thanks!
jokes aside, great sound mod.
I did the test with your activation and no change.
my sound settings;
sampling rate 44KHz
Buffers 64
it's probably the engine, I already have FPS problems with my 7900xtx and 5800x3d, I love the game but the engine is giving me a hard time
maybe check your audio settings ingame?
editor?
dynamic campaign?
sp campaign?
multiplayer?
mod loader should now find this mod, changed the mod.info file.
added m4 and m4a2 sherman variants engine sounds.
m4a3 uses m4 sounds as a place holder.
good catch, you are right.
will be changed later today
I have same issue here. It's because there's a format problem of the contents of the "mod.info" file. Could you correct that, thanks! @TrippleSix
I think the right format is like this below (lowercase label):
{mod
{name "Engine and Tracks Sound Mod V2"}
{desc "Changes Sounds of some of the Tanks"}
{minGameVersion "any"}
{maxGameVersion "any"}
}
yea i am still thinking about it to change it in the future. i just want to get the US stuff done first, which is kinda a pain in the a**
check out the update log lol
showcase video of updated german engines is up as well, enjoy
next plan: US tanks
(russia is gonna be hard nut, cuz every footage is captured with a potato phone and its even harder to find any recordings, right now they are as close as it can get i believe, if i cant find good enough sounds for them, im just gonna overhaul only GER and US)
thats all up to you.
if you think so, imo they sound good, but they needed a little change, so i did a mod for that.
go to the drive where GoH is installed and then follow this path:
(your drive where GoH is installed)X:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\400750(not sure, if its the same number for you, or if theres even more folders. for me there is only one.)
when opening this folder there is a bunch of other folders like "3341685402" or so. click through them, until you reach this mod (makes it easier to sort them after "Date", last thing you subbed to should be on top.
then open up this path:
resource/sound/vehicle.pak(open .pak with winrar)/vehicle: now you should see 2 folders called "engine" and "tracks".
open them and delete every folder except the "M3_Halftrack" and "sdkfz251" folders.
you now only have the halftracks as a sound mod.
beware that, whenever i update it, you have to do the process again.
might do it separate in the future, but for now im still focused on updating this mod.
there you go, check out the video.
your halftracks should be updated by now ;)
there are files for the exhaust, which is the rev-up before going into "full" engine state
i might take a look into that into the future.
still waiting for ppl to say something like: X tank is too quite/too loud or sounding weird ect, so i can update those if needed.
