would you be willing to do a 1999-2003 faction using hendrix's vests? Basically S&S uniforms with the IBA from hendrix's mod with M81 and DCU?

Just have 2 versions, one early 80s with M69 flak jackets, ALICE and M1956 rigs, M1 pot helmets, and late 80s with PASGT vests and helmets and some ALICE rigs

But if I have time/motivation I might make an m1 version :AAF:

btw given the time frame the GM M72A3 is a more realistic alternative than the SOG too old M72

@Zhenja1 Thanks for the detailed info, admittedly the entirely of my research consisted of a 5 minute search on google images.

Definitely not bad, In the 80's for the National guard M69's would've been a more prevalent than the pasgt vest as those were still fairly new and priority given to active units also the same case with pasgt helmets, the 1985 movie "Invasion USA" the soldiers and equipment lent to that movie are from the Georgia National guard nearly all of them are in M1 helmets still , it's also probably the earliest capture of the pasgt helmet in a movie as one of them is wearing a brand new pasgt. You also see a lot of the older vietnam era m56 gear being worn, this would be still the case well into the early 90's , I think the last steel pot use was in desert storm by a guard unit , but the m69's for sure well into 1993 in an extreme case some Louisiana national guardsmen still had them as late as 2005 during katrina. Perhaps a good middle ground would be the lucasville riot of 1993 with ohio national guard or LA riots.
