I Think it is technically possible, predicted 2 ways around to realise it, at this point.
But It will not be implemented such function, due to my laziness. sorry for that.
And everyone's are free to: modify, make a patch, branch, pack into the modpack, redistribute againt the all of my stuff made on Kenshi without any restriction, in the scope of copyright of Lo-Fi Games.
Yes. Tell me if you had anything problems.
Please make more.
Currently, There is no plans such as increasing loot drop can be salvaged from PackWalkers, because of these things can be seen easily on The Great Desert, along with Spiders and Skimmers. Additionally, these things are relatively weak compared to another animals, so I determined the amount of loot is set to low.
If you want more gears, I would recommend hunt these things more.
--
Perhaps If you mean adding more Backpacks to PackWalkers, Unfortunately there is no any plans too.
--
Sorry for inconvenience.
There is nothing for now. Sorry!
More creatures in the game are always welcome.
Actually, this issue is being confirmed by me through the game-play. and thinks so.
PackWalkers are way too fast even they are juvenile. and eventually knocks your character down easily depends on specific circumstance.
The amount of spawn number and rate will be reduced. with most certainty.

Indeed.

> I think perhaps having a version that only includes being able to purchase them might be a better balance.
For example, adding the animals on the caravans of Free Traders or Nomads. It will be good idea.
---
Thank you for feedback. and I will make it optimise as soon as possible.
I wasn't aware that there would be so many of these enemies in the wild, and they seem to have overrun Heng.
I think perhaps having a version that only includes being able to purchase them might be a better balance.

Sometimes, it will be required very slightly of knowledge about OpenGL and DirectX. (how it behaves and looks in-game etc.)
This Steam Tutorial is written as Japanese, but this information may helps you:

Installing addons on Blender or GIMP? If you tried and couldn't ,ask me at here.

Kenshi modding is comprehensively simple but needs getting some several direction of knowledge step by step. I think.
https://github.com/Lucius64/kenshi_io_blender?tab=readme-ov-file
Thanks to Lucius64 (Presumably a modder on Kenshi called "Lucius"), you can use it the later version of Blender with these tools. (I'm not tested yet, so I'll try.)

This tutorial video is slightly obsolete. but comprehensive procedure is mostly same.

You can download Blender via Steam itself but,
I recommend to use install separately on your local drive. here is why, but some of them may not be completely correct:
・Making 3d models for Kenshi requires a plugin/addon for Blender called "kenshi_io_tools"
・Blender installed by Steam is automatically updated, but the plugin/addon will be no longer supported.
・"kenshi_io_tools" was officially supported until approximately "Blender v2.79".
・After supported, it is maintained by third-party or Kenshi communities.
So I'm using Blender v2.83.1 but you can use later version for making mods as the plugins as exists on the internet.
There is no special tools for making mods on Kenshi modding.
Just run 'forgotten construction set.exe' inside the directory where you Kenshi installed.
(It Depends on your environment, For Example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\forgotten construction set.exe"
)
WHAT THE...
It will be predicted they are copying and bundling another stuffs, with suspected of contain stuffs not only made by me but everything.
Anyway, thanks for reporting.
