In the next few weeks I will be doing a major update to the map. Presently I have been calling the map version 0.6.0: I will be releasing 0.8.0 soon.

0.8.0 will add a few new things:
- A small suburb to the west of Sagewood.
- School moves to the suburb along with a new arcade and diner
- Strip club, liquor store, and bars will erect where the school used to be (capitalism at its best)

- Hidden rooms!
Grab your Sledgehammer! Whether people expecting the zombie apocalypse and everything thinking they were crazy to being rich people with panic rooms, there are hidden rooms in locations throughout Sagewood. They usually have good drops to give you a survival boost while surviving the apocalypse.

- New blocks to the north of Sagewood. This expands the city into the cell above.
- On ramps and off ramps --- taking inspiration from the four way intersection nearby, the way to get into and out of Sagewood will be through curved diagonal roads both from the West and North sections of the map. Making driving in and out of the city easier.
- Opened up main roads: driving through the small city will be easier and more fun with open roads that go through all three cells.

- East River Expansion
- What made Mr. Sagewood pick this land to build his "Mini New York" was the glorious East river that flows nicely through a dense forest of nature.
- The two cells to the East of Sagewood now have a dense forest and a sprawling river with bridged roads that connect to the vanilla map.
- This gives players nature and water near the city to make for a great base location (some assembly required).

- Removing "room" definitions from Fire escapes and alleys to remove strange lighting bugs and improve the mapping around building blocks.

I hope everyone likes the changes! It was taking a lot of the feedback I received from the community here, on Reddit, etc.

Update:
- Created "Sagewood North Map" item. Findable in magazine racks and will spawn in game.
- Reading this map will reveal the Sagewood North location in a player's map

No update, update:
- I am currently working on filling out the other cells. This has ended up making small changes to the map we are all playing. Mainly, the two large roads on either side of the park now extend up to the northern cell.
- The two displaced buildings (taco shop and gas station) have been moved elsewhere on the map.
- There will be a small suburbs added to the West cell.
- This expansion will change the map completely, so I will probably save this version and make a "Legacy" version of this map as a second mod if anyone wants the old version. However, these changes won't happen until I have more substance on the new version of the map.

- Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to this map. It's exciting to see people playing it.

Better this way, when the mod is completed at some point, it would be more correct to add support for map revelation. Thanks :)

I will keep looking into it, but from what I am finding, those maps are created by the devs. I might be able to make one, but it would be a mod where I create the item and have target a player's map and reveal it.

That being said, there is no map item that will reveal the map. It looks like creating a map item like that would require some time and research, but for now, I am working on expanding this map. So, I probably won't be looking into that for some time. Thanks for the question, though!

Ok, you liked the suggestion. To make it work or create it, maybe you could look at the mod: More Maps, this mod has the function of adding maps that can be found and read to maps that do not have said item, maybe it can serve as a guide or a learning base. Thanks :) I like this mod, great work.

Hi, does the mod have a map that reveals the exact location? Just like the vanilla maps we find while looting? :)

Small update 3:
- Heat map was updated to have zombies focused around the buildings, a little in the park, and in the forests surrounding the area. That should make driving and moving around easier, but exploring and looting, harder. Basing this off of the new heat map coming in v42

Thank you everyone for all the feedback on the Reddit post.
Going to work on adding more to the two empty tiles to make the map not feel so alone and out of context! All the buildings will be kept. More will be added, however, things will be reorganized in order to fit them better.

I'll work on getting this updated. I also will keep this version live and backed up, in case the second version isn't as good, I can revert it or throw up the legacy version. :steamthis:

The map has completed it's first draft! Hooray! All the building spots have completed, and some map details like stop lights and street lights have been added.

This is a first draft and I will still be adding more details to the map. I will go through all the buildings chronologically to make improvements and changes to make the look and "feel" of the city better, along with improving player experience.

I will continue testing the map by playing and trying to make my living here, to find areas that make it not fun or tedious. I will also take a look to see if my in game map changes took, as I haven't tested them since I've been wanting to hold back on updates.

This is my first map, so please give me all constructive criticism and feedback. I want to improve and make this as cool as possible! :)

Update:

- Created northern connection to main road on the Muldraugh map.
- Added In Game Map for all roads in main Sagewood Area.
- TODO: Adding roads for new north area.
- Added a new Motel, Jewelry store. Finished Fire Station and Twin Peaks Tower Mall.
- Added lights to several buildings and rooms missing them.
- Moved more furniture that blocked entry in the Warehouse and the Police Station.
- Moved couches in "Brownstone" rows because glitch where mob of zombies replaced a planter and got stuck in the corner happened. This should prevent this from happening in the future.
- Added a new Post office and a parking lot.
- TODO: Add lights to post office
- TODO: Fossoil north and south both need lights
- TODO: Add more lights to Bowling Alley
- TODO: Will add a second exit to the new jewelry store.

- Tested map on Multiplayer server, works well and does not crash after update. @chrisverrill20, I hope your game is back to running again :)

Hi, chrisverrill20, I'm sorry I only just saw this post. I was working on the mod today. I don't know why restarting your computer would not allow you to play, however, since there were updates today, sometimes the Zomboid client doesn't auto-upload updates. However, they can be forced by unsubscribing and re-subscribing on Steam.

This has happened to me with other, very reliable, mods :) :spiffo:

I hope this helps, I do test on multiplayer (MP) and should be available for play.

hey did this map break i was playing all day and restarted my com for updates and now i casnt play my save due to this mod

Correction: there's a completed POLICE station xD I modeled after RPD from Resident Evil 2 and the Dead by Deadlight map based on the same map.

Still working on the map. It's not complete yet and several blocks are empty, but I put four-walled structures to make the InGameMap look nice.

There's a completed fire station, and a multi-floored-two-towered mall. The fire station is new, and empty, as I just put all the rooms in today.

The stairs that were blocking walkways have been fixed, and furniture blocked entries have been moved.

Spawn points have been moved out of buildings to allow players to claim buildings as safehouses.

I will continue to work on this. All feedback, suggestions, and ideas are welcome! :steamhappy:

awesome! I would love to see this map get improved, it's in a portion of the map nobody does anything with, it just needs some work. Hope to see it flourish, I love map mods :steamthumbsup::spiffo:

Downloaded myself, don't recommend yet. connected to KY (near the zigzag road west of March Ridge) but is not connected to any roads. most buildings are missing, no car spawns, and the buildings are not good (stairs blocking access to higher floors, furniture in front of buildings)

more info would be great! Is it part of Kentucky, or an isolated map? If it is part of KY, what's its cells? Some in-game screenshots would be great, either to get a better feel of it or to get a grasp of zombie pop :spiffo:
