It mostly works without updating, there are some errors but nothing gamebreaking. I will update soon
Mr_Monke 30 Mar @ 2:13am

Everyone feel free to use any part of the submod you wish for your own mods.

I do not think I will add the optipn for other paramounts for now but feel free to do so if you have the time.

This mod have great potencial man, can you generalize this option to all LP? i want to make some multiplayer games and a lot of this features are cool but make the game unbalanced
PegasKyiv 28 Oct, 2024 @ 1:07am

Maño  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 10:10am
The mod has been updated to work with thew new AGOT update 0.3.3 and Roads to Power.

New features are on the works.
Yeetus The Mighty 6 Oct, 2024 @ 9:44am
Does this still work with the new AGOT update for Roads of Power??
Chicken Kickin Fun 4 Oct, 2024 @ 12:33pm
this is similar to the banking mod for ck2 agot. Can you make it so any vassal or even the king can make a standard bank and vassals can come for loans if poor or bankrupt?
Maño  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 2:37pm
@M4ZO I will edit the "Lion" references but I think something "golden" related could apply to a targaryen that founds banks
M4ZO 30 Sep, 2024 @ 12:15pm
great mod, but could you add a way to reject a nickname the bank gives you? I was playing as targaryen and got the golden as a nickname
Ranger 23 Sep, 2024 @ 9:41am
@Maño Awesome thanks. We love this mod seriously what a great idea.
Maño  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 11:59am
@Ranger Yes, I will add an option for the King to reject or pay back loans in the next update. I need to look a bit into it but it should not be too hard.
Ranger 18 Sep, 2024 @ 7:41am
@Maño So we were playing MP a few days ago and noticed that when I lend the King 1000g, the King does not have the option to refuse it. Do you have plans to create and event for the king, a player being able to choose and the AI having modifiers to say yes or no to the loan? Would be pretty cool. Oh also while I get not letting the AI open a bank, allowing the AI to suggest to lend the King 1000g and the King to say yes or no seems perfectly acceptable.
Ivy 14 Sep, 2024 @ 10:05am
Ah okay good to know! would hate to see this mod go it's a must for me
Maño  [author] 13 Sep, 2024 @ 5:15pm
@Ivy It is, I am just waiting for the new DLC to drop
Ivy 12 Sep, 2024 @ 9:22pm
is this mod still being worked on?
Maño  [author] 8 Sep, 2024 @ 11:36am
@Yeetus The Mighty I am currently working on a new separate submod to add unique flavour decisions and event chains when playing as the King and ruling from the Red Keep.
Yeetus The Mighty 8 Sep, 2024 @ 11:06am
@mano are you going to give some to the Iron Throne as well, i know the Iron Throne doesn't directly run any bank nor is it tied in any way to one, but i feel like it could do with some of this flavour.
shay 8 Sep, 2024 @ 5:38am
@Maño I was able to play with different required title after I manually changed that in decision file, and all events fired up for me, nothing broke. This way I didn't have to start as a lord paramount to have access to that decision, I could start as a duke.
Maño  [author] 8 Sep, 2024 @ 4:55am
Yeah you need Casterly rock, the Westerlands and some gold. I do want to give content to Hightowers, Manderlys and Rogares in the future.
shay 7 Sep, 2024 @ 12:28pm
Okay, I've looked through the files and it seems you have to have both Westerlands and Castrerly Rock; I've changed that for myself to a duchy I hold, and we'll see if it breaks anything.
shay 7 Sep, 2024 @ 7:20am
Question: you have to be a lord paramount of Westerlands to have access to all of this? I made a cadet branch of Lannisters and I don't have these decisions, but when I switch to Tywin I have
Camp Elek 7 Sep, 2024 @ 6:50am
In the long run will you consider adding the Rogare Bank, maybe making more content for the Free cities as well?
Maño  [author] 5 Sep, 2024 @ 3:43pm
@THUOT Thank you friend, I will include it in the next update
THUOT 4 Sep, 2024 @ 6:06pm
Maño  [author] 4 Sep, 2024 @ 12:11pm
@Ludociel You can create the bank as a Reyne too, you just need to be lord of the Westerlands and Hold Casterly Rock. Kill the Lannisters and take their lands, then found the Bank!! Then you are free to give away the Rock. All the events are centered around Lannisport which is the only city in the Westerlands and where most loans will go. Would not make much sense to be be giving out loans in Lannisport if you do not control the Rock.
Maño  [author] 4 Sep, 2024 @ 12:10pm
@coltonwhite69 I really need to add some attack and theft events!!
Ludociel 4 Sep, 2024 @ 5:46am
Can you please consider to add lordship of castamere too as an option to create the bank? Creating a custom, rich and influential house of castamere is one of my fav rps and this mod looks like an amazing addition to my run.
fisher.stas 4 Sep, 2024 @ 1:43am
спасибо за интересный мод, буду играть с ним сегодня
Ivy 3 Sep, 2024 @ 9:13pm
add mp functionality pls? good mod btw
John Helldiver 3 Sep, 2024 @ 12:03pm
Great mod, thanks
coltonwhite69 3 Sep, 2024 @ 10:22am
Very ambitious and cool sounding submod dude. I wonder what kind of event could fire off if the Ironborn raid the Rock. You could possibly add an event where they go for the vault? If they are successful, could that be grounds for the Lannisters to ask the Crown to demand repayment? A ton of potential in this mod, bout to download rn. :)
Maño  [author] 2 Sep, 2024 @ 1:48pm
I have not tried it out extensively with old save games to be honest. The requirements to create the bank are simply to be the lord of Casterly Rock and the Westerlands, have 1000 gold 500 prestige. You do not have to be a Lannister and you do not need the Iron Throne to exist. However, you will not get access to lend gold to the King since there is no King but you can still access the other options.
TheRelativeMan 2 Sep, 2024 @ 10:44am
Is this save game compatible? What are the requirements to create the Golden Bank? Does the Seven Kingdoms have to exist? I might have, just might, dissoluted them...

"@mano "@shay These are all great ideas! I really like the idea of including hooks, marriages into this, very interesting. One way to implement this could be to add an option to forgo your debt in exchange for a hook, etc. Always looking for new ideas for the player to gain power without going to war, will definitly expand on this for the next update. I also definitly want to add interactions for bankers like you say, hiring rulers, foment revolt yes'."

This is a SUPER good idea and I love that you are newer to making mods, as this looks really well thought out and made, plus you seem to be really enthusiastic about building it into the potential deep and varied financial options to accrue power without having to go to war -which the game really needs I feel. Definitely liking and subscribing.
ollied105 1 Sep, 2024 @ 5:44pm
is this one save game compatible?
shay 1 Sep, 2024 @ 9:00am
@Maño Nice!
Maño  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 8:54am
@shay I just updated the mod with a decision for the lender to forgo the Iron Throne's debt in exchange for a hook which he can then use to modify his vassal contract or arrange a marriage to a prince.

It is also a good idea that thay if the character lends the throne too many times at the same time and acumulates too many interest modifers, the throne could receive a special casus belli to maybe not destroy their entire house but destroy the bank and take away all their titles, I will work on that.
shay 1 Sep, 2024 @ 7:46am
@Maño For sure. I think all banking interactions should be penalized by opinion penalty, including making somebody into the rival, and finally, nemesis and start a house feud. I would imagine there could be a CB where a namesis can start a total war bent on destroying all hated Lannisters (e.g., Iron Throne king himself) with a CB allowing him to kill the entire house--that would be like a reflection of Philip IV the Fair of France destroying the entire Templar order, because he was indebted to them.
Maño  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 7:04am
@shay Lorewise I did a bit of research and it seems Tywin was indeed charging an interest on his loan to the crown, but Cersei in the books also calls the braavosi "usurers" which might have negtive connotations. Seeing how the faith of the seven is very inspired by the catholic church, in the submod I want to give some opinion penalties for bankers but not as bad as they were in medieval europe where this would be unthinkable.

For these reasons I think it does not make much sense for westerosi AI lord to found banks without player intervention.

Love this mod, finally have a use for excess income. Also a Rogare bank would be a nice addition if ever you're adding more.
shay 1 Sep, 2024 @ 6:27am
@Maño As for the lore, while Westerosi do not make banks, they are engaged in trade, unlike European nobles who considered any such activity not worthy of a noble and left that in the hands of wealthy burghers. So it's not out of the realm of possibility for them to also offer financial services. Medieval bankers could influence kings and nobles, but also were hated by all debtors: you could add character interactions to force a king or a noble to do something in exchange for forgoing a debt (like stopping war, or arranging a marriage; this could be done via exchange of a debt for a hook perhaps), and add opinion modifier and CB for debtors: to force Lannisters (or any other bankers) to forgo a debt in a result of war. You could rework character interactions from struggles to be available for bankers (hire a ruler to help with a war, ferment a revolt, etc.).
shay 1 Sep, 2024 @ 6:04am
@Maño If I am not mistaken Minor House Flavour mod has a legacy which allows Hightowers to make a bank, so you may look into that not to conflict with each other, since this is quite popular mod. They also have some stuff for Manderlys, but not a bank I think. I guess I will have to give Lannisters a go at some point then. Keep up the good work!
Maño  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 5:59am
AI does not use any of these decisions for now. Westerosi lords founding their banks is not very lore accurate so I left it as an option for the player only.

If you do not play as the Lannisters you still get a new decision to lend gold to the King of the Iron Throne and options for repayment and access to loans from merchants if you have decent stewardship.

I hoped to give unique content to the Lannisters so people have more reasons to play as them.

Currently Planning to allow to hightowers and Manderlys to start their own banks too, wip right now.
shay 1 Sep, 2024 @ 5:45am
Does AI use any of these decisions? I rarely play as Lannisters, so I wonder if AI can use any of it. Also, screenshots above are barely readable, it would be nice to have them in higher resolution 😉
