Yeah it does! My previous comment was in regards to a specific element, the mod as a whole still works. And the broken element is getting fixed next patch.

Yeah, we're planning to make them playable in the base game of hat in time, similar to any other hat in time mod! We wanna give them unique animations and have to give them dyeable materials tho.

Is there a chance to be able to play as the characters, like bosses, cause I really like them! Yui and her fish puns are my favorite, and Meta Hat Kid looks awesome!

The hub is a pretty demanding map, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it's just too much for the steam deck. Though afaik, there's an update in the works that should also include a few optimizations for the hub.

I would also try some of the steam deck/linux related guides on steam if you haven't already. If I recall, there's a limit to how much can be allocated on the RAM before the game crashes, which you can increase.

Is there any way to stop the mod from crashing after i beat the first level or go back to base?? or is this a permanent caveat of playing the mod on steam deck 😢😢😢

Fair enough lmao. So the whole thing about mustache girl helping beat some cosmic entity that looked like Hat Kid was a reference to the Goku Black arc of Dragon ball? I assumed it might’ve been (the riffing on dragon ball was obvious you guys didn’t even try to hide it lmao /pos) but I wasn’t sure.

I've been playing this mod a little bit and have played the previous two Independence mods, and have noticed references to stuff I haven't seen from Independence 1 or 2. Are those referencing some other mod?

There will be a new update coming sometime soon, in which we will try to address all of the outstanding bugs from the bug report thread. It will also add a new mode called "Level Rush" where you'll be able to play every level from back to back and get graded as a whole. Sorry that it's been taking so long! We got lots of stuff going on.

as much as i didnt get to experience the hub due to my computer dying when it tried to load, the tutorial is already really promising, if i get a new pc or like if the hub is slightly more optimized to suit lower end computers, i will come back to this, good job elsie and co. very cool

BEST AHiTmod i have ever played great job.

just finished the story if you haven't a really recommend playing this. i did encounter a few soft locks which did sour the experience but i don't hold that against the dev's, you can't account for every bug. please add a player kill button in the menu next update so if someone dose get soft locked they can die and go back to the previous check point instead of restarting the whole level. other than that minor issue its a definite 10/10

Overall, I had a pretty good experience with this, even if there are moments that definitely were annoying. The level of quality is absolutely stunning, and it's amazing what can be done within the limits of this funny hat game. A series that started out as a silly little shitpost has evolved into a full-on game rivaling the actual game it's a mod for.

8/10, definitely worth playing. Can't wait to hear about a fourth installment like 2-3 years from now.

I've been playing A Hat in Time mods since 2019 and this is the best one I've played yet. The modding team made this as a full game with a campaign, mini games, collectables and replayable post game content. And you guys somehow managed to make complex character action gameplay work in a 3D platformer if that hasn't been done before in gaming. A mod like this can kickstart a potential new indie game with similar design and gameplay. Voice acting can be better, but at least the story was entertaining especially with the new characters (Meta Hat Kid my beloved.)

I am interested in what you guys are going to do next after this ambitious achievement. :)

Coming from someone who hasn't been playing this game for nearly a year I must say I'm impressed with how the community has been keeping the game active with these mods. Anyways, I only just finished O0A1 and I have to say I'm already LOVING this!! As a matter of fact I actually recorded my gameplay of this, unfortunately I can't upload them to YouTube since I don't have immediate features and I've pretty much used almost every phone number I know.

btw, i wanna use the hat kid profile pic, but idk where to find the hq version of it in the game files, so i just ss from my gameplay, zoomed in to it and now it's my discord user profile.

finished the mod an hour ago and wow. just wow. i am FLOORED. i could ramble about how much i absolutely loved this whole thing, about how cheesy and silly (in a really good way, no offense) the galactic superhero boss fights were while still being genuinely insanely awesome (THOSE DBZ-LIKE QUICK TIME EVENT SEQUENCES, OH MY GOD??), about how each boss genuinely felt difficult yet fun to fight, about how every boss forced me to genuinely learn its patterns and pay attention, about how well written it was, about how good the voice acting was, about how you managed to make a DMC-like mod FOR A HAT IN TIME????????? oops, i ended up rambling anyways, but the point is that i was smiling all the way through this mod; i'm not one to pick favorites, but if i was this would be my favorite AHiT Mod ever. sorry for writing a 5 page essay in the comments but this mod absolutely blew me away, everyone who worked on it did an absolutely phenomenal job on it, so i really wanted to say something nice!
