EMPIREVSREBLES 12 Jun @ 1:43pm
Can't you just add something like:

is_ai = no

Or whatever it would look like for a Stellaris mod?
GalaxisStark  [author] 12 Jun @ 12:19am
Not much I can do about that unfortunately
EMPIREVSREBLES 11 Jun @ 3:43pm
Hey, I found that the bots in game are able to get unlimited civics and every other civic included when they reform their government.
GalaxisStark  [author] 29 May @ 12:44pm
you dont
EMPIREVSREBLES 29 May @ 12:36pm
I'm having an issue with the civics. If I select too many of them, it covers the entire civic selection screen when in-game, and I can no longer select any new civic. How would I deal with that?
Grasshopper 21 May @ 11:09pm
@GalaxisStark Weird, after closing it and opening it again it worked as intended. My bad , it works fine now.
GalaxisStark  [author] 21 May @ 6:58am
just tested, works fine for me.
Grasshopper 21 May @ 6:25am
Think the unlimited traits broke due to the recent update. The trait for unlimited doesn't show up when you make a new empire. Tried it with aquatic, mamallian, humanoid. Haven't tried it yet with machines.
GalaxisStark  [author] 18 May @ 12:04pm
alright i think i may have fixed it, havent been able to test
Gay J the Rat 16 May @ 8:01am
It's *supposed* to work on Civics, but like... when does anything work like you want it to? :steamfacepalm:
Gay J the Rat 16 May @ 8:00am
Maybe it's base = 0 under the ai_weight instead of just "weight = 0"
Who knows if that will make a difference though lmao :cozycastondeath:
Gay J the Rat 16 May @ 7:46am
Well that doesn't make sense at all :steamfacepalm: :cozycastondeath:
GalaxisStark  [author] 14 May @ 1:30pm
it had that and they could still take it
Gay J the Rat 14 May @ 12:30pm
It was quite literally in a section saying "Forbidding an AI from an action", so I believe it *should* forbid AI from choosing those traits.
Gay J the Rat 14 May @ 12:26pm
I *think* if you add:

ai_weight = {
weight = 0
}

That *might* prevent AI from being able to use things that you don't want them to.

Pure guess work on my part but I was looking at other traits and the wiki and from my understanding setting the weight to 0 should make AI 100% unlikely to have that trait.

Unfortunate news is that it didn't fix the robots pops from declining, but I do appreciate the quick attempt at fixing it. I'm not too worried about it at least, I'm sure other trait mods will get figured out for it.
GalaxisStark  [author] 12 May @ 11:16am
ok, well, hopefully pushed a fix. categories didnt exist until 4.0 apparently. i dont play machines or robots so if this doesnt work then its not a priority fix, since i updated this mostly for personal use
Andromeda 12 May @ 10:15am
This has been confirmed on a different mod that also adds trait points. People there have stated the same as me and my robots work again with the mod still installed, they just can't have traits that increase their points. The mod author for the different mod did state that they changed trait categories, so that might have affected robots specifically. Robots might need their own trait that's specifically for robots.
GalaxisStark  [author] 12 May @ 10:07am
@DarkAlliance unfortunately i cant do much about that since civics cant have is_ai = no in their potential blocks
GalaxisStark  [author] 12 May @ 10:03am
i mean, i have no idea how that would happen considering the trait does nothing except cost -9000 points. this doesnt happen with biological pops
Andromeda 12 May @ 9:47am
So this mod breaks robot pops if they have the unlimited trait points trait on. The robots just slowly decline and never grow until you take the unlimited points off.
DarkAlliance 11 May @ 12:35am
AI is affected now. Saw an empire with both every civic and 100 slots civic.
Daofather BigD 6 May @ 4:23pm
I think the effects of the unlimited civic points trait adds 100 civic slots instead because in the description it said 100 civic slots and it doesn't add any points
GalaxisStark  [author] 5 May @ 2:46pm
updated :)
GalaxisStark  [author] 5 May @ 1:49pm
update, the ui is causing the crashes. i dont know how the ui works, so im reworking the ethic bonuses to be given as a permanent country modifier that you can select as an edict. this may cause them to lose some functionality, but its the best way to get the mod in a working state.
GalaxisStark  [author] 5 May @ 12:34pm
i'll look into it, i dont know what specifically needs changing
Decended 5 May @ 12:29pm
After 4.0 this mod just crashes the game on startup (literally just this mod enabled)
Rainer 3 May @ 7:22am
increase civic points? 4 isn't enough for some reason.
GalaxisStark  [author] 3 Apr @ 11:15am
no idea
Primarch sarge 3 Apr @ 11:11am
hm what types of mods could conflict with this one?
GalaxisStark  [author] 3 Apr @ 10:43am
works on my end, modlist issue
Primarch sarge 3 Apr @ 10:40am
whenever I go to the civic place in reform government the trait for infinite civic points doesnt show up, only the one that adds the effects of all civics
renatops410 21 Feb @ 2:10pm
k, ty
GalaxisStark  [author] 21 Feb @ 2:01pm
i've added an faq because this is something that gets asked often. any more questions about this issue will be provided with a link to the mod "How to Read"
renatops410 21 Feb @ 1:33pm
infinite civic points doesn't seem to be working, please help T-T
GalaxisStark  [author] 9 Feb @ 2:54am
no problem, and thanks, means a lot
Nova 9 Feb @ 2:52am
GalaxisStark, thank you for the fast response and very good job with this mod. You are awesome man :)
Nova 9 Feb @ 2:48am
Okay, I have tested this mod, and it is working.

Sorry about that please ignore my first message.

Note* The mod in the description is the one that is not working for me.

GalaxisStark  [author] 9 Feb @ 2:41am
yes that mod is poorly done and will crash any time the defines file in the base game is updated
Nova 9 Feb @ 2:40am
I'm talk about this mod in your description:

An updated and (somewhat) optimised version of this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2677421643
Nova 9 Feb @ 2:39am
Edit: Sorry, wrong mod

This mod is crashing my game, maybe it is a new update, I'm not sure what it is but I only have this mod installed, and the game still crashes. I tried playing the game with an existing race that was not effective by this mod but with the mod still enabled the game crashed still, and to fully confirm I disabled the mod, and the game works.
GalaxisStark  [author] 9 Feb @ 1:17am
reinstall the mod, verify your game integrity, reinstall the game
it works perfectly fine on my end so it is a problem on your machine
AlwaysHungry815 5 Jan @ 11:04am
I have edited your mod to just include two traits one with -90 points called Omnipotent and another that contains all the combined positive traits called superman.

The AI can't get them and the traits pool is back to default meaning the AI is unaffected.
AlwaysHungry815 3 Jan @ 1:38am
Changed Trait points to 20 for a like more balance but 23 - 24 was the max positive traits you can take.

Changed civic back to 3 choices as there is no point in making it 4. Making it 4 effects AI.

The purpose I am trying to accomplish is to have the AI be untouched by the mod.

Setting a lower number from 99 balances the AI traits just slightly so they don't pick so many.

Altering trait pick perks outside of just changing the universal number is tricky however
AlwaysHungry815 3 Jan @ 1:14am
I was able to tweak your mod but encountered an issue:

I was able to implement most my suggestions.

- changed trait name to superman

- changed trait cost to -90 (9000 clips off screen)

- managed to change trait pick points to 25 (more then enough)

- managed to create a new perk called Omnipotent

- managed to change the description by copy pasting the first perk

- I understand cost = trait points

Where I am lost is finding out what the word is for "trait pick points" so that I can get the Omnipotent perk to increase perk points.

I've found on reddit and old fourms of others trying to add a trait that adds trait pick points but to no avail.

Do you know how to get a perk to add trait picks instead
GalaxisStark  [author] 2 Jan @ 3:21am
I can have a look at that soon
AlwaysHungry815 2 Jan @ 1:51am
I'm really enjoying this mod it works perfect, well nearly.

I don't believe these changes would be drastic but:

Trait Points Default:

Add two traits instead that let you add more traits.

OR

Have a trait with all the positives like you handled Civil.

Fantastic mod , really these are nitpick that would polish up yout great edit and tweaks.

Also instead of calling them "9999999"

Why not something like superman

Then if you add a new perk instead of leaving the points at 99 you can call it omnipotence.

Thank you, you're the reason I've lost so much time having fun
GalaxisStark  [author] 29 Dec, 2024 @ 4:32am
I doubt it because this mod doesn't touch gestalts in any way
rerk 28 Dec, 2024 @ 2:37pm
Any reason why this might remove Gestalt Consciousness? The moment the game begins, my empire stops being gestalts, and I just get planets with empty gestalt jobs and they all start acting like normal empires.

I've disabled all other mods and have tried this on vanilla preset races as well
