@mynameactually They should be compatible, as this mod affects the body type and that mod has to do with the texture. Are you experiencing any incompatiblities?
mynameactually 22 Jul @ 1:57am
You may need to add compatibility for mods like this that add a more female body variants so that pawns get the correct body for their sex.

@Griffin Melchior @Jet I think I found why it felt like pawns worked out too much. It has to do with how 'anything' schedule assigns joy activity and workouts having short period of execution. I'll try to come up with a way to make workout behave more like other joy objects
Maux  [author] 19 Jul @ 12:48am
@Drunken Eagle That's great detail! I'll look into thirst need as well.
Drunken Eagle 19 Jul @ 12:39am
I saw all the sprites and they seem to be fine, aside from monkey bars having a weird perspective, maybe ill touch up those. Also, about DBH, I forgot that this mod also has thirst that could aslo be affected by working out, but I already reported about it in Mod Integrations requests.
Maux  [author] 19 Jul @ 12:36am
@Drunken Eagle That's an excellent idea! I'll see if it can be implemented without causing performance overhead. (It'll take about a week for me to make the harmony patch and test for errors though.) Also thank you so much for much for offering to help out with art. Currently I don't have any additional workout equipment that I'm trying to add (and supplement module is currently on hiatus), but I'll be sure to contact you if I need art for them. In the mean time, if you feel like updating any of the current art, I'd be grateful for any contribution. (I had to edit some of the AgRipnus's original art for animation implementation, and during the process I am sure I made the quality a lot worse than the original as I'm not an artist, and has no tool or ability to make art.)
Maux  [author] 19 Jul @ 12:25am
@Griffin Melchior @Jet The settings to make pawns prioritize other joy object during recreation schedule has been added. You can set it in the mod setting menu.
Drunken Eagle 18 Jul @ 11:20pm
Also, if you need any vector based graphics for this mod and future modules, Im offering my skills FREE OF CHARGE. Its a hobby of mine and Im glad to be helping out modding community.

I recently did server for Research Papers (Inkscape, SVG format) and they are very happy with it.

Contact me on steam if you are interested and whenever you need new graphics. I might be able even to redraw gym textures (aka trace in vector) so you wouldnt have a problems later.
Drunken Eagle 18 Jul @ 10:59pm
This is mod of my dreams, literally, thank you.

Its not listed as compatibility, but would it be possible to integrate it with Bad Hygiene where working out drains hygiene need?
Maux  [author] 17 Jul @ 3:19am
@Bad Connection * When I updated to 1.6, many of the mods hadn't been updated. Currently the compatibility is turned off and not compiled with the mod. The update that includes compatibility patches for 1.6-updated mod will be pushed this weekend.
Bad Connection * 16 Jul @ 2:11pm
hey great to see you updated this! although it looks like its not compatible with individuality anymore. well i have icons for both in pawn bios atm, maybe its another mod playing games, just wanted to make you aware
Griffin Melchior 13 Jul @ 8:38am
@Maux they do recreation stuff but i mostly see them working out despite me wanting them to just chill. So far nothing is wrong with the mod, everything working as intended... Also thanks mod and looking forward for the update!
Maux  [author] 13 Jul @ 5:59am
@Griffin Melchior @Jet Do pawns not use other recreation objects at all? Or is it that you feel like they use workout equipment too much? Working out for joy has the same priority as using any joy objects, so they should randomly choose between them. There is a condition that make them to use workout equipment if they've worked out recently (1~5 seconds). This is to compensate the fact working out is done in short sets, and to prevent pawns from going back and forth from gym to recreation area. So if you see your pawn working out with many equipment in one setting, that's normal and intended. They should use other joy objects on their next recreation schedule or when they get bored of workout.
I will implement a setting option to make it so that they don't workout during recreation schedule (currently set to the same as other joy activities). The next update will most likely happen next weekend with patches for integrated mods updated to 1.6
Jet 13 Jul @ 12:54am
Anyone notice pawns not respecting the work schedule? despite setting 3 joy, and 2 exercise and having plenty of recreation buildings my pawns prefer to only do chunk lifting, pushups and jogging activities.
Griffin Melchior 12 Jul @ 5:41am
i feel like they workout too much, like i set my schedule for recreation stuff but they just work out instead of doing other stuff, would be nice if this could somehow put working out, when doing recreation, in lower priority .
Maux  [author] 7 Jul @ 1:39am
@ozfresh That is actually a balancing problem. Keeping Hulk bodytype supposed to be difficult. However the introduction of fatigue system changed a lot of values and I haven't had times to play test it much. I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to tell me how much your pawns typically work out per day and what jobs they are assigned to, and also how long it took them to become hulk. I can't play rimworld a lot because I'm busy with work and some other project I'm working on, so getting balance feedback can be very helpful.
ozfresh 6 Jul @ 7:48pm
Love the mod, but everyone wants to workout untill they are super jacked buff bodies and i dont really like it. Things like jogging should take away muscle or something I dunno. I love that the fatties work out to get healthier/thinner, but having an entire colony of hulk bodied colonists is weird.
Maux  [author] 5 Jul @ 9:12pm
@Chaplain Roach Thanks for the idea. I'll put that on the to-do list. I'm busy with something else at the moment and 1.6 is almost here, so update won't be soon but still, I'll try to implement it the next time I publish an update.
Chaplain Roach 3 Jul @ 6:12pm
I think it'd be really dope to have a copy/paste function for goals, just to set everyone on a basic fitness standard.
Maux  [author] 24 Jun @ 3:49am
@Deebs Yes. This mod concerns what bodytype a pawn has, and FemaleBodyVariants mod has to do with what texture they use.
Deebs 23 Jun @ 8:08pm
Does this work with Female Body Variants too? Just wondering if the ladies can get ripped too.

(https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3207125987 the mod in question)
Maux  [author] 20 Jun @ 2:48am
@LocalYourBoxBro With this mod alone, it just change their body type. If you want their stat to change depending on their muscle/fat amount, you need the stats module.
LocalYourBoxBro 20 Jun @ 1:27am
I don't know if i'm missing anything, but what does my pawns getting buff do exactly? Pain shock threshold increase? Carrying weight increase? Movement speed increase?
Maux  [author] 19 Jun @ 6:12pm
@Jet Gym is already implemented. You'll get a slight mood buff after working out at a gym
CrackaJack 19 Jun @ 5:26pm
this goes super well with "toughness skill", feels like strength is worth something, makes low tech better. chunk lifting neanderthals rule :D with the tribal chunk weapon ofc
Jet 19 Jun @ 2:29pm
Awesome I will try to come up with something by watching some scifi films. Would you consider making a gym room role for a slight mood buff similar to eating in dining rooms or focus bonus?
lol 19 Jun @ 7:43am
+1 great mod. Makes colony feel even more alive
Smiley Face Killer 19 Jun @ 6:16am
Just wanna drop in and say that I love the animations.
Caught me by surprise to come back to Rimworld and then see my pawns doin push ups and squats with chunks. It was hilarious when my guy went and fed our prisoner then immediately did some sick push ups to flex on him.
Maux  [author] 19 Jun @ 5:55am
@Jet Do you have any specific spacer equipment in mind? I've set up the framework so adding a new type of workout isn't too much of a hassle, as long as I can get the necessary art and the parts it should train. If your recommendation sounds balanced and I can find an artist to help out, I'm definitely willing to add more equipment.
Maux  [author] 19 Jun @ 5:52am
@CrackaJack While features that can have performance overhead or additional ability is out of the scope of Rimbody, I do intend to expand the mod, albeit slowly!
Jet 18 Jun @ 1:49pm
this is a great mod. any chance for spacer exercise equipment in the future?
CrackaJack 13 Jun @ 7:58am
...the boulder with handles wasnt actually serious :D
CrackaJack 13 Jun @ 7:57am
cool, how about pull ups on trees and doors for your later list, and using trees for training like a maniac kickboxer, chunk throwing- hey that could be a weapon too, with strength=range and dmg, and be used to throw cover somewhere before sending archers. it´d be super cool to have a unique use for super strong arnolds. hmm, allowing them to "carry" non-downed and even hostile pawns and then optionally throw or strangle them?
Maux  [author] 13 Jun @ 1:34am
@lol Yes. If you use stats module you shouldn't use bodytype matters redux together.
lol 12 Jun @ 9:30pm
@Maux,
Thanks for the clear explanation — it all makes sense. I’ll definitely give the mod a try!

From what I understand, using Body Type Matters Redux (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3107452463) alongside RimBody would be redundant, right?
Maux  [author] 12 Jun @ 4:39am
@lol Body size determines how big or small a pawn is. RimBody defines their body composition. Fat and muscle values in RimBody are relative to a pawn's size, not absolute values.

For example, a baby could be very fat or muscular for their size, but their overall body size would still be small. Similarly, you could have a very skinny giant. You can roughly think of body size like "height". How fat or muscular a pawn is doesn’t affect how tall they are, and vice versa. So, body size doesn’t determine body type. It's based entirely on the fat and muscle levels set by this mod.

RimBody by itself doesn’t affect any of the stats you mentioned. However, if you use RimBody Stats, those stats interact multiplicatively with ones from Varied Body Sizes, which is by design as the stats module is designed to work with different body sizes.

In short, you can use both. Rimbody will determine the body type. If you use stats module, the value will be harmoneous.
Maux  [author] 12 Jun @ 4:25am
@CrackaJack Adding more workouts and equipment is definitely on the list, but it's not a high priority at the moment, as there are still some core features that need to be implemented (like jogging rally points and swimming). Still, I'll do my best to make the mod as diverse as possible!
lol 11 Jun @ 10:51pm
Hello! Is there any integration/compatibility with Varied Body Sizes by Mile? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2863019550 It changes body sizes randomly, as well as some affected stats: health, hunger, melee dos, dodge chance, animal product yield and some others.

How does pawn body size correspond to body type?
Zeress 11 Jun @ 12:17pm
The new change seems to work just fine. No longer do the meatheads have to explain why they have a boulder in the living room
CrackaJack 11 Jun @ 6:14am
i mean... it doesnt need to exclude a dedicated lifting boulder, now the regular ones work to your satisfaction youre quite free in its design.. it could have handles! imagine that, didnt expect that did you
Maux  [author] 11 Jun @ 5:12am
@Zeress, yeah, I agree—it’s quite a fun concept. However, to be honest, I don’t want to make a dedicated workout boulder if I can help it, as that would lock the workout behind research. I also don’t want the discrepancy of pawns being able to haul chunks but not being able to work out with them. Hopefully, having pawns return chunks to where they came from will help with the issue, but we'll see.
Maux  [author] 11 Jun @ 5:09am
@uerminosa, with the 1.1.2 update, chunk workouts now return the chunks to storage if they were taken from it.
I’m still debating whether it’s a good idea to implement a dedicated workout boulder, as that would lock strength workouts behind stone-cutting research. Not being able to use chunks for exercise before they’ve been fabricated doesn’t feel quite right. Let’s see if returning them to storage will help with this issue. If it still turns out to be bothersome, I might try creating a designator (the overlay stuff for hauling or destroying, etc.) dedicated to workouts, as long as its implementation doesn’t cause a performance overhead.
Zeress 9 Jun @ 7:19am
I appreciate a potential "fix" for the chunk situation if nothing else that a dedicated lifting "boulder" amuses me to no end. Big meat head energy on that one :steamhappy:
CrackaJack 5 Jun @ 8:40am
chunk lifting, nice :D just started an new tribal run, they lift chunks, sit on chunks and they are chunks
uerminosa 28 May @ 10:10am
I see. coincidenally, the spinning dummy is the only equipment i've built so far. I'll do that then, thanks!
Maux  [author] 28 May @ 3:13am
@uerminosa I think maybe the better option would be requiring you to make a dedicated exercise boulder, only with which you can exercise rather than any chunks. I'll try to think of something. However, I am stumped with work a bit at the moment and can't provide a timely patch, so you'll have to wait a bit. In the mean time, pawns work out using the best workout equipment, and any kind of strength equipment is better than a chunk exercise (-the spinning dummy. Because that's actually a balance workout despite the misinformation I provided). So if you have a couple of exercise equipment, they would rather chose that instead of chunks.
uerminosa 27 May @ 3:28pm
hi, I love your mod. it makes the game so much more dynamic! thank you for creating it.
I'd like to ask if you could add the option to disable chunks from being used as gym equipment, since my pawns keep taking them from my stockpiles to exercise and leave them all around my base. I can't find a way to stop them from doing that
thanks
McLets 22 May @ 12:35am
This mod is cool. I hope it's compatible with my custom xenotypes. Should be.

I am going to add this to a dedicated run, not because of the lag, but because I don't want to balance more needs (I'm in a difficult modded run)
Maux  [author] 16 May @ 8:48am
@GVLT Thanks for the texture! I'll be doing a small balance update soon, and will include the texture! Also, really appreciate you offering to help! I’ll reach out if anything comes up.

Hello again, I've adjusted the textures values so the colors would match furniture and walls colors and also fixed mask placement on a flatbench. No wonder dumbbell rack took you so long, it's quite good.
If you need any particular art for your mod I would be glad to help, I have more than a decade of experience in game art.
