All LODs are red and has small distance

This is much better - thank you for doing this.

Cheers! I'll keep it like this then.
Norfolk_Chris 27 Mar @ 9:46am
I like the latest version. It is a great improvement on the the previous version that made the zoomed out look far too dark. :steamhappy:
avi  [author] 26 Mar @ 5:21pm
I'll make some adjustments regarding the zoomed out textures and update the mod. I'm striving to find the sweet spot of color that works best, but should it still look off, I'll revert it back to the original textures.
Quince99 25 Mar @ 5:52am
Your last update referred to making the buildings darker as you zoomed out. Would it be possible to have the previous version, where presumably they didn't become darker, available as well please?
FingernailsAreYummy 25 Sep, 2024 @ 3:41pm
Could you do something like this but with american buildings?
Oldhip 23 Sep, 2024 @ 6:59pm
some of them dont look like GB buildings but europe
MrToast 14 Sep, 2024 @ 4:57am
Finally! Why did it take so long for someone to do this? the vanilla buildings look pretty bad, this will help a lot. Thanks!

@Adie Gibbs
I tried this mod again (added at the end of list) and found that the zooming issue has been fixed. Have any changes been made?

When zooming out it goes back to the regular vanilla textures
Sounds like a LODs issue to me
DanielAir 25 Aug, 2024 @ 5:00pm
alright, thanks for answering. I might try to make one myself (even if only for personal use using Cities Skylines assets) when I have the time, but it's nice to know you have plans for it, considering the insane lack of jp buildings in the workshop
avi  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 1:27pm
@DanielAir

It's not incredibly hard to make but it can get tedious at times. I plan to make versions of this mod of architectures of different countries globally. I can't say it will be soon though.
DanielAir 24 Aug, 2024 @ 5:00pm
Is this type of mod (that makes the AI build different building) too difficult to make? I just want some japanese buildings without having to spend 10 hours placing assets and magnets
avi  [author] 22 Aug, 2024 @ 8:59pm
@Jamiebear

For now it will be Era B as it resembles the structure of most British buildings nowadays. I will consider doing Era A in the future, yet not Era C unfortunately. The textures and the structure of the buildings will look very off.
Jamiebear 22 Aug, 2024 @ 5:45pm
Are you planning to cover Era A and C?
avi  [author] 22 Aug, 2024 @ 3:01pm
@Adie Gibbs

That is certainly strange. I've tried out the mod but there were no issues with the textures. I can only recommend standard mod procedure such as unsubscribing and then subscribing once again. This could have happened after the update the other day. No texture in this mod has been left untouched. Beyond that, I have no idea as to why the default textures appear. Sincerest apologies.
Adie Gibbs 22 Aug, 2024 @ 11:14am
Even on a new game which I tried did the same
avi  [author] 22 Aug, 2024 @ 11:12am
@Adie Gibbs

Hmm. Did you enable the mod to an existing save? It could be possible that the assets or mod work in a new game; I haven't had the opportunity to use it on a save before the update.
Adie Gibbs 22 Aug, 2024 @ 6:43am
When zooming out it goes back to the regular vanilla textures
avi  [author] 22 Aug, 2024 @ 6:13am
@Adie Gibbs

Do you mean the red textures? I tried it out before publishing the update. If so, it is on purpose.
If not, does the game go back to the regular vanilla textures?
Adie Gibbs 22 Aug, 2024 @ 3:19am
When I zoom out it still defaults back to default textures
Norfolk_Chris 21 Aug, 2024 @ 2:53am
Does this add any new buildings? It looks like it simply replaces the existing textures of era B buildings with brick textures. These are only visible at close range, they revert to their default colours as you zoom out.
The brick textures look nice on small buildings, but they do not suit high rise buildings. I will not be using this mod!
Adie Gibbs 20 Aug, 2024 @ 6:35am
Ok... Thank you. But as I mentioned. If we use this mod as soon as I zoom out the colours go back to AV Default colours
avi  [author] 20 Aug, 2024 @ 6:15am
I think a stand-alone mod can be done after some experiments. It might take some time making sure textures match one another. Otherwise, during that time, using this mod alongside AV's works to a degree, for assets at least.
Adie Gibbs 20 Aug, 2024 @ 2:58am
Ok. I got it working. But unfortuanly when I zoom out it goes back to the original colours. It does not stay in the UK Colours. My thinking is make it as a stand alone mod.
avi  [author] 19 Aug, 2024 @ 3:48pm
@mongolteiko

Yes that is correct.
The older mod contains the default Era B textures (orange rooves, colored walls, etc.)
This mod replaces ALL Era B textures with British styled ones (black rooves, brick walls, etc.)

To answer your question, having this mod and the older mod will replace the older mod's assets with British ones. However, if you do so, make sure this mod is loaded first, otherwise the assets will remain with the base game textures.

In reality, any mod concerning Era B building textures, as long as they are not loaded before this mod, will be replaced with the British textures from this mod. Really. :)
mongolteiko 19 Aug, 2024 @ 3:13pm
Are you saying that the older mod is the same buildings as this one but different colours as the buildings here look different?
I [and I presume Adie] would prefer this mod to be like the other one so we can place our own buildings instead of the AI cities [like you can with the older one] but with the British textures/style.
avi  [author] 19 Aug, 2024 @ 2:10pm
@Adie Gibbs @mongolteiko

An assets version of my mod **technically** exists:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1942959382

This mod automatically replaces all vanilla Era B building textures with British-styled ones. The mod linked allows you to place vanilla Era B buildings as assets.
If this mod and the linked one are enabled, it should allow you to place the buildings from this mod.
Hope this helps. Cheers!

oh man never new my flat would be in TpF2 lol the third building in the fourth picture is a flat block where i live and oh man i am temped to see if that one spawns near my hq lol
takashi 19 Aug, 2024 @ 3:33am
If you use these types of MODs together, you can build old buildings in a new era. I recommend it, but please read it carefully and think about it.

Yes agree with Adie. Would prefer a asset version.
Great job though and thanks.
Adie Gibbs 19 Aug, 2024 @ 12:54am
Buildings look awesome. Can this be made an asset to please. Will look good in a village scene
