yeah its similiar, but i did not steal anything. I asked a lot of people if this could be considered stealing before all of this, they said no after checking it out fully, so i uploaded it. Then this happened but its all good now. Also, this is like 150 bricks less.

had me think for a moment since the similarity to a pheonix was insane

ofc before i commented i looked to see all the comments, so

All good

thank you for understanding too, sorry about all this

okay, the only thing i wanted is to prove that i did not steal anything. I get it, i even asked people if this was okay and not considered stealing, and sorry if i was rude, but i had to defend myself somehow. This was starting to look like you thought you "came up" with the shape, but i get it. It looks similiar, and it is, but again, i dont like stealing. I have multiple instances where people have made stuff for me, and i refused using it, instead made it myself later. I never take stuff, even with credit as i personally dont like it. Thanks for understanding, have a good day!

look, I was scrolling through the workshop and saw a car with an extremely slimier shape and size to mine, with a lot of the same building methods, it looks similar, they do have a lot of differences, and I don't think its stolen anymore, but don't put words in my mouth trying to make me look bad
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:50am
by the way, what you said is true, the shape is basically the same, but tell me, what other shape could i have done for a 1950 sedan? Look at literally basically any 1950s sedan's side profile, it looks almost identical to this. If this is stealing, then is beamng stealing too with its Burnside Special?

also funny thing: the hood on mine is built differently, and its actually built the same as a legacy creation. Compare the way my hood is built to yours and the 1950 Chevrolet Pickup (that old legacy creation)

yes I looked in the editor, and like I said the trunk shape, hood and roof are nearly identical, the rest is different, it looks like he took my body and added his own stuff to it

I have also used other vehicles as a reference to make my own attempts, so that I can understand.

I will still do a more in-depth comparison of this though.
NO_NXME 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:33am
friendlyskies25 did you even look at it in the editor? its built quite differently
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:31am
As a reply to covet: look at the way the hood, trunk and other stuff is built in the editor. The only thing that could be considered "stealing" if building it myself inspired someone elses design is "stealing", that is the roof. It is built using the same technique, but is lower and at different angles, lenghts and stuff. That is the most similiarly built thing to FriendlySkies25's car in this. AGAIN, i DID NOT take A SINGLE BRICK.
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:27am
look, to explain what exactly happened: i did not grab a SINGLE brick from your thing. I always look at other peoples stuff to see how a thing can be accomplished, and to get a scale reference so i dont make something oversized. Now, this time, i found your creations and looked at how you did it. I was thinking of using the slope bricks for all angles, but instead decided to make it like those newer cars of urs. I used it as a reference, nothing more. Also, if you look closely at the way they are built, you will see that they are built different (look in editor) and have no gaps unlike yours. Again, i did not take a single brick. I have people that have seen me build it from scratch, and they can tell you so.

Even if it was used as reference, there are a lot of similarities that could/would border on reuploading.

I'll check this later myself to verify it.
FriendlySkies25 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:23am
I jsut took another look at it and you you clearly took my trunk, roof, hood, and fenders
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:22am
i shouldve recorded how i built this, so i had proof i didnt take a singular brick out of yours.
FriendlySkies25 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:21am
I did, it clearly takes stuff from my cars
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:20am
i didnt not take a single brick from that, i took "scale" as you said, and made it myself. Basically every 50s sedan has this type of design. I hate people who reupload or use stuff from builds without permission, and i never do it. Also just look at for example the way the trunk is built, its completely different. A lot of stuff is different, you just have to actually spawn the thing.
FriendlySkies25 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:16am
I know my work when I see it dude, you took a lot more then "scale"
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:14am
also how could i have taken that if the whole rear section is built different, roof is also lower, frame is completely different and also some other stuff?
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:12am
look at the frame for example
its completely different
i never take other peoples stuff, not even a single brick.
mthw™  [author] 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:11am
i know it looks like it but its not, you gotta trust me
built it from scratch, used that thing as a scale reference
FriendlySkies25 26 Aug, 2024 @ 7:45am
this is just one of my cars you changed...
