It's part of nightmare's arcadey balance, if you want to reduce recoil you have to use laser sights, or crouch. There's a huge difference between choosing to complain under a single gun recoil mod amongst 1000 other different gun recoil mods without caring to even check context why things are the way they are in this specific version.

@I'm using the Nightmare pack, it's included in it, tried the pack as is, didn't like this mod, commented on the exaggerated recoil. Simple as really, modpack is cool otherwise.

I'm not sure which part of the mods description made you think I aim to replicate real gunfire kickback. And if the recoil is too much for your liking there's a link to a much weaker version.

@yoru that's funny because even short bursts/sprays are completely out of control, the recoil is way too ridiculous, unless you can implement a way to make the first few shots have much less kick then this mod is the opposite of realism.

If you have no idea how guns work look up a video of gun handling/recoil demonstrations, not even a full auto dump on an AR platform has as much recoil and kick as any of the guns here on a single tap/burst.

Hahahaa I confirm, the mod is only for people who know how to appreciate realistic immersion if you don't want it to even move, play with the default modification that Valve gives you and that's it.

you're not meant to hold fire and spray blindly like the imbecile that you are, apparently. the whole point of this mod is to enforce you to use short bursts or double taps. crouching or getting lasers minimize the kickback and recoil, you would know this if you had read the description before crying to me about a mod you can simply unsubscribe from.

That's on purpose, in all seriousness the All Weapons Reanimation mod/the M16 mod in it does break this as the M16 has a new recoil pattern in it, making it completely unusable. So sad, I cry and use default animations.

been using this mod for months, as someone who prefers using m16 over other guns i'm legit confused by your comments.

The Last Stand version of the M16 breaks this mod and is pretty much unusable, truly sad.

gun recoil mod giving you gun recoil is a real deal breaker, of course.

What this mod does is cause your crosshair to follow the weapon's spread directly, which means you can control it a lot easier if you actually pay attention. However, it does mean you can't just hold your crosshair over a target and spray, which is a deal breaker for some people I guess.
