addendum: @Okida25: If this is from the actual commandline interface (patch runner), then this probably will only get fixed via a full Rain World reinstallation on the 1.9.15b branch.

I believe if you had the latest version of RW and then downgrade from it to the legacy branch, it doesnt actually roll back properly all the files (which include the steam api dll file for some reason).

There isnt much to be done here sadly aside from a proper reinstall.
Rawra  [author] 2 Jun @ 8:29pm
Hopefully last update: I removed the assembly check entirely. The remaining checks that are still in place should be enough.
Okida25 2 Jun @ 4:57pm
Looks like the mismatched hashes issue strikes again!
[ERR] Checksum error - file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rain World\steam_api.dll" has mismatching hash. Expected: AD1A1BE2503DB073, Got: 36E73A1A0DF5A954
Rawra  [author] 3 May @ 6:51am
Sorry about that, for some reason the devs keep updating the legacy steam depot (and apparently recompiling the main assembly?) dunno what the reason for that, but I'll add the hash you've posted to the official list of supported ones.

If this keeps happening I'll just end up removing the check straight up lol

Cheers

I added my hash to assembly-checksum.json in the mod's file and it works, for anyone encountering the same problem

Hi, I'm running legacy 1.9.15b but my hash is invalid

Your mod has served me well!
Rawra  [author] 30 Mar @ 1:09pm
Thanks. For some reason the checksum changed for the same assembly/game version 1.9.15b, idk how that could even happen unless they have recompiled the game just for the legacy steam beta.

Instead of checking for a single checksum I'll just make it a collection of valid checksums to check against, should fix this problem. Fix will be up shortly.

@mock: Can you post the logfile prints that tell about the expectedHash and actualHash aswell? Should be directly below the line you've found :)

In other news:
Seeing as there are quite many folk here that want this mod stay available as a workshop item due to various reasons, I can be convinced to leave it up for grabs :D

I'll change the description/title to reflect this a bit better soonish.
AviY2K 30 Mar @ 10:48am
would be nice to keep up for those who dont want to upgrade yet due to mods,
[i need to get spearmaster out of teh mast before i re-update the game again. :[
mock 30 Mar @ 9:49am
Ok well nvm. I updated the game, decided I didn't like it and wanted my mods back (particularly the ones I know won't be updated again) reverted to 1.9.15b and everything's hunky dory except now I can't get this to work anymore it's enabled but nothing happened, no prompt
[Error : X64 World] The game assembly checksum check has failed, this can only be caused by a unknown game version [v1.9.15b].
mock 30 Mar @ 8:31am
I would also appreciate the mod staying on the workshop as I've chosen to stay playing 1.9.15

(tysm for making the mod btw old versions aren't playable without)
miss meow 30 Mar @ 8:19am
@Nocalora probably just for ease of use w/ Steam Workshop?c /shrug. Could just mark the mod as a legacy version instead of just deprecated
Rawra  [author] 30 Mar @ 1:42am
@pink, @Sirius: If there is a need for this to be on the workshop still, I can leave it up, but how come the gitlab repo is not enough? Its not like the files will vanish ^^

Thank you everyone for the kind words <3 Means a lot to me!

Just wanted quickly chime in to mention one more thing: x64 World had a temporary storage folder that yall' might want to delete to save on disk space:

Windows: %APPDATA%\x64world
Linux: ~/.config/x64world

It contained the backups, patches, the patcher-tool, etc.

Anothing thing I wanted to mention: Library Loader and the former "x64 World Compat Patch"-style mods will continue to be supported (For now only Iterator TTS is finished and ready on the workshop, but Dreams -may- be updated aswell)

Cheers!

This mod is now deprecated
Rawra  [author] 27 Mar @ 11:30pm
Announcement: Once the watcher DLC drops and the game gets updated, x64 World will require an update to work again, I will try to update it ASAP once the files hit my disk.

And in case the watcher brings forth official x64 support: This mod will enter deprecation mode and disappear shortly after. (Library Loader and its companion mods will, however, continue to exist and be supported)
purrpetualentropy 16 Mar @ 11:04am
@Nocalora you're right, re-enabling only x64 world didn't recreate the issue. Thank you for responding!
Rawra  [author] 16 Mar @ 12:30am
@purrpetualentropy: There is nothing x64 world does that could warrant breaking this behaviour, I know it may seem like x64 world may be the culprit in your case, but I can assure you: it is most definitely not. There must be another thing wrong in your active mods / order the mods get activated.

However, I can take a look at the LogOutput.txt from your game instance that experiences the issue you're describing, just make sure to re-create the issue and upload the logfile to pastebin or similiar and link it here.

I just wanted to let you know its fixed now! And the mods you reccomended and this one are such a life saver, remix menu doesnt take 50 seconds to stop lagging and im not crashing whenever i sleep in a shelter, thank you for this lovely mod!
bandrbentley 15 Mar @ 12:19pm
Tried that, still crashes at the "generating map images" part ;(
bandrbentley 15 Mar @ 11:29am
Hi, thank you for responding! I havent tested what you said, but now the remix menu can open and pressing apply crashes it, ill do what you said just incase its from the same thing!
purrpetualentropy 15 Mar @ 10:46am
Hi! I think this mod breaks map merging for slugcat-specific maps. Specifically, the new map image (map_XX-slugcat.png) does not appear in mergedmods. This means that while the connections appear on the map, the actual rooms do not, which is the whole point of mapmerging. Another user has not had issues on an older version of x64 world (not certain which version unfortunately), and for me deleting StreamingAssets and BepInEx then verifying file integrity fixed the issue, confirming it was not an issue with my mapmerging files. Then, upon re-enabling x64 world (alongside my Lush Mire MapMerger and its dependencies, as well as Dev Tools), the maps broke, with the same issue of not having the map_XX-slugcat.png image in mergedmods.

Let me know if there's any files you'd need.
Rawra  [author] 14 Mar @ 10:49pm
You probably need to uninstall a few mods to be able to re-open the remix menu ^^ The game by default loads all thumbnails immediately into memory of all mods you are subscribed to. There are a couple of mods to fix this behaviour (no mod thumbnails; faster remix menu; number fixes) but none of them will help if you cant open the menu in the first place of course xd
