The EarthLike is much larger than normal in this world.
Accy 13 Jul @ 3:47am
I have now made the same discovery as Panamarc. According to the SE Wiki, the Kármán line of the Earthlike Planet is at 42,860 m.
Why is it 112 km in this mod?
Panamarc 12 Jul @ 10:23am
So if I understand well, I travelled 125 km up from the surface and am still in SURFACE zone? Fine by me as this "geostationary" orbit fits me well (uranium + platinium in this cluster it wil be a great shipyard).

So i did not yet "made the jump" to real moving space? Any idea at which distance from earth that might be "high enough" ? I barely made the 100km lift with my second vessel had to drop some heavy cargo lol.

Also can you be so kind to add a GPS list for the other planets on that world so we get an idea of how many jump drives we have to grind to visit them all ??
Echthros  [author] 11 Jul @ 2:30pm
Any asteroids within the planet's SURFACE zone will be geostationary. If you get high enough to enter the ORBIT zone, you should see the planet and any GPSs on the surface moving below you.
Panamarc 11 Jul @ 11:38am
(Feedback contd)
OK I settled a pretty cluster of asteroids about 15km from I first got in 0g from Earth. But I am puzzled because the gps from my earth launch station (125 km down below) do not move. I am at 4x global timescale, which was working fine on earth (6h > 1day).

Are my asteroids geostationary?
Panamarc 10 Jul @ 8:19am
Hello. Feedback here. I started a survival game with this system without any change, except 4x for Global Timescale.

Everything worked as expected on Earth. Now I am reching space and after a game crash first intent (due to subgrids which I deleted) I got flawlessly (did not even noticed when the zone change "teleport" happened) ...I started to see gravity well asteroids around 40km high. BUT 0g is at 112 km above my Ice lake launch pad?? 275 km form Earth center!!

I am OK with that past the surprise. Now I'll try to settle a nearby asteroid to see earth and moon moving. I'll keep you posted.

Amazing work ! I stay tuned

@WHITE
Travle trought space ant the asteroids wil spawn. They you can harvest.
MaskeradeDarkstar 28 Jun @ 12:28pm
Tried to travel from my Moon Spawn Base to earth...i was teleported/or the plantest from me, away from them/me. What the hell happend.

Maby important note: I changes the speed of the time. Maby this can be an reason.

@Ephysona: start scenario, load world, save and exit to main menu, Main Menu>load game>Edit Settings;
Ephysona 3 Jun @ 10:21pm
Is there a way to swap to survival mode in this? I want to play this sort of scenario in survival.
Gydan 22 May @ 2:24pm
Many players come from the default system of the game, the planets are static and you just have to follow the GPS to get to them. With the Solar System mod the planets rotate around the sun and this changes the basic rules of the game. Before reaching a planet you have to calculate its rotation based on: rotation speed of the planet, and our cruising speed. In this way to reach a planet you no longer have to follow its GPS but point in the clockwise direction of its cycle, example: Let's imagine that we have to reach Mars from Earth, now, Mars is at 3 o'clock and to reach it (calculating rotation speed, plus, our cruising speed) we will point towards 7 o'clock (as NASA does when it sends probes) This makes the game more realistic, but if doing these calculations becomes boring just use some mod to increase the speed.
WHITE 10 May @ 8:28am
Bro there are no asteroids
Birdan 8 May @ 2:51pm
I notice this mod uses mods for mercury and venus that have not been updated in ages and apparently do not spawn any ores. Does this mod alter them at all or update their ore generation?
MaskeradeDarkstar 20 Apr @ 11:01am
An Base on/next to the Earth wil be nice

I spawned somwhere in the space, where i was round about 100.000 KM far away and must fly with an spawned ship with the mod "speed of light" to the earth...i must fly in creative first to can sart the SUrvival on the earth.
After save tha game, get the speed of light mod on the savegame, and load the game...i was INSIDE of JUPITER...even with creative mode AND speed of light mod, I CANT ESCAPE THE JUPITER...i had to got into spectator mode and spawn my charakter far away, i can continiue my "travel"...

I flyed c.a. 30 minutes to the earth...and im stil flying (80.000 KM with 10.000 meter/sek... :honkhonk: :summer2019boost:

Global timescale makes planet motions progress faster. So if you set it to 12, the EarthLike in this world will take 2 hours to rotate instead of 24.

The day length you set in the normal settings does not matter. Just make sure Enable Sun Rotation is true and it should work.
bradleymarcoux 3 Apr @ 6:13am
ANYBODY ??
bradleymarcoux 22 Mar @ 3:20am
Confused about Global Time Scale. In Accy Post he says 12.00. so Should I set day setting to 12 hours ?? New User. Thanks for any help
Echthros  [author] 17 Mar @ 1:51am
No, this world is premade. All the planets are there.
Paxination 16 Mar @ 9:37pm
I thought this was premade? Am I correct to understand I still have to add them in myself? Im not that bored. Anyone have a premade version?
Echthros  [author] 25 Feb @ 12:07pm
Just pushed a fix for that now. Thank you for catching that. Global timescale will now correctly affect planet rotation.
Accy 25 Feb @ 6:36am
To all those who are wondering why nothing seems to change when adjusting the Global Timescale, I have found out something:
With a global timescale of 1.00x, the earth moves at 3 m/s in orbit around the sun, which corresponds to a revolution of about 365 days. If you now increase the global timescale to 12.00x, the orbital speed also increases to 35.8 m/s, which corresponds to a revolution of around 30 days. This is still very slow and not directly visible.
However, it should be mentioned that the global timescale only adjusts the orbital velocity and not the planetary rotation. A day on Earth therefore still lasts 24 hours. This value must be adjusted manually. To do this, simply divide the rotation speed by 12 under Planet Info, so that an Earth rotation then only has two hours and is equivalent to a 30-day year. This is a simple way of dealing with all the planets in the system.

I am also having a difficult time moving a single player save to my dedicated server. I keep getting "Server is not responding".
[LAW] Dungeon Master 25 Jan @ 6:37am
Is there a way to load this up as a survival mode on a dedicated server?
Target 3 Jan @ 5:02am
Two issues, but I suspect it's me not the mod. One, I was able to use Earth V3 to replace the Earthlike Earth in this system, which worked great, I just used the editor to switch them. But even when the proxy fade out is off or set to 1x, it still overlays the vanilla EarthLike texture at a distance of more than about 200km. Secondly, I respawned Earth thinking that was maybe the fix, but now I have multiple Earths moving very fast through space.
GigaCars 29 Dec, 2024 @ 5:46pm
Infinite made some planets from our star system that can replace the older Mercury and Venus planets here and add to the moon count on Jupiter

you can make a separate world and upload it with those planets if you wish, just letting you know
CHEWBACCA 24 Dec, 2024 @ 4:57pm
lol ok that makes sense thanks i thought something was broken.
Echthros  [author] 24 Dec, 2024 @ 4:51pm
The day cycle of the EarthLike on this world is 24 real hours. The year length is 365.24 real days. If you don't make any changes, night will last 12 hours on the EarthLike.
CHEWBACCA 24 Dec, 2024 @ 4:47pm
I am not a 100 percent sure what has happened but somehow the game is now permanently night time on my my starter earth planet. I have not changed anything and i assume it is bec the planet has stopped orbiting the sun.
RustyKnutz 13 Dec, 2024 @ 1:11pm
@Zer0 I am currently downloading the map. Im running into a memory problem, but I dont seem to have the problem you do. What I did was download the map and SSR (Real Solar System by the same author) I start a new world, go to community and select that map as my start. Save and exit then load the world with SSR and you should be good to go
Exelsiar 8 Dec, 2024 @ 1:45am
Hi is asteroid filter already setup or do we need to do that manually?
Drakath 2 Dec, 2024 @ 6:43am
that person that had an erection, I did make it x100 but it was still not noticeable
Zer0 2 Dec, 2024 @ 12:33am
I'll try again later but I've tried all of this, you bring up the menu, there's no hierarchy and no planets. I can add a new system and new planets and they appear and work and orbit but what is currently there doesn't. If you enable orbital lines, they don't have them. If you speed up the time of the solar system, they don't move. I've created the world 3 different times and no difference. I've just created my own solar system now as that all works so I don't really need this anymore but I would like to know why it's not working.
tobybug 1 Dec, 2024 @ 10:57pm
Zer0, you can test if the planets are moving too slowly to see by messing with the sun offset in admin tools. This certainly caused visible changes in the Trithorne system, but I would expect a scale model of the solar system to move much more slowly.
user666crazyman 1 Dec, 2024 @ 7:36pm
Just tested it and it seems to be working as expected. I hope whoever didn't get it to work figures out the problem. I reccomend checking the instructions on the "Real Solar Systems" page.
Zer0 30 Nov, 2024 @ 1:25pm
I've messed around with it throughout the day and I can confirm that it's not working by default. There's no hierarchy and no planets. I can add new stuff in and it will orbit fine but the stuff that's there by default doesn't do anything, you can see by the orbit lines (or lack of)
50°02'05.1"N 19°10'33.0"E 30 Nov, 2024 @ 11:35am
pretty sure they orbit its just that it takes a while till its noticeable
Drakath 30 Nov, 2024 @ 3:22am
doesnt work the planets or anything doesnt orbit, help please
Zer0 30 Nov, 2024 @ 12:45am
Maybe i'm being dumb but when I load this world the orbits aren't enabled by default and if I add the mod manually there's no planets with set orbits.
50°02'05.1"N 19°10'33.0"E 29 Nov, 2024 @ 10:09am
i have an erection i think
Slimger 26 Nov, 2024 @ 11:16pm
his is one of the coolest mods you can find, author, please tell me how to add a vanilla trading system to the mod? I mean vanilla stations with tasks and trading?
Echthros  [author] 23 Nov, 2024 @ 11:39am
Type "/TSE" to open the Editor and look for "Global Timescale" option under World Settings. Set it to 12.17. Note that this will make all planets around 12 times faster.
ComicalZink5 23 Nov, 2024 @ 5:25am
Hello, you have probably already provided an answer to this in one of the guides, but unfortunately I can't find it. In ‘The Solar System (Scale 1:40) (Real Solar Systems)’ an earth year lasts about one real year, but I would like to speed up the rotation of all planets so that an earth year lasts only 30 days, could you maybe help me with that? I have already looked through the config etc but can't find the factor

does this work with the other moon mods like Mar's Moons, Ganymede, etc.

like others have asked before, it would be nice if this included some sort of documentation on how to load the preset. I can load the editor for the solar system mod, but i don't see anything about loading this preset. 10 mins of typing could alleviate this problem.
Echthros  [author] 17 Nov, 2024 @ 12:26pm
Send me your crash log on Discord and I can take a look.
YOYOMAN_MODDER 17 Nov, 2024 @ 4:26am
@Echthros I create new world. exit to save/ change to survial, exit to save/ add mods and after adding any mod always crash. whats wrong? any mod like build vision or any always make world not load and erro loading. Can you check whats wrong?
Echthros  [author] 16 Nov, 2024 @ 11:34am
Works fine for me.
