We were (by this I mean a couple of other people on a Discord server, Diamond included) thinking of not just making factions based on specific countries, Axis gear would be on BOTH sides. So far just a helmet model done.
It wouldn't be
Raven = Germany
and
Eagle = US
That would be boring, although we haven't really decided.

but honestly i think if you were to do it i would focus them around china and japan, while eagle would be UK and america, Raven Germans and italian inspired, just so you start with three major faction. and yeah kestrel make sense being based on those two since japan would in reality only be considered on par with china if not slightly ahead at the start of the conflict and would not be considered a threat until late 1941/ early 1942 when it did a series of surprise invasions/ attacks against allied and US territories

Chinese NRA is a perfect example of such a faction with hodgepoged units with mix of axis and allied/ domestic designed gear thrown in

so belgians and their FN weapons, turkish repourpose of the lee enfields they captured from the first world war and so on, you theoretically can do a lot with the premiace

WW2 third world is like non aligned powers of eruope like belgians, danish, and so on who were forced to fight by axis aggression or warsaw aggression and or allied intervention depending on the region

It's a mix of both the US and West Germany, but I do like the sound of paratroopers. Although it sounds far too US leaning rather than incorporating both, if you could do an idea that combines the both it would be neat

It would be cool if you do a US cold war styled paratrooper soldier with parachutist band or tape camouflage

BUT, that's considering the possibility of other nations, which might make more interesting skins.
In the end, it's up to Diamond. It's a really silly idea in my mind though

I don't think Kestrel would make for an interesting enough skin for "V+ WW2"
I don't want to BEGIN to think about what that would look like, given that Kestrel is made up of several third world countries, they won't have much of a military to begin with. Either just partisans or they'd be similar to another faction in gear given how it worked in real life.

I see one of those ideas working, the two others look too much like US troops instead of the US/German inspiration.
The Gulf War one could work, just with tropentarn for the helmet or fleck for the uniform.

Plain green uniform with flecktarn vest and helmet (basically late 80s/early90s Bundeswehr)
just one in plain M81 woodland all around
One in full woodland except the chocolate chip desert camo for helmet (basically Gulf war US)
