Reminds me of gm_small_alleyway, love it.
Also I know you stress yourself out making these great maps but for some reason every map after I think the manor just feels samey, maybe it's the lighting or the use of the same props, I'm not sure.

to me it all boils down to good art direction. good sense of lighting, colour and textures. if i were you i'd start with watching movies with great cinematography, looking at paintings and photographs with good composition and lighting.

I find your maps very inspirational. Do you have any tips for making (good) looking levels? I know enough about hammer to make proper maps, but I wish they looked nearly as good as yours.
