@Rekkaba
edit: you can also let water overflow into an collecting area with another negative source to get rid of too much water in drought coming down. Just in case you plan to let an ocean fall into a hole

Glad to hear that, especially the lore part XD

I am also happy to find a Rekkaba-map on new tabs

If you plan to build an Island in a hole next to waterfalls, the hole will fill a bit in drought as -sources stop. If the Island has a space or 2 height to counter, not a problem
for hidden secrets under the falls, you notice when you have a cave structure underneath so it should be covered by buildings or the river itself. built under a waterfall myself.
So -YES great Idea, good luck

I like the layer tool, and this map is a main offender.

Also, your descriptions are always so creative and fun to read with their lore. Nice job!

I currently have an idea where you start surrounded by waterfalls near the bottom of the map (negative source to make sure you don't get drowned), I plan on hiding some hidden chambers and trying mainly to encourage vertical building on the map with nice aesthetics along the way. Just trying to get the right mix of above ground and below ground worked out. I've just noticed that people seem to hate it when you force them to use the layer tool, so I'm trying to not over use that. Trying to make the right marriage of a gimmick and normal gameplay as I can. It's why I like your maps a lot though is because you go for this marriage too so that you can get a variation from the game's standard maps.

Also, just putting this out there, but I've noticed the most important thing to get a map pushed up a list to being viewed is by having people give a thumbs up on it, so if you all like a map, be sure to thumbs up it cause steam workshop will prioritize that map then.

Thanks Rekkaba, to me droughts and badtides are river mechanics.
If you want to make something different, its nice if they work, but you should not restrict yourself with them.
but thats just my opinion

The bases are far appart, but you can survive with the green space from your 2 next bases.
Or relocate.

In your map, you can choose how you use a section, and it would be nice here too
But I wanted more specialiced bases for my theme, even if it has drawbacks
and a in-base badwater river is cool

I added some just for fun "quests" in the description.
Left vague for player interpretation
btw any Idea what your next map is about yet?

Nice idea with the airlocks. I had thought about trying that myself, I just like to keep droughts and badtides active for my maps too though. but yeah, this is the true first full underwater map.
