This map is not at all alien friendly. Getting into marine start for aliens is extremely difficult as the only real way in are two long, but tight hallways. One exo suit can defend the entire room. The posistion of said hallways, along with the doors, allows for observatories to cover each entrance and warn the marine commander wel ahead of time that a rush is coming.

There need to be a better design for marine start so that getting into the room in any way isn't nearly impossible.

The rest of the map has some major design flaws in that they are not nearly enough vents to get around the map for aliens. The entire map is three long hallways that a skilled marine team can simply shoot down and kill everything.

The map needs some redesign to be more alien friendly.

i adore this map. the design+setting is splendid! regarding balancing it seems pretty fine to me. the author was very fast to fix some of the earlier quirks and its running pretty smooth. go try it out.

This is just my experience. I always RTV whenever I see this map cause of the mentioned problems in my view.

This map is really marine sided. I tried it on 24, 32 and 42 player server. And most of the time Marine wins this map (I would say around 85% of the time I played).

This is what marine do, they put up a phasegate in southern hall and then its pretty much a slow GG when marine push into whatever hive alien got.


Why is it one sided?

1. First of all the corridor are very long without much obstacles, so marine can shoot from pretty far distance before any alien even get close to bite the marines.

2. Second problem is there are 3 long corridor: craddle, subnautica, and server room. When Marine get southern hall alien have no way to get pass the marines without getting shot.This could be solved with a Shade hive, but usually alien com dosent have enough res to make this happen, cause marines have usually already cut all the cyst for alien leaving them with very few RTs. And also there is no way to cyst for alien. A tunnel wont help since marine already put up the RT.

The error happens from the right side of Subnautics to Array Sonar. So basically all of Array Sonar the error happens.

where abouts do you get that error message jambot? it is a light entity without a shadow fade distance. I need to locate the light and change its properties

This map is pretty well done map though when your in the command chair scrolling the map. There is the Error: Shader is missing technique for rendering light.
