I used to breed Axolotl's, and Immediately I thought when looking at their genes... They have to have it... yup, there it is, awful intellect xD. I adore them, but its true that the lights are on, but nobody's home. Very nice ^_^

vannila expanded has code that allows to choose genes from a ramdom pool.

@LoserUser359 No. The plan was to provide the random spit gene, but this is impossible to do due to game mechanics. Unfortunately, if a xenotype has several genes that give abilities, then even if only one gene is active on pawn, the abilities will work from all genes :CryingGhost:
If I can find a way to fix this, perhaps with an another mod patch, in which case the Axotl will randomly generate a spit type.
Loseruser359 7 Aug, 2024 @ 11:53pm
Are you going to make other Axolotl Variants for the different spit genes?
Hamacelos 7 Aug, 2024 @ 11:36am

@Mismagius Perhaps, that was the original plan. But I decided replace Wound Healing with Scarless gene. To highlight their weakness in combat and still remain a real life analogue of regeneration.
Mismagius 6 Aug, 2024 @ 9:05pm
i think you should give them regen genes cause in real life, Axolotls has strong regeneration and can even regrow limbs. if thats what this race is based on.
