the canister shell can be replenished! like the vanilla railgun canister shell, it shoots a cloud of pellets which can then be replaced and the shell reused at a fabricator :)
@snark The canister shells I know can usually be "replenished" to shoot again. The Flak shells usually shoot several small projectiles. Am I wrong? Just wondering :hearts:

it should essentially work like a big shotgun, and that was how it worked during testing :) let me know if it's doing something weird!

I wonder, is there a way to increase velocity of the shells? My upper LRASC kinda hits the nose of my ship when I don't pay attention =O
Might be just a user error... my ship is 80 meters long and the upper LRASC is at the port side and firing to starboard...

@Rapturatron the only other person who's said anything about an error with Immersive Repairs said that it fixed on its own. you previously didn't give enough information for me to properly debug (should have told me specifically when the error happens, how i can reproduce it, what mods you had loaded, and the effect of the error ideally). when i didn't fix the inconsequential error, you responded by being rude and again failing to give me relevant information. i decided to do some bug testing myself and i'm pretty sure it was caused by a string of numbers i accidentally left in the .xml for the loader. i'll be updating the mod soon with a few more shell types and that will come along with the fix for the error

I don't really care if I sound like an asshole. Multiple people have informed you of this issue, and I can confidently say it doesn't prevent anyone from using the mod, it just spams the log whenever the loader is... loaded.

@Rapturatron idk what to tell you man, it's not reliant on immersive repairs. if it was, other people wouldn't be able to run it. if there was an issue that made it impossible to run, giving me a "hint" is literally the worst way to go about it and makes you look like an asshole

You keep saying immersive repairs isnt required, you keep neglecting that the mod keeps saying its missing immersive repairs. Simply stating it isnt gonna make it better. Heres a hint: It has to do with the loader for the weapon. Good luck.

@snark Sorry for replying so late but I figured out the day after I sent that comment that Lua Linker is required to apply the LRASC mid run. Is it possible for you to get in touch with the author with updates? You have more influence over the community so I feel this would be more possible in you hands.

really love this mod! its honestly a great replacement for the vanilla railgun. The only thing i think that could make it even better would be more shell diversity like a clustered explosive shell to deal with swarms and possibly some nuclear options for a more flashy, and spine shivering damage dealing option for those abyssal Lovecraftian abominations. Personally i love the charge up feature and the noise associated with it. It really gives the shot the feeling of extra oomph!

Getting error message about the "Immersive Repairs" mod being required, but don't see it mentioned anywhere on this page.

Error while loading component of the type Barotrauma.Items.Components.Repairable. ("LRASC" depends on a package with name or ID "3114087512" that is not currently installed.)

总是报错不能愉快玩耍。炮体颜值是真的高,炮弹颜值是真的低。平衡上可以再强一些,和EK Gunnery的重型轨道炮(颜值真的低)一样就不错。

It seems to have fixed itself, I don't know why, and I know it wasn't on my end as I didn't have the mod, nor had I even heard of said mod before. But it should be fine now.

Is this mod compatible with Barocraftables++? Me and some friends were excited to make a new turret hardpoint to put the LRASC on and for some reason when everything was done, the LRASC loader didn't work. Is this a mod update issue or compatability issue?

Your mod has an unlisted dependency, and lacking it is giving me console errors, it's saying it depends on the package ID of 3114087512

The issue can be fixed by placing this mod at the top of your load order :) It overrides the vanilla railgun shell rack.

If I can say my opinion then only thing I can think of to make it on pair with railgun is ofc, a nuke.
and maybe ammo that help in fight with monster swarms, a shell that explode and spray out acid clouds.

I recommend trying it against abyssal creatures and seeing its effectiveness :)
Anyways, more shell types are coming soon, like canister (or maybe even burst fire shells???).
I'm caught up developing the Shock Ranger Armor mod, but once I'm done with fleshing out the full suite of class armors, I'll get right on this!

Things I like with the mod
- Sick design, audio and visual
- Single shell loader like a tank
- Actual ammo types used in actual combat I.e. APFSDS (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot) And HE (High Explosive)
- It does absolutely DESTROY submarines, which is what it says on the lable.

Things I dislike
- Feels really under powered
- Uses way too much power leaving it outclassed by the rail gun's quicker firing time
- Leaves you wishing for a railgun instead as despite the power for destroying submarines, you are rarely fighting them.

Possible improvements
- Honestly I cant think of much other than making an ammo type specifically for anti-creature
- I do really love the mod, but it's almost useless in a campaign setting unless doing pirates and Coalition/Separatist Subs

interesting mod, only down part is I have not see much detail on how it work in-game. like
- do it use vanilla railgun shells? modded shells? or it have it own custom shells?
- how many new shell is being add if it use custom shell?

it can help some user or at least me to understand more of the mod before use.

Unfortunately, the vanilla railgun shell rack does not allow LRASC shells to be mounted. To fix this, please put the LRASC mod at the top of your mod list, it should overwrite the vanilla railgun shell rack :) I'm glad you like my mod!
