Are you saying that this workshop item crashes FaceRig? or that FaceRig crashes a game you play simultaneously? If it the first case, please wait for it to load (only the first time), it may take a few minutes because it is compiled at runtime. If it is the second case, please post your issue with detailed information on our steam forum.
Downloaded mods files can be found here: [SteamInstallFolder]\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects. The mods are loaded in FaceRig when launching it. You can find the workshop avatars in the avatar gallery.
The files can be found at this location: [FacerRigInstallFolder]\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects\avatarexemple1\. This avatar was an example for the Workshop upload/download pipeline, not for the custom avatar creation. The avatar (from this Workshop item) can only be opened in FaceRig because of its files format (proprietary to the game engine we use). For the avatar model sources you can take a look here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/274920/discussions/6/613936673395638423/ .
Please forgive me for being new-ish to Steam and let me know what I'm doing wrong! :)
