After digging through the files a bit, it seems like the easiest way to make it not change the checksum is to simply delete the map subfolder; any edits to that, according to the EU4 wiki, will change the checksum. However, this horribly breaks the minimap and renders it borderline unusable.

I was able to rig some code from the basegame 2K UI mod, along with its minimap border file to get the minimap working again, sort of.

You need to steal minimap_bg_border.dds from the basegame 2K mod, set up the spriteType for it in an additional .gfx file, then in minimappanel.gui (WinMerge or the like helps here) copy over the extra minimap_bg_border iconType statement towards the top. Then, in menubar.gui, for the two iconTypes and one positionType that relate to the minimap, copy over the position x/y values from the basegame mod to this one.

Leaves a lot of cursed empty space around the minimap, but it works.

Agreed. Not sure what part of the mod changes the checksum, but would be great to have it be multiplayer compatible, even if it requires a different version with some missing features.

The mod has now been updated, I also took the opportunity to fix some of the existing font issues. Let me know if you find any bugs.

FYI: I also uploaded Ad Lucem - Anbennar , the map mod I use for Anbennar. Give it a look if you like bright colors.

Thats part of the new province UI change. It contains all sorts of buttons like the build/upgrade roost button as well as the digging deeper button for dwarves. There are lots of changes to the new version that this mod now sadly doesnt work with.

I think I found a bug. When playing Celmador and using this mod, with or without GUIbennar enabled, you do not get the little box of options to improve members of your trading league when you open their province window. In the default UI is is located right above the buildings. The options come back when this mod is not loaded. Any ideas? Anbennar is so much better with your mod.

Also having that issue. Welp, time to learn how interface modding works lol. So far Ive added the new icon sets just have to figure out whats stopping it from allowing us to click on it lol. If anyone can point me to the right spot i can update it and I guess upload a fixed version until BGB fixes the official.

Just a heads up, the new Anbennar update seems to have caused some issues with this mod! In particular, I am not able to select deities for religions that have them. Disabling this mod fixes it.

Hi! Love your mod, it saved my back from bending to the monitor! But if I can advice - I know that commonly 1440p is called 2K resolution but technically it's not. True 2K is 1080 while 1440p is 2,5K. So if I can recomend maybe add some clarification in description. All luck for you with future projects!

Also, it seems this is incompatible with Dwarven Knowledge. Running both of them causes the top-left UI elements to get severely distorted and misaligned. As Dwarven Knowledge adds more Anbennar-style tacked on UI elements, I suppose that isn't much of a surprise.

Hello. Thank you for your excellent mod; it's made playing Anbennar much easier for me.

I was wondering if it was possible to adjust the scaling (on my end, maybe) for 1920x1080, which is my monitor's naitve resolution. I can hardly read the game's text at normal scaling and EU4's own GUI scaling feature is not very good, especially with Anbennar.

The principal difficulty is that the bottom tenth or so of the GUI seems to be cut off, so I'm missing the yes/no buttons on the Declare War popup, information at the bottom of menus, and some other icon with a crown I can't quite make out.

On my end I just changed the dependencies to include steam anbennar and BB and it seems to work fine

I saw the earlier responses and tried to replicate how I got it to work then realised it was because I had updated the dependencies and came back to comment and you beat me to it haha the dependency is the issue causing it to not load correctly.

And yeah wouldn't ever expect a BB patch since it gets updated pretty much daily would be impossible to keep updated

So if your BitBucket Anbennar version is named 'Anbennar-PublicFork', for example, and you make a custom local patch called 'Proper 2K UI - Anbennar BitBucket', you'd want your .mod to look something like this:

As you can see, the dependency now references the proper BitBucket version, and the remote_file_id has been removed as it points to this main patch.

If you do this, there should be no load order issues as the launcher now clearly sees the relevant dependencies, so you can at least rule that problem out of the equation.

This is the only 'easy fix' that I can think of that does not involve modifying GFX and GUI files, good luck.

The only other issue that I could imagine is if you're not loading the mods in the proper order.

If you're using the BitBucket, you'd want to make a custom local copy of this patch where you modify the .mod file (Proper 2K UI - Anbennar.mod) to assign proper dependencies. That is to say, you need to make sure that the patch is referencing the Bitbucket Anbennar mod as a dependency.

For example, you will see that it looks like this in its current form:

This is referencing the main Steam version 'Anbennar' as a dependency. You'd want to reference your local BitBucket version instead.

I don't play using the BitBucket so I don't know what the issue is, but sounds like there's conflicting GFX files and/or new GUI changes. But the new Steam version is dropping soon AFAIK, I'll have a look and update the patch then.

For reference, any new interface GFX file or GUI change on the BitBucket would need to be scaled by a certain factor (in the case of GFX files) or modified (in the case of GUI files) for it to look good on a 2K resolution. That's what this patch does.

That's also why it's a pain in the ass to patch the BitBucket version, because it's unstable and frequently changed, which is why I don't do it.

Annoyingly, it now sometimes just works and sometimes doesnt. By clearing cache I meant i unsubbed from the mod, opened the launcher and hit "Reload installed mods" with clear cache checked. Then i resub, do the reload with cache clearing again and it worked. I'm currently back to it not working though, really not sure whats causing it.
What was your solution with the patch? I've done a bit of modding for EU4 but I havent had the time to sit down and figure out what wasn't working.

@VanHeuss how exactly did you get it to work on bitbucket? When you say clearing cache do you mean verify or did you go in and delete some folders? I've never been able to get it to work by default on bitbucket I had to make a patch to get it to work but its pretty scuffed since i'm not a modder so if you have a way to get it working I'd love to hear

I also have the RESTORE_BUILDINGS_TEXT bug, clicking on anything unfortunately doesn't help and I have to restart every time. Any way I can fix it via console or something? Very annoying, but the game is basically unplayable without this mod on my monitor :(

Whenever i try to run it on the bitbucket nothing is correct, even the main menu is messed up. Not sure why that would be though

This is explained in the limitations above, but it is due to those menu's not really being a UI but a custom event popup with images placed in the correct spots to make it look good.
Transferring this to 2k would be hard.

If you know Anbennar you can read them perfectly fine though :HappyMask:

Yeah, I've noticed that too sometimes, it's a weird bug that only pops up occasionally. It seems to be a loading issue, just click on it and the building interface should reset.

I'll have a look later and see if I can get to the bottom of it.

I'm not exactly sure what triggered this, but sometimes, when I've played the game for a while, the UI for the "Buildings" section on the province UI suddenly went missing and replaced with a big text saying "RESTORE_BUILDINGS_TEXT"

Thanks for your feedback. Didn't know about 'Anbennar Better Popup Location' before this, I love it! I added a compatibility patch for it, which you can find in the mod description.

As for Doge Ideas compatibility, I may take a look at it some time in the future when I have more time. Given that I don't use it myself and that it looks like it requires a bit more effort, it's going to be on the backburner for now.

dirty-ass sloppy Doge Ideas compatibility: take common, decisions, events, localisation and missions from 2738561219 (doges ideas) and put them in 3311452878. Remove Doge's ideas from the playset.

Crap but it works. Would love an actual patch between them (and estates and trade goods for that matter) because I dislike the base idea set but absolutely LOVE this UI you've crafted.
