Why is it 112 km in this mod?
So i did not yet "made the jump" to real moving space? Any idea at which distance from earth that might be "high enough" ? I barely made the 100km lift with my second vessel had to drop some heavy cargo lol.
Also can you be so kind to add a GPS list for the other planets on that world so we get an idea of how many jump drives we have to grind to visit them all ??
OK I settled a pretty cluster of asteroids about 15km from I first got in 0g from Earth. But I am puzzled because the gps from my earth launch station (125 km down below) do not move. I am at 4x global timescale, which was working fine on earth (6h > 1day).
Are my asteroids geostationary?
Everything worked as expected on Earth. Now I am reching space and after a game crash first intent (due to subgrids which I deleted) I got flawlessly (did not even noticed when the zone change "teleport" happened) ...I started to see gravity well asteroids around 40km high. BUT 0g is at 112 km above my Ice lake launch pad?? 275 km form Earth center!!
I am OK with that past the surprise. Now I'll try to settle a nearby asteroid to see earth and moon moving. I'll keep you posted.
Amazing work ! I stay tuned
Travle trought space ant the asteroids wil spawn. They you can harvest.
Maby important note: I changes the speed of the time. Maby this can be an reason.
I spawned somwhere in the space, where i was round about 100.000 KM far away and must fly with an spawned ship with the mod "speed of light" to the earth...i must fly in creative first to can sart the SUrvival on the earth.
After save tha game, get the speed of light mod on the savegame, and load the game...i was INSIDE of JUPITER...even with creative mode AND speed of light mod, I CANT ESCAPE THE JUPITER...i had to got into spectator mode and spawn my charakter far away, i can continiue my "travel"...
I flyed c.a. 30 minutes to the earth...and im stil flying (80.000 KM with 10.000 meter/sek...
The day length you set in the normal settings does not matter. Just make sure Enable Sun Rotation is true and it should work.
With a global timescale of 1.00x, the earth moves at 3 m/s in orbit around the sun, which corresponds to a revolution of about 365 days. If you now increase the global timescale to 12.00x, the orbital speed also increases to 35.8 m/s, which corresponds to a revolution of around 30 days. This is still very slow and not directly visible.
However, it should be mentioned that the global timescale only adjusts the orbital velocity and not the planetary rotation. A day on Earth therefore still lasts 24 hours. This value must be adjusted manually. To do this, simply divide the rotation speed by 12 under Planet Info, so that an Earth rotation then only has two hours and is equivalent to a 30-day year. This is a simple way of dealing with all the planets in the system.
you can make a separate world and upload it with those planets if you wish, just letting you know
