what is an Universal Bulletin Board actually? Where is this UI? i tested the mod,tried to take any bulletin board missions but the game simply doesn't give me missions.

Is it possible to add the function that you can still refresh the shop after those 5 free spins, but you have to pay credits? Love the mod so far, but the rework of the restock button is quite annoying for me. :/

Thanks for the report. I will still look into that though, perhaps making sure the UI is refreshed appropriately for the Factory Overview.

Another thing that would be nice is it seems like the factory overview doesn't remove things when they are destroyed/deleted/transferred. I made a Zinc mine, and then transferred it to the alliance, but it still appears with $0 across the board under personal factories. I also created a couple factories under the alliance and deleted them later as it was just a testing thing, and they still appear in the list.

You are correct on this part. Even I have noticed this and will be looking into nerfing this part a bit. I'll see if I can lower the amount displayed and much more. :lunar2024dragoninablanket:

Here's a picture detailing the issue. This is in the starter zone and there are 8 copies of the same Exceptional Busting Quadra Bolter T-P on just one page of the equipment dock. Same cost, multiple stacks of 10+. It's a tremendous amount of shop bloat. I love everything else about this mod but this particular piece here seems overtuned and frustrating to work with.

Any way to tune down the shop availability? I'm going to shops and they have multiple pages of every conceivable upgrade and weapon type in every rarity with quantities in the dozens. Maybe that's intended but it feels way off from how it usually goes in Avorion.

Another update and this one is a major update.
Server owners MUST update this mod on their end so players may login.

Why?
Reason being as I completely changed how the logic works for the "Shop Restock Button".

In a nutshell, a cooldown mechanic has been introduced along with other quality of life stuff for the shop restock button.

Yes! This feature will become a standalone mod very soon and will be uploaded onto the workshop for those only interested in this script only. :scWitch:

I'll be pushing out an update this weekend. Bringing back the economic overhaul.
As well as squashing any reported bugs/issues.

Those wondering about icons. This mod does not touch any graphics. However, if the mod you want to play with along with this one changes other aspects of the game similar to my mod. It could have some conflicts. :lunar2024dragoninablanket:

A Mod I either recommend being compatible with or adding to this.

Notes to why: some stations need more usefulness in general. And makes it so you need less station spam to get more. (helps on lower end computers too to have less stations.)

Hey I recently got a new computer, I realized I havent play as much with your mod (friends started a vanilla no mod server....boring but its with friends so i play)

Last-I am more worried about player storage caps then how fast I can buy stuff from the station.
Plus I just want to buy torpedo's in Bulk, and cheaper since vanilla they kindof arent as useful unless you point blank range from your launchers side that they pop out of.

For those who feel that equipment dock stock rerolling is abusive...

First if you have the money all this option is is saving you travel time/loading screens.

Second, With a fast Hi jump range (energy and energy capaciity upgraded ship.)
I can get a 50 plus range jumping ship that can be ready to jump every 60 seconds.
NO MODS needed. All vanilla tech subsystems/blocks, and it will even be a FAST plus tanky ship, (not many weapons though.)
use this fast ship to jump to each sector with an equipment dock and buy buy buy. even rare stuff to upgrade those subs at a research station. So again

Third- seems like the crashing aspect is the only real threat of the restock option.
(limit how fast it can be clicked, problem mostly solved? 2 minutes to 5 minutes seems ok.)

With Cosmic Overhaul / Cosmic Comfort Tweaks enabled, I'm unable to reliably reroll a turret factory. The $1 million gets removed, but not all turrets change.

@Stormbox, In regards to the Restock Button, perhaps a mix of the two solutions you mentioned? Allow X uses before adding a fee and have the fee increase to deter continued use. After Y amount of time of the button not being used, reset to allow X uses before charging a fee again.

Due to a serious bug affecting game play. This feature has been removed and will be re-added in the future upon further bug testing & fixes.

Make sure to Override Mods on your current save before loading to overwrite the changes.

I'll see what I can do. I have also found the Shop Restock Button to be a little overpowered in terms of how easy one can acquire what they wants through the shop once you have enough funds.

I can either add a limited amount of times the button can be used for a period of time. Or have it use players money the more it is used in short periods of time. I'll need to re-code that feature and run lots of tests.

yes this mod is definitely very nice especially the afk system or the fact that it works even when the game is off, but there is a feature that is officially like a cheat and spoils the game a lot . you can easily get what you want by making unlimited renewals at the equipment stations if you have money. and if it is not there, just press the renewal button and wait for it to come. do you have the possibility to change this, for example, you can still have a lot of equipment, but can you add something like removing the renewal button or limiting the right to use the renewal button? thank you very much for everything. a very high quality work.:steamthis:

It is recommended to start a new save. However, for this mod it isn't necessary. Since it does not add things like "new faction". Just make sure to click the "Override Mods" button before loading up your save.

And you will know as you do things in the game and do stuff that have been modified by this mod.

Hmm. That is odd. Because it uses the "Bonus" to calculate the size along with the static value '10'. So it takes into account of bonuses from ship, captain, etc.

Perhaps you have some other mod installed that modifies something similar to that? :lunar2024dragoninablanket:

Also i think I found an incompatibility/bug. I noticed after adding this that my merchants trade boxes had decreased significantly from vanilla. I made a change to the tradecommand.lua to remedy it but I was too lazy to trace to see if it was the actual problem or if the merchant class calc was was the problem but i essentially just updated line 239 from "local squareBase = 10 + bonus" to "local squareBase = 17 + bonus". I am also running a captain mod Oh My Captain, so it could just be a conflict with that. Hopefully that is helpful!

This is awesome thank you! I Just got into Avorion and I've been looking through mods for the last few days frequently getting disappointed at all the cool mods that have not been updated.... and look at what I find, many of them are here!
