Partily because I'm lazy,
but also because it would be kinda cheating to be able to have the bad guys glow in the dark

...mostly the first.

When the other Insurgents or Security uses this. You can still see them using it right? The glowing weapon at the dark and can snipe it if they have the addon.

when exporting, you'll need only one layer, and that single layer will have a mask with the glow.

I learned it from a steam user called 'overnight'
when exporting your vtf in gimp, before you export make a copy of ONLY THE STUFF you want to glow, then make that your layer mask.

then you'll need to edit the vmt file and add:
"$selfillum" "1"

In short: I like the design, that's why I keep making them.
even though it break the realism of the game, it make the guns (in my opinion)
look cooler.

I uploaded them, because I figure there's probably at least one person out there who's as crazy as me, and would enjoy the design.

I don't understand the purpose of creating such an immersion breaking and distractingly glowing retexture.
