Does anyone have a copy of this map? The dropbox link doesn't work anymore.

I downloaded map labels mod, tried to make it work but I was stuck somewhere in the middle where it leads me to FireTuner. I can't get my head around it. Help me please!

Hello. I've been creating maps for past several months now and I'd like to know how did you use those so called map labels?
perkele 9 Jul, 2018 @ 3:11pm
This looks awesome, I might edit this comment to review after I've played on it but for now i desperately want to know, how did you get those geographic labels to work?
Psionicmind 16 Mar, 2018 @ 6:05am
Change at least 90% of Mountain to Hills

the map isn't appearing in the usual place after I subscribe (This PC > Documents >My Games > Sid Meier's Civilisation 5 > Maps) is there somewhere else I should look?

Not enough hills.

Cool my dude

@El Repollo That has nothing to do with Mars, friend. Nor is it a good game. If you want that, play Alpha Centauri.
Terrodactyll 15 Apr, 2017 @ 5:08am
Do you want Beyond Earth? Because this is how you get Beyond Earth

As someone who loves everything space I'm so glad you made this map, thank you!
about 47 t-rexes 30 Oct, 2016 @ 5:22pm

Newbsicle 22 Jun, 2016 @ 2:15am
This is a really cool idea. Thanks!

Version 2 is finally out! See Change Notes up top for details. Basically Vanilla compatible, Large and Standard maps too, reddish Martian Deserts, and others.
TofuSojo  [author] 12 Feb, 2016 @ 8:35pm
@Sans Yeah, the map wraps. I couldn't imagine a map of a planet that didn't myself, if that is what was meant.
CMDR Emotions 12 Feb, 2016 @ 12:17pm
I think he means map wraping. So a unit on the far left would be able to move to the far right, most randomly generated civ v maps have it on.
TofuSojo  [author] 10 Feb, 2016 @ 4:25pm
@trapster17 Flat; I'm don't believe it's possible in Civ5 to have a spherical map, though I would love that.
Aven Oul 10 Feb, 2016 @ 2:04am
in this map flat or spherical?
TofuSojo  [author] 3 Feb, 2016 @ 7:47pm
@Sans That's because the huge northern flatlands (the ocean on my map here) is actually one enormous crater, the impact of which created the mountainous southern highlands. This big impact destroyed any previous craters in most of the northern hemisphere. The few others must have been created after that big one. Excluding the ones that created the two small seas in my map, Argyre and Hellas; I don't know when they formed relative to the huge northern one, but probably afterwards. Also, your idea is cool, but it would create a sphere...which you can't use diretly to create a flat rectangular Civ 5 map. You'd need to stretch it back out into a mercador style map like above, which is why I sincerely hope that the next Civ finally starts using spherical maps. We could finally cross over a pole to reach the other side, etc etc.
CMDR Emotions 2 Feb, 2016 @ 9:06am
Anyone else notice how most of the craters are in the south of mars? Also, if I could I would make a bump map of mars, apply it to a sphere and then put , a scaled amount, the estimated amount of water on the surface and see how it almagamates to create a civ v map.
pprtrl 23 Jul, 2015 @ 4:03pm
I feel it would be better if a majority of the mountains were changed to hills.
TofuSojo  [author] 21 Jul, 2015 @ 11:47am
@Buttsagington Thanks and yes, a mod would be needed to recolor terrain. Also, I understand that the terraformed majority would lose its Martian tinge, but the barely terraformed southern highlands probably wouldn't, as the environment up there would remain thin, dry and lifeless up there. At least according to the guy whose terraformed Mars site I was inspired by. So I only hope to turn what is now Snow tiles into red martian desert.
The Hogman 18 Jul, 2015 @ 11:26am
This looks awesome! I am making another mars map/scenario but of what it may have looked like 4 billion years ago. I am also trying to figure out how to retexture terrains as well. I did some reasearch I beleive that it can only be done with mods, as there isnt any options in the map maker itself to change tile colors.
Also, if this map is an extensively terraformed map, which would probably be placed around 2300 or more, the amount of terraforming, probably 200 years from starting to get to this point, would probably change the color of the ground anyway. One reason why mars is so red is because of the almost airless and completley moistureless climate. With more water in the atmosphere, it would become browner, kind of like a mud color, over time. So the textures that the game has are actually pretty accurate for this map.
What im trying to say is that the map is extremely well done and accurate without recoloring the terrain. :)

@Caustic Snow I assume u r refering to the Snow tiles. Remember, those just represent lifeless high altitude wasteland. I plan to improve upon the map and specifically that whenever I update it.
Kip Dynamite 19 Jun, 2015 @ 7:43am
Nice accurate map! Do you think you could make the climate a bit warmer?

@tofu Oh, lol XD
Rodrows 18 May, 2015 @ 8:13am
had one of my best 10 civ domination game on this one, good work!
TofuSojo  [author] 13 May, 2015 @ 8:09am
@Sebbatt Assuming you don't have a mod conflict, I would guess you checked off Load Scenario. Don't do that. I am working on a new version of this mod which will include a smaller map size currently.
WeedBlaster42069 13 May, 2015 @ 12:12am
also why can't i select random leader?
WeedBlaster42069 12 May, 2015 @ 11:40pm
is it possible to make a slighty smaller version of the map?
TofuSojo  [author] 12 May, 2015 @ 9:49am
@NitroSkull Don't know where you looked. I just googled "topographic map Mars", and it was one of the first ones.
Thrise 18 Apr, 2015 @ 3:58pm
Sweet!
annihilatetheinfant 17 Apr, 2015 @ 8:02pm
I looked everywhere for topographic maps of these planets just so I could make my own terraformed planets... after about 3 hours of looking for a topographic map, I resorted to an Artist's rendition of terraformations of planets. Five days later, I gave up and found this bossomeness. Where do you get those topographic maps?
Dirt Person 10 Apr, 2015 @ 3:11pm
Been looking for something like this! Cool!

For when the changes are made. Could we choose whether to rename the natural wonders for the map?

Eitherway. Cool map and good work.

wish I had BNW. Let me know if you make a version that doesn't require BNW. This map looks awesome!
