@Mr.Woof It only adds names for u.s. liberty class ships. Others have enough variety in their name pools. I also had a look at other ship classes but most already had all names that historically were given to those ships so adding more would have been fantasy/non-historical. There will be only Nelson and Rodney for Nelson class for example since those were the only ships of that class.

does it only change the names of the Liberties or are the bames also applied to other ship types?

@Jack Schitt Sadly it's not savegame compatible. Maybe one of the various datasheet reload mods could slipstream this into an existing savegame, but I haven't tested it myself.

Is this save game compatible? I imagine it is but according to the first comment in the comments it is not, so I'm asking for confirmation. Thanks!

It's puzzling that an external mod is needed to fix this old bug; however, many thanks to Red_Seven_ for solving the problem.

@Urban79 yes, it's compatible with all patches of the 2024.1 and also the 2025.1 versions.

Me when I am supposed to sink a Liberty in a convoy of +40 ships, scout all of them, find my target, sink my target, turns out that I didnt spot ONE more ship, which had the same name - my actual target.

Developers should incorporate that into game (and make it work with existing games, just leave old names as they are or smth we don't care) ask them

Cool thing, similar to UBE properties ;) ships variety in type and name is a thing in vanilla

@Thahat I wish it would work on existing savegames. Just sank 5 SS Frank Lever in a convoy and the one I got a mission for is still up and running...
