Hmm, no such basis in the sources. What are you using to expand?
Rough 4 Apr @ 2:18pm
I have to say, expansion is probably too easy with this nation. What if the coubouters had iron vulnerability? They are kind of "fay" of a sorts, after all.

Ohhhh, alright! Good to know, on both factors! Also, neat!
Mormacil  [author] 30 Mar @ 2:38pm
In part it's balance, they're pretty nuts as is. However lorewise it also doesn't feel much of a fit. The idea behind the sight loss is these are shy creatures that take the sight of those they perceive as a threat.

The Blood Caps on the other hand are drunk on bloodlust. They have no such desire to be unseen. They wish to kill the long shanks with prejudice. Hence they get berserk in return for losing their sightloss attack.

Question, why do the promoted sacreds lose their sight loss ability? Not asking for a balance reason, just curious because of the fact all the other gnomes, including their pre-promotion selves, have it. Curious in terms of lore or other design decisions, is what I'm getting at.

I'm here to say that conquering the world with little men riding on geese, with the help of angry little wizards, is pretty funny
Mormacil  [author] 27 Nov, 2024 @ 1:22am
Just a regular attack speed, it's MR easy so you should roll against it pretty reliably.

How often does the sight loss trigger? Practically all of their troops inflict it so it sounds like fighting them is an exercise in Pyrrhic victories with most factions given the armies of blind men you'll soon be leading around.

Nothing wrong with offering help with the grammar. As a foreign language English can be a struggle. I'll add that to the next version though that might take a while before I push it.

I'm trying this out and finding it quite funny. The flavor is top-notch.

My only complaint, being a former English tutor, is that you need to put an extra o on "to" when saying something is "too much". It sticks out in the line about pikes being used to make enemies bleed when "they are to(o) tall too decapitate." But that is just nitpicking

Wow! These kabouters are exactly what I remember from the picture books at my grandparents place. Great sprites!

Yes I tried with undying/enchanted blood but I could not produce enough sacred to achieve a satisfactory critical mass. I'll try these geese riders - but they are fagiles and cost >40 rec points at this moment ;)
Mormacil  [author] 24 Sep, 2024 @ 11:51am
The rec points are probably just to high. I relied a bit on autocalc and the game overvalues age a lot. I should probably bring them more in line with hoburgs.

I do find HP bless works really well on them. The units in general hit pretty hard of you keep them away from ranged attacks. For those you need the geese riders.

Hello, very nice nation with gorgeous sprites, so flavorful, congrats!
I just wonder how to play efficiently this nation? Unit's recruitment points are very high (<40 pts for their sacred)- much higher than other nations - while they fall like flies in battles with their low HP, medium defence, no glamour. It's hard to amass good quantities of these little gnomes, even with 2 order scales. it's early age with low populations, they just have primitive forts... would you share any advices ? thanks a lot :)

The Gnome pill is the bitterest to swallow, but the most rewarding.

Statue of the gnome king Kyrië it is.

Would be amazing to possibly get a HUGE gnome pretender sprite, and maybe a master mage pretender. Played this all day, great mod!!
Mormacil  [author] 19 Sep, 2024 @ 12:21am
Thanks. I don't have any concrete plans for new pretenders. There just isn't a lot of material to work with. But I could do a "custom rainbow of the extra important version of this mage" variety.

I have ideas for more nations based on Dutch folklore so if those end up with new pretenders I might add those too. But for now no idea that are truly new. I could do titans based on some Celtic gods from the Low Countries but those wouldn't really be unique.

amazing mod! will this have pretenders?
Speleothing 18 Sep, 2024 @ 4:16pm
Beautiful sprites, as always
