If folks at Ludeon Studio make 1.6 apply this mod into their vanilla stuff, I can hear "why I not think of that" from the functionality alone.

If I understand you correctly, in the game its already possible to delesect anything using ESC (or any other button assigned to the hotkey)

Could this be generalized to deselect anything? I often click to deselect, only to "find" an underground conduit.
