I have no idea
Ġedryht of Wōden 14 Jun @ 2:05am
Is this compatible with The Fallen Eagle?
Shattered Tian 10 Jun @ 7:09pm
Just giving you a heads up. This mod breaks some interactions in AGOT, particularly the Targaryen Exiles interaction.
Solack (Zacle) 7 Jun @ 2:39pm
yeah can confirm as well. This mod does wonders for ensuring the AI maintain their Eco with Adventurerers around
Dere 1 Jun @ 6:25pm
Yeah I just went into the base vanilla game to test that theory, and no. I still bankrupted the AI utterly after a job, so this mod is far from obsolete.
Nye  [author] 20 May @ 11:22am
I'll believe it when I see it
FunGaming44 20 May @ 7:37am
looks like this is no longer needed since they added code into the game so ai and player will not go bankrupt anymore because of these situations

after posted the history, thanks again for giving me opportunity to work for lord or king I like to serve instead broke ass employer. in wars, he give me golds by loots rights, criminal contracts then he hides some gold for... dark work. now I can good works for lord to help his people, catching bad guys and look good doing it. Cheers

plus in wars, it not often known but after battles, christian armies do loot their defeated enemies and both conscripted peasants and nobles in knights loot their enemy for either coin, equipments to sell or weapons blacksmith can buy, dare say half of medieval armies only payment to their army as historian (but not university employed) don't believe me, check out Holy roman empire, emperor barely pay their soldiers

What about compatibility? Is it compatible with anything - aside from probably not working with landless mods?
Nye  [author] 15 Mar @ 10:22am
I haven't tested it yet. Feel free to let me know
IratePirate 15 Mar @ 9:56am
Does this still work?
Chensar 20 Jan @ 9:43am
Thanks yes it has been fixed. It definitely was this mod
Nye  [author] 20 Jan @ 8:16am
Updated and fixed. When you request gold from a patron, they now pay the correct amount, and the correct amount is displayed.
Nye  [author] 19 Jan @ 12:58pm
Yes banditry does not deduct from their gold. I don't want to put the time into figuring out which part of the code would allow that to happen.
Insane_Laughter 19 Jan @ 12:15pm
Does this mod also affect banditry? Will bandit contracts not steal money from the contract's target?
Nye  [author] 19 Jan @ 11:25am
@Chensar I will test and fix this tomorrow, have you confirmed that it's not a mod conflict and is definitely this one?
Chensar 19 Jan @ 9:36am
When using the mod. If I request gold from a patron it won't do anything. The request goes through but I won't get any gold.
Nye  [author] 17 Jan @ 1:53am
Good spot, will update later
Dimquinox 17 Jan @ 12:11am
when making a request for gold, the interface shows double gold amount due to:

send_interface_toast = {
type = event_toast_effect_good
title = contact_list_request_interaction.request_gold_tt
left_icon = scope:actor
right_icon = scope:recipient
scope:actor = {
show_as_tooltip = {
add_gold = scope:requested_gold_value
}
}
scope:actor = {
add_gold = scope:requested_gold_value
}
scope:recipient = {
#pay_short_term_gold = {
# target = scope:actor
# gold = scope:requested_gold_value
#}
add_opinion = {
modifier = laamp_used_contact_opinion
target = scope:actor
opinion = -40
}
}
}

there are double add_gold

There may be a conflict with another mod. I haven't played ck3 in months but there is nothing in this mod that would make that happen.

It would be a good idea to use this mod with nothing else to confirm.
Excuse me Sir? 12 Jan @ 1:18pm
Using this mod, I will receive gold in two stacks.
TheLoneWanderer 12 Dec, 2024 @ 11:24am
@Nye - CROW is posting messages for many mods with the same useless statement "Update pls" message without any idea if an update is needed or not
CROW 28 Nov, 2024 @ 12:11pm
Tx
Nye  [author] 28 Nov, 2024 @ 10:13am
Have you confirmed it doesn't work because I'd imagine it does
CROW 28 Nov, 2024 @ 7:00am
Update pls
Nye  [author] 16 Oct, 2024 @ 8:02am
@Lyra I've had a look and there's nothing obvious that I could quickly change to make it work. I don't have enough time currently to study what exactly needs to be changed
Lyra_Heartstrings 16 Oct, 2024 @ 7:37am
How it goes with a plan part?
Really interested with toying with my friend empire by doing some criminal contracts, but really don't want allow AI adventurers bankrupt everything again...
Scullex 11 Oct, 2024 @ 3:39am
i didn't even know this could be a issue so its good to run into this mod
TurtleShroom 7 Oct, 2024 @ 5:25pm
What does this Mod overwrite?
Nye  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 6:21am
@Cairsiden I agree with your sentiments, I really like the DLC in general, but the way they have handled resource management is sloppy. That's a bit outside the scope I want to deal with, but I'm very much hoping that Paradox at some point come up with something different.
Cairsiden 6 Oct, 2024 @ 3:23am
I'm not asking that YOU do this, but personally my take on this debacle is that they shoulda made it so each ruler has an additional funds, let's call it "Adventurer Points" for instance. Doing certain things or building certain buildings or whatnot could get you more of those points and allow you to hire adventurers to do all the stuffs that they do, the points would automatically convert to gold for paying the adventurer and therefore the liege isn't forced to live off cat food.
Nye  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 3:20am
@Cairsiden They still have to pay for mercenaries
Cairsiden 6 Oct, 2024 @ 3:17am
Also if you changed it (not sure if you did) you might wanna make sure they're still getting charged for their mercenaries. Otherwise wars are going to get a little weird.
SPUDSOFTHEAPOCALYPSE 6 Oct, 2024 @ 2:00am
Cheers, man. Appreciate it.
Nye  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 1:27am
@SPUDSOFTHEAPOCALYPSE - Actually a great point, I'll see what I can do.
SPUDSOFTHEAPOCALYPSE 6 Oct, 2024 @ 1:18am
Can you make it so some criminal contracts (scams, heists and robberies, not murders or abductions) actually take the money? Part of the intention with those is that you're seriously fucking up the country.
Nye  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 12:35am
@Cairsiden The payout values weren't changed, only the method of payment to make it 'magic gold'. CK3 seems to do weird things with multipliers for contracts. For war contracts for example, they seem to be multiplied by how much you've contributed to it, so sometimes it ends in ridiculous situations. For example I agreed to a contract with Alfred to help him defend England from the Norse, I thought I was going to get a small amount, ended up with 1800+ gold, leaving him with like -1600. Paradox just did weird shit with this DLC and either forgot to, or chose not to put caps on how much the AI can provide vs their actual gold amount.
Cairsiden 6 Oct, 2024 @ 12:01am
So a quick question...you didn't change any of the values being paid to the adventurer correct? I seem to be getting paid double for each contract, but I downloaded this at the same time as the adventurer nerf mod, so it might be that one. Or it might be because i'm suddenly in japan for the first time since the MB+ mod updated. I hear they do stuff different over there vis a vis vending machines and such. (yes, i'm trying to troubleshoot multiple mods at a time, brilliant no?)
Whatever 5 Oct, 2024 @ 6:02am
ummm ackshully bankrupting the realm is based
Nye  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 11:04pm
@TheLoneWanderer I actually quite like landless gameplay but I think paradox rushed it out. It just seems like they wanted it in but didn't know the best way to go about it so we have this trainwreck balancing instead 😂
Nye  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 10:58pm
@WarTorn87 it should be fine with saved games
Wolf 4 Oct, 2024 @ 7:38pm
nice
WarTorn87 4 Oct, 2024 @ 6:08pm
Does this work mid save, or required to start a new save?
WarTorn87 4 Oct, 2024 @ 5:40pm
Thank you! Been hoping for this.
TheLoneWanderer 4 Oct, 2024 @ 4:27pm
It's almost like you gave more thought to this than Paradox did...
