The idea is very good, but the sounds are excessive. It sounds like someone is invading Iraq, not having a firefight in a spaceship's corridor.

this mod rocks in my opinion as the whole boarding of ships without it is just lame i mean come on a game that enables you to take over ships has to have a good boarding cutsene and sounds the stock game just suxed in that aspect

I found that this mod is incompatible with the mod "Marine Rebalance". It only plays a short sound of a few gun shots and after the first message from the marine commander there are no more shots.

how hard would it be to make a mod that allows take over stations? i understand the idea of destrying the station mod, i was speaking to a new element of game play something akin to what you have for ships. were marines would be involved. you could start by bribing a frendly blackmarketer, this was enemy stations could temporarilly turn neutral for a few minutes this allows you to land on it and then hack it's ownership id...then you would leave and wait for the station to turn back to enemy, biorad it with reduced secuirty via hacking drone, then use the marines to finalize it...it would be then your station, minus the trade ships npcs. all the post clean up of any in route trade vessels being cleared the trade. any owned ships would become destryed.

Projectile guns seem more reasonable to use tbh, lasers will only end up burning holes in the ship from the inside, whereas with projectile interior ship structuring might be tough enough to withstand bullets hitting them.

I think there should be some editing done to the sound to sound a bit scratchy like it comes from the radio or something

And I would ask...what does a laser sound like? Hehehe. They do not really make a sound. Pew Pew sounds could be good...but depends on if they field mass weapons or energy weapons...or both.

An episdoe of Babylon 5 has some boarding action combat. Not sure if you could glean anything out of it. I think it was the episode entitled "war without end".

I want to add this mod as I love the cutscene but as others have mentioned, any chance for a more sci-fi sound track? Detracts a little from an awesome idea when I am thinking of Black Hawk Down instead of Shock Troopers raiding the halls of a space warship.

Also, anyone not in the know this guy makes awesome mods (i.e. Capital Ship Bridges). How that is not the top d/l'd mod is beyond my understanding.

My .02, use tracks from Aliens and hell get the chick saying "Let's Rock" when doing good. If you fail have Hudson say "Game over man! It's game over!"

That cutscene.... marvelous,m fighing sound is a bit too loud to me nd a bit anti-climatic mostly due to the sampling difference. But otherwise it is a very nice proof of concept you have here :)
