Sorry, that actually isn't a supported feature on any cosmetics in the game!

Even complete glove replacements like the Digit Divulgers or the Spooky Sleeves don't change the first person view.

Will the first person model be effective some time? I can see the cosmetic in 3rd person, but not in first person.

yep, I'm not sure what happened but it broke in the most recent update. I've emailed the TF2 team and hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Hey, I think the default style is broken currently and the whole arm's texture is the lamp, I thought it was just me but a few of my friends also had the same issue

For some reason, the old paint image re-appeared after it got accepted into the game. I've removed the image and it should update on this page shortly.

I get that you wanted to paint it to fit different colored loadouts and all that, but you gotta consider that engi's arms are where most of the team coloring you see in game is. The paint region removal does a lot of good for this cosmetic.

but if im seeing this correctly the tone of yellow/orange on the re-engineered style is a bit off from the color of the short circuit, which hurts a bit, still a great cosmetic and massive improvement tho

After much requesting, we have removed paint from the item. A new style to match the Short Circuit/default glove has been added as a replacement.

I think changing the paint region from the big primary color to the white secondary color would be better
then I'd make it not Halloween Restricted, it feels like it'd be in like with the Gunslinger Weapon and the Ro-boot cosmetic

It looks really good, the effort to make it look like the enginner concocted this mechanical arm is palpable. Unfortunately the paint region is to big, hurting the readability of the character. If you make the paint region more subtle ( like the light for example) it will be perfect.

Love the synergy with the Gunslinger. I'd love a style to wear it on the other arm as well, or swap which arm it's on, but that's totally optional. People mad about the paint are being a bit picky imo. I don't see it being a problem, as I would guess most people aren't going to paint it anyway and ruin the color matching.
