Welcome to Team Fortress 2. After nine years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait. To listen to a commentary node, put your crosshair over the floating commentary symbol and press your primary fire. To stop a commentary node, put your crosshair over the rotating node and press your primary fire again. Some commentary nodes may take control of the game in order to show something to you. In these cases, simply press your primary fire again to stop the commentary. In addition, your secondary fire will cycle you through all the commentary nodes in the level. found the issue on the missing particle, a legacy addon was for whatever reason overwriting the crit.pcf file (the addon had nothing to do with tf2 so idk why it was overwriting it)

as for the particle systems being bugged, that's because the mod used to assume you had tf2 installed, although i have just updated the mod to not require tf2

the thing is, the mod uses tf2's critical hit particle, not a font. it's definitely possible to allow modification to use custom fonts/particles, but it would take some work.

Small problem, just a visual bug, the crit text doesnt appear when i crit

npcs already can random crit (however the "critical hit" sign isn't visible right now). you can test it by letting yourself get hit by an npc with tf_crit_mode_all on 2

thanks for reporting, it will be fixed (most likely due to a mod that does not set the attacker/inflictor of damage)
