Sadly, I can't be a knight when playing a courtier. I tried switching to the ruler and forcing my character to be a knight, but it will be reset after a few days when I switch back.

Is that intended or might there be a different problem? I am playing with Knight Manager and have myself set to be able to be a knight.

Also this messed upsucessions while pairing it with AGOT, all the landed characters changes sucession to house seniority

I've been palying with AGOT mod, and most of the decisions are unavailable once I become landless wothout camp. I have other adventure mods, could they be interfering?

And about the female character getting married off, I think the AIs tend to just do that to any noble woman in their court, since the same happened to my character, the solution I found was marrying someone before they could marry me, but it would be better to have the option of refusing marriage, I know in the AGOT mod there is one for certain conditions, one of them is if a knoght want to become a member of the Kingsguard.

Hi, I play with your mod on a AGOT modpack, but, it seem like your mod block the ability to give council position or title to someone that don't have land

Playing a female character (not sure if this happens to males, too), I'll be at court and highly employed with two jobs or on the council, but then randomly find myself a world away and married off to someone I never saw before, disrupting my entire gameplay. This happens constantly, as I'll manage to fix it to get back to where I was only for it to happen again to a different 'husband' I've never seen before. Is there any way to fix this so that you don't get married off without your consent? I realize it was historical for this to happen to women, but it's also unrealistic that the ruler would just randomly marry off his best tutor/ physician or steward. Thanks.

Hey @FunGaming44, I've updated the main Landless Opportunities mod to include all the test version content.

I was wondering if you could upload a "lite" version with the decisions/government/casus_belli/domicile folders removed? That way I could link that mod for those who are using total conversions that haven't yet updated (e.g. EK2). I made a local version for myself if you'd like me to send it to you.

I don't know if it's a debug you forgot to remove, but you effectively gave a cheat to the player for the crown authority decision, with no cooldown for the player (not the ai) and no need to research innovation. You can pretty much go straight to tier 4 at start (as a count at least...)

@Aurion no idea what is causing it for you friend, i'm not experiencing that at all. Only thing i can think of is a different mod lingering in the background, i have used mods in the past that kept on working even if not on my active playlist it is sometimes a weird paradox glitch. unsub from mods you dont use to see if it fixes it if not then maybe a mod that you do use causing it

Reinstalled the game and it still happened. Many holdings in the eastern part of the world are missing, for example Jerusalem only has barony of Jerusalem.

Sorry to spam again, but could you make a decision to hide the character interactions? The "switch character", the "make adventurer" and "make laamp". It's not exactly a big deal, but it clutters the character interaction window

basicly it is made to stop the game from being game over meaning if your title get inherited by a non dynasty member then you will continue to play with that character

I have a question about the game rule non dynastic inheritance, I imagine it's for playing mayors and theocraties, but if you do with the rule turned off, yet have people of your dynasty still alive elsewhere, is it still game over when you die?

I was looking around in the government txt to just add the ability for feudal and clan to hold city holdings without penalties, and noticed it's already there. Does that mean that with this mod, a feudal ruler can own city holdings in game?

Aside from that, I also noticed that the theocracy_government in your doc, has valid_holdings = { castle_holding city_holding tribal_holding church_holding }
but the actual game file has valid_holdings = { castle_holding tribal_holding nomad_holding herder_holding }

I know. I had seen the files and there was nothing that indicated it modifies holding related files. It still happened when I only had this mod enabled. I had tried resubbing and it still happened. Will try redownloading the whole game and get back here with my finding

just checked to make sure but no my mod does not even have an on_game_start setting in it so nothing is done at game start must definitely be a different mod

@Aurion No idea the mod does not destroy holdings so that is very odd behaviour, most likely a different mod doing it as i have not implemented anything that destroy holdings

When I use this mod many holdings around the world are destroyed on game start. Any idea what could be behind this?

works just fine for me so no idea, however it is important that you update your game to 1.16.2 or yeah tha game will crash this mod is updated to that version. Other then that no ideaa what can cause it for you. Otherwise try unsubscribing and then resubscribe a couple minutes later that way steam cleans up left over code since steam does not remove files when updating and certain parts of the mod where changed the past couple weeks

Game seems to consistently crash for me when trying to load into the map after clicking on "play as any ruler in 867, or create your own!" when using this mod. Is this a known limitation of the mod where you can't create or choose a non-bookmark character? I've tested with only this mod installed so I don't think its a mod compatibility issue, anything I could be missing or is that just how the mod functions?

you mean create your own ruler ? this mod changes nothing in regards to ruler creator and im not experiencing this so no idea what can cause that on your end

i tryed, it seems comptabile with AGOT^^ . however, I experienced some crashes i played a courtier and gained a title, i don't know if tit's related to the mod, to AGOT or to another mod.^^

I've released an updated (test) version of my mod designed to work alongside this one. It adds a bunch of stuff for "truly landless" characters to do such as joining mercenaries, holy orders or adventurer's camps (as well as serving as a courtier as in the original mod)
