Hi, I have a question about obfusckate. I don't want to ruin my save that's why I'm asking first.

As I understood, the only issue would be that I would be able to see the details of why my opinion it's what it is?? Like as long as I just don't read it everything is fine?
ThatGuy 2 Jul @ 8:37pm
this seems to make schemes towards the other person (like convert to witch) show inverse difficulty, like it will say very hard if it is a very high success rate. and very easy if it is actually very low success rate.
Mephistopheles 4 Jun @ 6:11am
is this mod compatible with In My Humble Opinion?
Neil 1 Jun @ 1:51pm
This is amazing for being able to see an NPC's opinion of other NPC's.
Funny Purple Suit Man 30 May @ 5:42am
Is this compatible with Better Barbershop?
Win  [author] 28 Apr @ 7:43pm
On first inspection, it looks like this is compatible with the new update. I'll do my best to find time to get around to fixing the court position issue.
TTCM 17 Apr @ 4:35am
Is there a specific load order for this with AGOT? it doesn't matter where i place it in the order, the dragon bonds of characters disappear from the UI.
djvandebrake 3 Apr @ 1:33am
Having the same issue @2099170697 is having - narrowed it down to this mod. Really a shame.
Savitar 2 Apr @ 5:04am
Can you possible make the "your opinion" part for court positions smaller? If certain requirements are met the court position actions get pushed out of the border as of now :)
Win  [author] 30 Mar @ 10:26am
Updated for 1.15. Thanks! I had forgotten how CK3 modding gets weird if you fail to totally remove the workshop version first.
T 29 Mar @ 7:35am
To be needlessly more specific (lol),
in interaction_menu_window.gui:
I overwrote your entire file with the new 1.15 vanilla file, then inserted right after line 89 (hbox = {) your "button_track_opinion = {...}" and "button_untrack_opinion = {...}" blocks

in player_opinion_tooltip.gui:
I inserted the line
fonttintcolor = "[TooltipInfo.GetTintColor]"
right before the closing bracket of each text_single and text_multi block, such that the following line numbers were that line: 32, 56, 75, 86, 105, 145, 169, 188, 199, 218

@T Thank you! I gave a shot at trying to fix this last weekend, but wasn't able to get it done in a quick hour. As soon as I get a breather I'll take another crack at it with the below.

@T Can you upload your edited mod anywhere?

*: I only made changes to the following two files: interaction_menu_window.gui & player_opinion_tooltip.gui

Specifically:

-player_opinion_tooltip.gui: I added the following line in all the text_single/text_multi blocks:
fonttintcolor = "[TooltipInfo.GetTintColor]"

-interaction_menu_window.gui: I used the new vanilla 1.15 file as the base, and inserted your code blocks for button_track_opinion & button_untrack_opinion in the same place as they were in previously.

**: I did all this on the 20th, so I'm looking back at it, saying "why did I do this change?" for the player_opinion_tooltip.gui changes. I'm not sure they're needed or even where I got that snippet from lol.... but hey, it's currently working!!

Game is unplayable without this mod, and that's a sign of an essential mod!

Totally understandable that you're not able to update it immediately, game stuff should come second!

I was able to run diff on the five files* in the /gui/ folder (versus the new vanilla files**), and copying over the bits of Paradox's new code while maintaining your unique bits was rather straight forward; I now have what seems to be a working version, as I no longer crash with this enabled!

tl;dr: when you do find the time to update this, it seems you won't need to do a total rewrite or anything!
2099170697 16 Mar @ 1:56am
Whenever I click on the "Show More" option of another character, the game crashes. Eventually, I found out that it was caused by this mod. It seems that it doesn't match with the new version.
SalahadDin 15 Mar @ 8:47pm
I love this mod so much, please update, thanks
Win  [author] 14 Mar @ 4:52pm
I've since started a crazy busy full time job, so I might not be able to update this immediately. But believe me, top of the to-do list!
Das Weibchen 13 Mar @ 3:30pm
Pls update :)
WitherChlorine 13 Mar @ 9:31am
have problems in 1.15,update pls
Win  [author] 9 Feb @ 10:00am
@noelrobbie I made this because I couldn't play without IMHO, and there was a long span where it wasn't updated. I think this one is a little more lightweight, and it handles tracking third person opinions differently (i.e., when tracked, it replaces the player opinion with the tracked character's opinion entirely, which I find more handy for regencies and other scenarios in which you'd really care about some tracked character's opinion of others).
noelrobbie 8 Feb @ 12:37pm
such a great mod, it really improves immersion and somehow seems to work better in my save than IMHO. Can you state what the exact differences between IMHO and this mod are?
林枫红Humphrey 1 Feb @ 9:37pm
In the ui of "the lord" (you can see that if you click a vassal and find his lord) I could see my opinion to both the lord and the vassal which is available in another way. This is unnecessary and could be replaced by what I mentioned before, just like what the origin game does.
林枫红Humphrey 1 Feb @ 9:33pm
Hey sir I found that I cannot see the opinion of the lord to his/her vassal. So I hope updating could come soon.
Erfar 30 Dec, 2024 @ 8:15am
please change compitability to 1.14.2 or 1.14.*
Win  [author] 29 Dec, 2024 @ 4:48pm
By way of update, I figured out the issue: it's the fact that CK3 doesn't calculate what the player's vassal stance is, which creates opinion modifiers on all of the things you identified. The game only calculates this for the player's vassals. No luck so far on forcing it to calculate that for the player themselves.
Win  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 4:20am
@Polo This is exceptionally helpful, thanks! I'll have to investigate after the holiday travels. My guess is that this bug originates from the devs, since my mod doesn't touch any of the calculations, but I'll see what I can do to fix it.
Polo 24 Dec, 2024 @ 8:48pm
I've noticed a few inconsistencies as a vassal when I use debug mode to switch character to my liege and see what their opinion of me is.

As a vassal, a few things are not showing when I check my liege's opinion:
- Liege's legitimacy
- Liege's crown authority
- Liege's stress trait (profligate in this case)
- Liege's court grandeur

Also, the effect from the "domestic affairs" councillor task is showing the maximum value even though my liege hasn't been running the task long enough to get the maximum value.

Thanks for the mod!

What is the conflict with scrolling interaction mods? I typically load those (e.g., scrollable interactions, scrollable legacies, scollable lifestyles) after Character UI Overhaul and they work perfectly.
min985 27 Oct, 2024 @ 4:00pm
Thanks for making a great mod. I hope this mod becomes compatible with Scrollable Interactions.

Potential compatibility with the Obfuscate mod?
Win  [author] 26 Oct, 2024 @ 2:09pm
@Vengeance 1791 Just updated it to move the button to the character interaction menu--it seems compatible now with both extended outliner and the big character UI mods. This seems like a good permanent home for the button, and I don't intend to change too much else about this mod going forward unless there's a dire compatibility issue.
Vengeance 1791 26 Oct, 2024 @ 11:59am
@Win you might pick a fight with the even more prevalent Character UI crowd. Personally, I favor this mod over any UI mod that might get in the way - it provides so much in regards to RP I think I can forgo them if there's no solution
Win  [author] 26 Oct, 2024 @ 8:05am
@Vengeance 1791 Damn, thanks for letting me know. In that case, I might re-patch it in the coming days to no longer touch the outliner and instead put the opinion button elsewhere (maybe somewhere on the character screen).
Vengeance 1791 26 Oct, 2024 @ 12:58am
lovin the new features! little sad it messes with other outliner UI mods, any chance to get some compatibility with extended outliner?
Win  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 2:57pm
I just re-added that feature from IMHO which lets you track a pinned character's opinion of others. It works a little differently here: to track another character's opinion, you need to pin them to your outliner first, and when you then click the button that tracks a pinned character's opinion, it replaces all instances which would otherwise show your own character's opinion. To me, this is more useful than IMHO's feature, because now you can look at lists of characters and, at a glance, know what the tracked character's opinion of all of them is.

In other news, all the listed compatibility mods are no longer supported, and this mod should be compatible with AGOT and Better UI Scaling without any additional submods.

Please comment here if there are any issues which are not marked above as known!
Win  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 7:02am
@von_das I've been looking into it, since it'd be really nice to know what your regent or spouse thinks about someone. I'll do my best to come up with a solution in the coming few days but just know that it might be outside my very limited abilities for now.
von_das 23 Oct, 2024 @ 1:50pm
Thanks a lot for this! I really like the IMHO mod, but it screws up the interface now, so this is a godsend.

"This lacks the feature of IMHO which lets you see pinned characters' opinions of others."

Any chance of adding this at some point, by the way?
Bdan720 16 Oct, 2024 @ 3:28am
It's these little additions that make an interesting RP impact. Thank you.
pablomarti354 11 Oct, 2024 @ 1:37am
@Win The compatch with Better UI Scaling now works like a charm! Thank you so much
pablomarti354 10 Oct, 2024 @ 11:56am
Wonderful! I’ll try as soon as possible and give feedback
Win  [author] 10 Oct, 2024 @ 8:57am
@pablomarti354 Just posted a Better UI Scaling compatibility mod, check to see if it works for you, and be sure to use the listed load order. Maybe down the line I'll try to handle compatibility through just one mod and a gamerule to toggle between them.
FenFenScreeScree 10 Oct, 2024 @ 8:48am
at long last, my opinions can be decided for me by a game uwu
pablomarti354 10 Oct, 2024 @ 6:05am
Hi! any progress so far? thanks
pablomarti354 8 Oct, 2024 @ 4:15am
@Win Yes, I just double checked, and so far it seems that the player's character personality is the only thing not showing with Better UI Scaling. I would be very very glad if you could fix it. Thank you so much!
Win  [author] 7 Oct, 2024 @ 12:04pm
@pablomarti354 Thanks for letting me know. Is the player's AI personality the only thing that's breaking with that mod? That seems to be the only issue from what I can tell and I can quickly get out a fix on that.
pablomarti354 7 Oct, 2024 @ 9:26am
Thank you for this! It's a must for RP. Would you consider making it compatible with Better UI Scaling mod? They currently don't work together. Thanks!
