I don't know if anyone else could be experiencing this but I have been using this mod with no issues till today. I started to notice after about a few hours of gameplay today that the altered gauges are having a faded effect and the vanilla texture is bleeding through. I looked at all gauges and the ones the suffer the most are the ones in the Control room. If anyone has experienced whats the fix?

Hello Rock The Cashbah, there is a compass just above the map table, but in order to see it, you kinda have to break your neck, or press N to move around just to the left of the Clock, and for it to work, the Gyrocompass must be switched on. Hope that is helpful for you. But I agree it would make sense to have a compass at the helm, with an Odometer that works, (can be reset) lol.
Rock The Casbah 23 Mar @ 11:55am
To add to what Don said, there needs to be a compass added to the helm station in the control room. I have no idea how the helmsman keeps on course without a compass. The devs put a compass in the conning tower helm station so I have no idea why a compass is missing in the control room.

I really like this mod, and it is fine as is. If you know someone, or if you are able to do this, then it would be great. A long time ago, I mentioned in one of the dev discussions way back, that I would like to see a working clock at the NAV table and it was done, appreciated that. On the map, however is a tiny black face clock, good but too small for my preferences. I would like to see a reverse side of the stop watch in game, that shows one of your awesome looking clocks, complete with second hand, really nice. Thank you.

Ctbb. 11 Feb @ 10:29am
Outstanding !!! just give me some time may take some time to figure out how to & maybe have some time to adjust some things.:steamthumbsup:

Disable texture streaming is not mandatory but advised. You can check out for yourself if you need it or not. Make a screenshot of the uboat floor closeup with and without it to see if there is difference. For me many textures get blurry without it. I don't experience any performance issues. (Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB, RTX 4070)
Finess  [author] 11 Feb @ 10:09am
Ahoy Ctbb. definately it would be great to combine those! I wanted to ask the same. Please send me the files I will implement. ;)
Ctbb. 11 Feb @ 9:44am
If you can implement or even better improve the textures in,(Ctbbs maps & Charts mod) I will undoubtedly give my Full permission from my side:steamhappy:
If you are interested i have a new version that i have made ore maby just the original textures that i can send..
Finess  [author] 11 Feb @ 6:31am
Yes this mod is standalone and still needed, not part of Projekt Bifröst.
@Rudi Mentär: dpth meter indicator was reverted to vanilla now.
Rudi Mentär 2 Feb @ 10:01am
Depth meter (3D graphic) when in 1st person mode shows about 10m more depth than boat goes an UI depth meter. Reported depth by crew fits to UI depth meter, but not to 3D gaphic when in 1st person mode. Can you please fix this one?
♀⛤WitchyWoman⛤♀ 31 Jan @ 10:40pm
Is this mod still recommended or should we use Bifrost instead?
"MrHindsight" 31 Jan @ 5:50pm
I love those gauges in the screenshots with the green lights behind them. Looks very nice.
Is the "disable texture streaming" mod absolutely necessary though? I do not like the idea of lowering performance as the mod states. I'm also using "Projekt Bifrost", and the screenshots on that mod show the new gauges. They aren't included and we have to use this mod also?
Thanks!
Finess  [author] 23 Jan @ 10:22pm
Now it is called Projekt Bifröst.
ecnahc 23 Jan @ 2:31pm
@Finess What is Astromod?
Rock The Casbah 18 Jan @ 5:47am
I think the issue is that the mod's bilge pump gauge scales to 300m, but the vanilla gauge only scales to 200m. At a depth of 100m the needle points straight up on both gauges but since the mod's gauge scales to 300m it is off by about 50m. If the mod's bilge pump gauge were to scale to 200m like the vanilla gauge that would probably fix the problem.
Rock The Casbah 16 Jan @ 5:33pm
Type VII, control room bilge pump.
Finess  [author] 16 Jan @ 12:26pm
I'm planning to revisit all gauges but currently too busy on developing Astromod...
Finess  [author] 16 Jan @ 12:24pm
I will check that. Which ship type and which pump? In the control room?
Rock The Casbah 15 Jan @ 12:43pm
The vanilla diving plane gauges near the attack periscope also have the issue so I guess it isn't the mod that is the problem. Its almost as if the gauge faces are reversed and should switch sides. I wonder if the mod can fix this. This mod definitely breaks the depth gauge on the pump, it is way off. The vanilla gauge is accurate.
Rock The Casbah 15 Jan @ 9:32am
I tried the censored version and the same problems exist in that one.
Rock The Casbah 15 Jan @ 8:51am
Great mod. I noticed that there are 2 sets of gauges for the diving plane angles in the conning tower and the set closest to the periscope is not accurate at all. Its almost like the needles are pointing in the opposite direction. Also I noticed that the depth gauges are off compared to the GUI depth gauge.
Finess  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 10:00am
Thank you vm! 🙂 I'm sorry you could not finish it. It was really tricky to make it work as texture modding is a bit broken in the game.
Ethrigger 5 Dec, 2024 @ 3:31pm
Ah understood, as for the rest of the mod very nice work, your work on the Echolot and such was one of the first things I did when working on my historical interior mod that never got finished. Glad to see someone else had the same idea!
Finess  [author] 5 Dec, 2024 @ 3:09am
Hi! Yes I also ran into this problem. My plan is to look into pointer handling. But it would be a separated mod which could sit on top of this one including only deep depth meter to let people decide.
Ethrigger 3 Dec, 2024 @ 4:19pm
Very nice job but the main depth gauge is not historically accurate, this style depth gauge was purely in Das Boot afaik. The real life gauge did not have colored sections and also only went to 200m not 260. I made a texture using the real gauge years ago while working on an interior mod, but unfortunately the gauge was innaccurate in function since the new gauge read 200m where it used to be 260. I didnt know how to tweak the function of the gauge to match the new texture. Possibly look into this for an update to the mod? Would be nice to see the proper gauge instead of the Das Boot one.

Thank you! Wish the devs make all dial work. Maybe one day...
Tristan 16 Nov, 2024 @ 8:43am
Look nice. Thank you
Ctbb. 13 Nov, 2024 @ 11:12am
speechless about the beutifull perfection of this mod!.:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup::steamhappy: Now its only left for the Devs to impliment the non working ore existing dials! like electric volt ,compressed air. Co2 & knot speed,etc..
Daisy Corleone 9 Nov, 2024 @ 2:26pm
Yes much better this dials ty u

I really like the updates to this.
I'm on a color calibrated monitor with HDR adjusted for an average of 350 nits, and I don't think the brightness needs to be adjusted. Love the glow form the bulbs effect you've added. Very nice touch.
kenberg 28 Oct, 2024 @ 4:57pm
If you feel like doing it or not would you care to increase the illumination intensity of the dial illumination's up to between 2.5% and 7.5% of what it is now,

As i have some minor difficulties in quickly and easily reading some dial's.
Don D Dwain 26 Oct, 2024 @ 1:36pm
I dont know if you can do this or if you know someone who can do it, but since the release the chronometer on the upper task bar is great, but I would really like to have the current time or clock face as you have here, by clicking on the chronometer to flip it to a current time with the same symbiology and texture as in above the map table in the command room, please pass this on if you know someone, unless you can do that.
The Interloper 17 Oct, 2024 @ 1:33am
Thank you for this. Excellent touch with the Swastikas.
Daisy Corleone 16 Oct, 2024 @ 10:14pm

Super Mod,weiter so:steamhappy:
Little Fleet 15 Oct, 2024 @ 8:59am
Can you make a censored version for this mod, without the Swastika's?
Finess  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 7:30am
I don't mind dislikes but I mind not leaving a comment with reasoning behind. Thank you! ✌️
