 @ 8:14pm
Hey man, just wanted to pop by and say thank you for making these AMAZING mods for the medieval era! I appreciate how you made the clothing and weapons not to a faction but allowed it to be customized to whatever we want. You are the best!
Serina  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 6:11am
my process was writing the defs for CE first and then copy and delete the non-vanilla bits, in this case i forgot to set the armor value, 0.6 comming up...
Jimbo Slice 4 Oct, 2024 @ 8:48am
Yeah, looking at the xml's, under <ThingDef ParentName="TC_LamellarVest><defName>TC_Apparel_LamellarVestLeather</defName>
there's a line: <StuffEffectMultiplierArmor>6</StuffEffectMultiplierArmor>

Changing that 6 to 0.6 brings it more or less back into line with expected values, I assume it was just a simple typo... though there is definitely a part of me that really enjoyed seeing an excellent quality vest made of black chitin (from Alpha Animals) with a sharp armor rating of over 1400% hahaha, maybe it's a feature not a bug, secret medieval super-cataphract-armor leather vests xD
Serina  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 2:08pm
it's (un)unpatched... i have no spare capacity to figure out what range do vanilla leathers' armor values are at so a good suggestion would be very welcome
Jimbo Slice 3 Oct, 2024 @ 12:55pm
So, at the risk of spoiling my own OP fun... I noticed that there are two versions of the Lamellar Vest, a metallic one and a leather one... the metallic one has a "material effect modifier" of 70%, which is fine... but the *leather* Lamellar Vest has a material effect modifier of 600% hahaha... I assume that's supposed to be 60%, but as it currently stands, it's pretty absurdly powerful (especially with some of the modded leathers from things like Alpha Animals)
Serina  [author] 2 Oct, 2024 @ 1:51pm
shiie, forgot to finish the hats they had on the hungarian manuscripts
Kakabüs 2 Oct, 2024 @ 1:13pm
Now i can start to my Desht-i Kipchak save :steamhappy:
Serina  [author] 28 Sep, 2024 @ 2:29pm
please say speceific names if you want stuff to get fixed soon
fitznorway 28 Sep, 2024 @ 10:30am
Apologies, I didnt realize how many of these you'd fixed! The textile headgear is still registering absurdly high values, but a lot of the metal armor is back in line with vanilla, which is super exciting. Some of the best art in the modding community.
Serina  [author] 29 Aug, 2024 @ 12:56pm
probably not until after next week tho
2_Modray 29 Aug, 2024 @ 12:28pm
Wonderful news! Thanks for all the great work.
Serina  [author] 29 Aug, 2024 @ 10:42am

Serina  [author] 29 Aug, 2024 @ 10:42am

2_Modray 28 Aug, 2024 @ 6:38am
Any chance you'll add kid-sized kaftans? I love these as an alternative to tribalwear.
Nairagorn 25 Aug, 2024 @ 2:53pm
Cheers, love the mods!
Serina  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 11:14am
noted, fixed in next upate
Nairagorn 24 Aug, 2024 @ 4:38pm
Whoa, just made a (normal) rawhide (from medieval overhaul) lamellar vest, and it's got sharp blunt and heat all at 200% O.O
arkai65 22 Aug, 2024 @ 11:00am
@al9000 gotcha thank you
