I am so excited to try another game as I noticed you said elves and dwarves have specific reactions, and last run I disregarded them.

I'm not sure about what Jesters said, as i did an orcs game, but THREE CHEERS for Wonderblunder for making a mod that you can use for an orcs/deep ones game!

Great mod but the cores arent generating profile or menace properly for me which made the run too simple.

Am having a lot of fun playing this god right now. Excellent creation!

Prankst wins comment of the year.

Makes me have the "Toxic Love" song from Ferngully go through my mind.

Surprisingly well balanced, a lot of fun.

I did see heroes get missions to destroy cores, but after world panic reached like 90%

I enjoyed this mod a lot. I'm not great at the game but I was able to break all the seals, win, and feel great doing it. And looking at the mod page, I think there's still a lot for me to see.

i love the idea of this god, but heroes do not get the mission to destroy my core before enshadowment, and so the world ends and they do nothing to stop it. it's sad. hope it gets fixed.(i dont know. if it's interacting weirdly with my other mods)

Idea is great, great, great. But the game mechanics feel strange, unpolished, unfished.

Capitalism in a nutshell.

Wow, definitely my favorite god I've played.

An evil industrial revolution is such a vibe

The percentage gain of shadow in the eldritch smog modifier tooltip is 100x smaller than the actual gain. I think some math on converting a decimal to a percentage if missing.

Question. I have played this god multiple times and managed to achieve several victories. Mostly from enshadowment, but few from climat change. How do you win by core production? I rarely was higher than 50 production on 42x42 map. At that point usually enshadowment victory triggers from all smog that I produce. What is the better city setup when it comes to abberant metal buildings? So far I noticed that it is a good idea to prioritise cities with 4 building slots, but that is it.

"You wanna talk about pollution?!?!? I AM POLLUTION!!!!!"
Andrian Talehot 14 Oct, 2024 @ 12:35am
while I have managed to win with this god I find it beyond frustrating to try and break all the seals. My production cores come under aggressive attack due to world threat and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I managed to win one game as I said but it wasn't due to me getting the full experience this god has to offer, I simply managed to get enough smog to make the new world freezing spell work effectively. Personally I feel that there needs to either be more we can do to protect our production cores or the seal requirements need to be drastically reduced for the later seals.

so this is what Factorio players do in their free time

It's a crime that this mod isn't rated at five stars. Even with all the little bugs and inconveniences, this is another banger. Keep 'em coming, Wonderblunder!
Pranksts 5 Oct, 2024 @ 4:31pm
i've always asked myself who my greatest enemy is; the humans which pride themselves on innovation and strength through unity? the elves which are the very personification of an angel's beauty and grace? the hardy dwarves which attain unending riches with work and bottomless determination?

no. it is the lorax. that orange gaia oriented fool will crumble beneath my iron boot, through the power of aberrant metal. the truffula trees, the thneeds - THEY WILL BE MINE!

good mod btw

Thanks for all the kind comments and feedback. Life has been keeping me busy, but I'll work to squash some bugs this week and clear up some descriptions.

how much does the smog increase shadow i can't tell

Managed to win, even though I thought by around turn 400 that it was hopeless. Turns out those mobile factories are VERY powerful when they have pops to eat. The Alliance had over 2000 soldiers and could still not come close to matching my factories.

Also, they seem to be able to just walk away from battles and they can eat people while they fight, so they're pretty devastating unless stopped with overwhelming force.

Tbh, it feels weird that they seem to not generate menace by eating people. You'd think the alliance would proactively go and try to kill these things BEFORE they eat enough of the world that they become too big to stop.
Typical_Name 28 Sep, 2024 @ 8:50pm
I liked this, but I feel like there might be a bug - my repomen seemed to consistently go to the elves to collect pops, even though their text seems to imply they're supposed to go the locations adjacent to their production core.

Also, for the mobile factories, it seems like setting Mode: Strip Mining doesn't do anything. If I toggle it, it still isn't set the following turn.

Other comments:
Some powers just don't seem that useful. Why would I ever use Overdrive, given that a location with high shadow will naturally gain Efficiency very quickly? Why would I use Blood is Fuel, given that it kills pops (a vital resource for producing Units) only to create shadow (which I can do with agents - if I've fully infiltrated a city it can easily be Enshadowed) and death (which the text implies is a "fuel" but as far as I can tell isn't actually helpful)? Why would it be helpful to send all of my smog to one location with Smog-Bound be worth 3 power?

This looks fun, and there hasnt been a new God in a while. Cant wait to try this out
crawlers 24 Sep, 2024 @ 12:37pm
Is anyone else experiencing that situation where production cores in the dark empire just delete the local army and refuse to generate a new aberrant laborer army? Mine had production cores before the dark empire was established, that might have something to do with it.

This was a fun elder god to play theme-wise! Everyone's productive now.
Manyak Bombaci 21 Sep, 2024 @ 1:20pm
I feel like an evil capitalist playing this... or a normal capitalist I guess.

An extremely lovely mod, have had great fun with it over the past two days :D. Can see a lot of thought was put in the mechanics. Thanks!

@Balake you need to convert all of the points of interest, including the city palace

Hey, love the mod! I did run into an issue, probably self inflected as i must have overlooked something.

Not sure how a city becomes a factory to use the last power on. Does the eldritch smog or core eff have to reach a specific level?
Wonderblunder  [author] 15 Sep, 2024 @ 1:01pm
@Hasrem thanks for the feedback! Not taking enshadowment into account for destroying cores was definitely an oversight on my end. I'll go ahead and make a quick update either tonight or tomorrow tonight to fix that.
Hasrem 15 Sep, 2024 @ 11:05am
Hey,
I really like the idea of this god, and most of its implementation. However, I feel that enshadowment should reduce the desire to destroy your cores/Being fully enshadowed should prevent it. Maybe Menace should be a thing? With the current way of only being prevented by danger, and being pushed by world panic, in the late game, your own dark empire can be your main enemy, as is destroys all the cores you build up beforehand.
