@fodofox, usually a hugslib report helps the mod author track down an issue better than just saying it doesn't work.
Alma_S 11 hours ago
@Sarelth im asking the same too. the bone mods ive tried all have bone drops on normal butcher, so adding this mod on top of them is redundant and exploity, since those mods also have recipes to extract bones from corpses that are no longer fit for consumption, letting you gain bones twice with this mod
Fodofox 7 Aug @ 10:27am
Somehow this mod managed to make my mod collection unusable, even if this mod has been removed.
Sarelth 7 Aug @ 2:03am
I have ideas for how to use this in a colony, but I was wondering what other people use it for? Is there a mod that lets me make decorative placeable skulls? Does it integrate with the Bones mod? Can I make them into something?

I have thoughts of Necromancer playthrough. Could be interesting.

Jesse Spot earlier in the comments mentioned that a body when butchered returns the flesh body but drops no skeleton. I have a similar glitch that works for all animals, except when I butcher a human corpse it drops, no skeleton nor resources, it instead strips some of the apparel off (not all of it) and the corpse doesn't change. No resources drop nothing changes except the corpse gets stripped of some apparel. This is kind-of problematic because I cannot actually play the game without disabling this mod due to this frustrating glitch.

If this mod detects that butchering will also try to drop a bone resource, it should spawn a colony ending skeleton boss to humble those who break the laws of matter exchange.

* Updated for version 1.6!!!
* Cleaner code!
* And... That's about it!
WaKKO151 12 Jul @ 7:29am
love this mod. hope it gets updated. Great work man. Totally addicted to this.
Kolljak 3 Jul @ 6:41am
at least the workshop shortcuts ingame fail.
Kolljak 3 Jul @ 6:41am
It would seem steam has fucked Rimworlds workshop page. not sure why but multiple mods have been relisted and or links go to mods that dont exist.
QeoJin 3 Jul @ 1:00am
1.6?
LZIM 25 Jun @ 7:09pm
Not sure why but clicking on workshop page for this mod shows 404
Arylice  [author] 16 May @ 7:08am
Yes
Keinecat 15 May @ 10:42pm
Does this work with Entities from Anamoly?
PistFissed 13 May @ 7:46pm
Still unable to butcher Schrats from medieval overhaul. Can't find any way to fix it, so anyone using medieval overhaul note you can't get Schrat parts through butchery.
TeH_Dav 5 May @ 3:56pm
For some reason this mod conflicts the pphhyy's Bone Reaper mod, but it doesnt' give any errors (the game silently crashes during loading). X_X Sorry, I wish I had a log to give you.
Arnovitz 2 May @ 5:30pm
I am tracking an issue or incompatibility with this mod. It generates skull masks from rotted/desiccated human corpses out in the open map, then those skull masks spawn with "NaN" market value which causes colony wealth to go "off the chart" or into extreme negative values. This affects raids and appears to result in random game crashes. If I figure out what the cause is I'll let you know. Otherwise, very cool mod.
NihilRetnar 21 Apr @ 10:17am
Wish I had this for animals eating corpses as well, I mean surely, clothes too?
RomainG 31 Mar @ 1:36pm
Slight incompatibility with Medieval Overhaul: butchering Schrat is not possible and straight up resets upon completion of the bill. Only removing the mod allowed me to finally butcher those pieces of you-know-what
HIVEMIND 26 Mar @ 11:59am
Config error in IdeoRelic: ThingDef ARYBDS_Apparel_SkullMask is on available things list of IdeoRelic precept, but missing CompStyleable thing comp!

When used with vanilla hats and rags =)
VolatileGlitchAviator 25 Feb @ 8:42am
I am wondering the same thing.
Szczygiel 24 Jan @ 11:41pm
so how it works with medieval? In medieval mods, which are very popular btw, butchering leave you with bones.
Indi, Sohn des Ares 13 Dec, 2024 @ 7:11am
The more skeletons there are in my camps, the less my colony value seems to drop and the fewer raids and attacks become.

In the end, raids consist of 1-2 raiders or it calculates the raid in 10 minutes and no enemies come

But even destroying the skeletons doesn't help.

Only deactivating the mod helps
Kual 2 Dec, 2024 @ 3:05am
I think it might conflict with Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Relics and Artifacts?
Beep 25 Sep, 2024 @ 5:48am
Can't wait to use this to abuse my immortal chicken
TheSordishMan54 22 Sep, 2024 @ 3:01pm
Still haven't used this mod for my existing runs yet but will still have great potential to make the game more interesting when you gut animals or humans for meat.

About the Discord situation, unfortunately I got hacked from my Discord account that I used.

But fortunately I had an second account, to rejoin the server that I once been on New World. I already opened my comments on my profile.
flyons_gary 17 Sep, 2024 @ 7:55pm
Hm well bone actually is, you just end up with fragments with cremation. I was just curious since I do actually like bone mods and it would be nice if I could actually proccess them when I keep getting tribal members.
Arylice  [author] 17 Sep, 2024 @ 6:16pm
Skulls aren't known to be meltable :lunar2020thinkingtiger:
flyons_gary 17 Sep, 2024 @ 5:53pm
Clarification is it possible to recycle those skull mask in anyway? Or melt them down?
[XGm] XTCProbstA2_TTV 14 Sep, 2024 @ 11:27pm
Is there any mods that can use the skeleton corps after you butcher the creature. To make stuff with the corps to build other things? I was just wondering.
Mbos 14 Sep, 2024 @ 12:09pm
IDK if this is normal behaviour for this mod but even when set to drop on ground my colonist keep bringin the skeletons to a dump site.
ItsKairoKay 7 Sep, 2024 @ 8:15am
All i'm thinking is how broken this would actually be with vanilla expanded mechanoids because dessicated corpses can still for whatever reason be put into a meat grinder, so like actually cracked strategy i see there.
RandomEdits 5 Sep, 2024 @ 4:47am
I feel like there should be a way to turn these skeletons into bones. Having so much skeleton around after butchering is a bit much.
spectator 3 Sep, 2024 @ 5:41pm
raiders fear me, harbinger trees love me

Makes my harbinger trees very happy, they get a treat whenever we hunt for meat.
Jesse Spot 2 Sep, 2024 @ 8:38am
@Arylice

It's the immortals mod. I figured that out #oopsie.
TheSordishMan54 2 Sep, 2024 @ 8:31am
Preem mod here, if it wasn't enough for RimWorld lacking enough details not in the vanilla game. Then let the mod do one thing for you: Butchering drops a skeleton after butchering an animal... or human for your cannibalistic thoughts for your cannibal colonists.

By the way, I may join your friendly Discord server to not lose my chance for a vibing chat.
Arylice  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 3:11pm
@Jesse Spot
Parasaurolophus from BiomesModTeam?
I made a test map, and their corpses drop their skeleton as they should... :cleandino:
Jesse Spot 1 Sep, 2024 @ 2:47pm
@arylice

I have over 800 mods installed, so probably. The animal in question was specifically a dinosaur I believe from the Biomes! Prehistoric set, however I loaded up the world today and looked after a few minutes and my kitchen is filled with proper skeletal corpses not rebirthing into meaty flesh anomalies.

I do probably have extra mods in here from rim of madness bones, extra creature drops when butchering, and things, or it might just be an issue related to using the electric butchering table, because it seems like when they use the corpses at a regular old butchering spot there is no issues and it gives a skeleton.

So I did some checking, it looks like it is just this corpse. All regular animals butchered at both the table and spots or anywhere butcher fine into skeletons. Even other Biomes Prehistoric mobs. This one..Err Parasaurolophos... Keeps regenerating its flesh.
ColossalFossil 1 Sep, 2024 @ 2:00pm
@ThatUselessGuy - Yes. However, you will get slightly more bones than you should. When you butcher the corpse, the bones from RoM-Bones will drop. Then you can get bones from processing the left-over corpse into bones. The corpse will only drop 2-3 bones extra for human sized. So, not too much extra. You can also use "More Corpse Display" for a gruesome scene to would be visitors.
ThatUselessGuy 1 Sep, 2024 @ 10:28am
will i still get bones from the rim of madness bones mod?
Arylice  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 8:36am
delightfully devilish :menacingduck:
warmainiac 1 Sep, 2024 @ 7:38am
*sees mod, thinks* I could create a story involving selling human leather stuff and growing the colony from butchering humanlikes if i wanted to
Arylice  [author] 31 Aug, 2024 @ 1:53pm
@Jesse Spot
What's the animal corpse?
Do you have other mods that affects perhaps Rotting, Meat, Butchering or even Ghouls?
Jesse Spot 31 Aug, 2024 @ 11:23am
Hello! I found a glitch where the skeleton that gets dropped from butchering reverts back to the version with flesh on it graphically, and thus creates an infinite butchering loop where I can butcher the same creature indefinitely for resources!

Not sure what interaction of mods causes it, but it's a little funny to watch robots infinitely harvest a dinosaur for bones and meat!
Kokorocodon 30 Aug, 2024 @ 4:50pm
so... can I... like.... ressurect a bitch and do it all over again?
ColossalFossil 30 Aug, 2024 @ 7:07am
@BohhY - I haven't tried it, but there looks like there is a bonemeal mod already for 1.5 that may work with the bone remains from this mod. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2808308598&searchtext=bonemeal
BohhY 30 Aug, 2024 @ 6:49am
Hmm would be interesting if we could further process the skeletal remains for something like fertilizer...
