They're a good unit but they need scrap upgrades to be useful at low ranks.
Giving him a higher chance for regular goblins or trolls but lowering the pump wagon rate would be far more fun, unless they already have high rates.
You can lower the chances manually by using RPFM to open this .pack file and open 'db' -> 'transported_military_force_unit_pool_entries_tables' and set the values ranging from 0-6 at any value you prefer. 6 is the highest.
You can also completly delete the entry if you find a unit you don't like to be there at all, say black orcs, just as an example.
The factions getting certain units in question are marked by their name - Skarsnik, Grom, Grimgor etc.
Thats the best I can offer sadly.
Having high tier units in a waagh is good but it does break alot of the balance when you get a rogue idol on turn 10-20
Ignore that Grom gets a free summonable idol
Even if they do this, my mod would most likely supercede that table in the file.
You can always make a backup of your save to be sure.
Might actually do a Grimgor campaign with the Ogre Submod lol.
Will be updating this mod shortly with some better parametres and Skarsnik will have a chance to get his squigs
Will also be releasing an Ogre variant submod, then people can choose if they wish to have a chance of Ogres alongside their Greenskins.
Basically each region can add a chance to get a certain unit, but the units will not appear if said LL is not attached, but when you attach the LL even with a 0 chance boost, the accessed units still have a tiny chance to appear in ANY region, which is kinda weird imo, it also happens to any unit you set to 0 chance on all parametres, they still appear
So I lowered the chance of certain regiments and max boosted LL thematic units and gave regions where it makes sense, a boost to said units and lowered them in others.
This means you can pretty much get any unit, but theoretically you get more of those you wan't.
Ya Grimgor should attract as many Black Orc units as possible, something else you could do If you wanted Is adding some Ogre units to Grimgor's WAAGGH as he did take over the Ogres In the End Times, would make him feel a bit more unique plus not getting buffs for Ogres Isn't as bad as Undead since Ogres can hit hard alone.
Ya If It was just a location boost than that makes sense to me, but nah Azhag specifically buffs Big'uns so he Is pushed towards basic Orc units, would probably help Azhag a fair bit If CA made Big'un Arrer Boys.
Undead? meh that would be a downgrade In my opinion since the Greenskins don't give them any buffs and tech tree applies to WAAGH units so the Undead would be very weak units compared to essentially any Greenskin unit. Up to you but I think It'd make his WAAGGH's worse personally.
I actually gave Azhag a squig boost due to his location and I thought of him as a hybrid faction with orcs and gobbos. I even considered zombies and skeletons for Azhag due to the whole crown lore thing, just don't know how people would feel about that.
I will do some adjustments, feels like Grimgor could use a slightly higher boost to black orcs still.
Presuming that the upcoming DLC doesn't do this exact same thing I'd hope to see an update for when we get the new Greenskin units!!.
Oh ya and because Skarsnik also sort of focuses on Squigs (He does have Gobbla after all) It'd be awesome to see Squig Herd and Hoppers have a higher chance joining Skarsniks faction Waagh's as well.
This then also carrying over when we get the 3 missing squigs In the upcoming DLC.
