sadly this one has now become inert after a update that caused clang, it cannot fly
josemaripl 3 Jul, 2021 @ 9:46am
:steamhappy: ok then and thanks for share your work ;)
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 3 Jul, 2021 @ 5:38am
@josemaripl Thanks ! Nope, I'm done with SE, 650 hours was enough :)
josemaripl 3 Jul, 2021 @ 2:39am
This ship look awesome, i liked test it before it gets obsolete :( Any intention of update it?
Thanks for your work!
Bolisaris 8 Jul, 2019 @ 10:28am
Okay mate, I found that but could not find a control station anywhere but if it is obsolete then no probs
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 5 Jul, 2019 @ 11:51am
@Bolisaris There's an entry to the interior on the backside. But this is obsolete anyway.
Bolisaris 4 Jul, 2019 @ 2:42am
Cannot figure out how to use this, how do you get it to the asteroid in the first place as there is no cockpit to control it?
KadeshiSwarmer 9 Jan, 2018 @ 4:08pm
how do i make it work?
Scorpion Daddy 16 Sep, 2017 @ 1:03am
so... the projector isn't showing the actual drilling part of this ship. that may be an issue
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 17 Feb, 2017 @ 12:40pm
Nah. First I'm lazy, and second I shouldn't spam the workshop with a piece of ship. There are already enough people uploading crap made in 5 minutes so let's just not add more. The easy way is to just spawn the ship, cut it, and make a blueprint from the head, if you really want to have it.
Vander 17 Feb, 2017 @ 8:32am
i dont blame anything. Can you make a bs for head part ?
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 17 Feb, 2017 @ 5:09am
Blame the SE developpers for making a projector that is only capable of projecting one ship piece !
Vander 16 Feb, 2017 @ 9:43pm
hi
i build this ship but there is no drill head in projector. I build rest of them completly.it is useless for me now.:steamsad:
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 31 Jan, 2017 @ 11:04am
There's a good chance that it still works since it's very basic, there is no scripting and no mods involved. Just try :)
Stevros1903 31 Jan, 2017 @ 6:16am
Know StarCore said he isn't working on this any more does anyone know if this still works (even manually) as would relay suit the server i'm currently playing on. And also will it work in survival anyone who has used this info would be much appreciated. Thanks
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 19 Oct, 2016 @ 2:32pm
Thanks. I have other games tio play right now. Maybe I'll come back to SE later.
TheBoogeyMan 19 Oct, 2016 @ 1:58pm
Awe man. You should still play asteroids thats what im doing. I wanna play planets but just to much lag. Id love to see more of your creations! Didnt mean to revive a dead post but i saw you on youtube and was impressed
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 19 Oct, 2016 @ 1:33pm
@BoogeyMan Nope. Not playing SE since my PC can't run planets.
TheBoogeyMan 18 Oct, 2016 @ 1:59pm
StarCore are you still making these?
Davv 11 Oct, 2016 @ 7:56am
@Wonsu Before Planet update, weight wasn't calculated for ships. Now it is. That's why.
lucifier 7 Jul, 2016 @ 11:15pm
can you make a BP of just the head part also?
Patryk 1 Jan, 2016 @ 2:22am
Can someone tell me why in my world this ship drill rly rly slow ? did he use mod ?
echance01 12 Apr, 2015 @ 4:41pm
Did you get your inspiration for this by looking at a TBM Tunneling Boar?
2lame4name 12 Apr, 2015 @ 8:21am
i like it but it has 1 big flaw, if i want to use this in survival, and use the blueprint, and stockpile everyting in my big base, i will be bussy for hours and hours manually transfering all the ore since there is no automatic way currently build into this ship,
pchalic1000 5 Jan, 2015 @ 8:06pm
i think if you make a bp for the back half and have one for the front half and use 2 projectors then line them up could that work
だ に え る さ ん (Daniel) 4 Jan, 2015 @ 4:06pm
@pchalic1000 - The projectors only project to a certain point. Parts of the ship that are only "connected" to the ship - like with rotors - are not projected.
The head is only connected by rotors - therefore no projection.
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 4 Jan, 2015 @ 11:36am
I don't know, I never tried that.
pchalic1000 3 Jan, 2015 @ 3:59pm
when i put the blueprint in the projector it only projects the back half is there a fix for it
だ に え る さ ん (Daniel) 23 Dec, 2014 @ 4:23am
A Connector to transfer the stuff to another ship would be awesome ... but still a pretty good drill.
zAmmE 9 Nov, 2014 @ 12:33pm
I cant get it to work.. :( I got it in my list but cant place... doesnt come up
Autowar 1 Nov, 2014 @ 7:06pm
Which timer group am i supposed to activate? 3 or 4 on the toolbar?
PlanetOrb 30 Oct, 2014 @ 5:50am
Awesome design! Too many Drill Heads and Thrusters for my server so I am going to disect one and see if I can cut down the size a bit. Thanks for posting!!!!!
Tiger313 30 Oct, 2014 @ 1:34am
That's alright then, don't worry about it. :)

Nice ship by the way. I'm digging it! (Bahaha, couldn't resist!) ;)
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 28 Oct, 2014 @ 10:45am
@ Tiger313 I'm not sure what yo're talking about :)
Tiger313 28 Oct, 2014 @ 6:25am
The mind boggles... StarCore from Planetside "Trouble!" outfit?
AlaskanAussie 27 Oct, 2014 @ 5:03pm
I think if you want the Auto-Repair welders to work, they have to be on a diffrent ship grid.

Try attaching them via connectors, rotors or pistons.
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 27 Oct, 2014 @ 3:07pm
@ rayymondas The idea between the clocked thrusters was not to push at all during a moment to leave some time to the head to drill without forcing on it, and only turn them back on once a full disc has been drilled. :) As someone said a sensor could have done that too, even more accurately.
rayymondas 27 Oct, 2014 @ 2:52pm
I love the functional and compact design being used here, and its actually doable in survival after a few hours if one focuses on this once their basics are up and going. As a note, a very skilled pilot may not need the auto thrust system, as they could find a sweet spot in forward speed to match the drilling speed with the dampeners turned off to let it go adrift and save on energy consumption.

But better to keep it in for noob friendliness, as people like me who crash things alot might need it for precision drilling.
Andyverse 27 Oct, 2014 @ 10:25am
Breching Steins is a good idea^^
scorpnoire 27 Oct, 2014 @ 8:46am
Net schlecht. Die Timerblock-Idee funzte auch auf unserem MP schon gut, falls da Löcher im Bohrweg waren.
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 26 Oct, 2014 @ 4:16pm
@Bigred2989 Yeah ! I don't like using mods, except for skyboxes or things like that.
Bigred2989 26 Oct, 2014 @ 3:37pm
All default parts?
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 26 Oct, 2014 @ 2:23pm
@Bean A sensor on the front, as suggested somewhere, would do the trick :)
Delebre 26 Oct, 2014 @ 12:43pm
I will see if I can get it to stop after going through an asteroid. If I succeed, I'll let you know what I did.
Magrivoy 26 Oct, 2014 @ 11:46am
ok
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 26 Oct, 2014 @ 10:43am
@Bean lol

@TheKillerVII Well all you have to do is position it towards any asteroid, approach that asteroid as close as possible, start the drills and start the timer block that handles the forward thrust. The work is done alone, without any other action excpect for this small initialization part. Ho and of course you have to stop it once it gets through the asteroid. Automatic stop is not handled yet.
Magrivoy 26 Oct, 2014 @ 10:14am
can you make it fully automated... so you press one button and the rest will be done automaticly??
Delebre 26 Oct, 2014 @ 9:00am
LMAO!

StarCore? Hello? [cdn.meme.am]
You won't vax me, Bill  [author] 26 Oct, 2014 @ 6:55am
Dude i'm not watching this page every minute of the day. Calm down... Yes you can pilot it.
Ben Gunn {FNF} 26 Oct, 2014 @ 5:42am
Very nice.
