Literally for no reason, my character’s sugar increased by 660. Now I don’t know what to do. There is no insulin in fashion, and cheats do not lower blood sugar.

No insulin yet? or it's implied with the diabetes type 1 constantly and absudly lowering of sugar?

*Technically* type-2 diabetes can be artificially induced and will clear up quickly. I dont think Zeds are going around poisoning non-diabetics with their chemistry skills.

Also have a suggestion, when starting as a diabetic you should have a few starting supplies for the disease as this would be expected.

It *is* possible with type-2, but it takes a VERY long time

The description mentions that diabetes can be recovered from with a normal glucose level for three days, this shouldn't be possible with type-1. I'm only assuming it is because of going off of the description. Feel free to correct me.

i have been waiting for a mod like this, nobody ever takes into consideration people living in the apocalypse with a chronic illness. Would be awesome to have a full mod pack with diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, wheelchair bound people and cancer chemotherapy.

I saw in one forum some diabetes discunsion in the apocalypse, like how you would produce insulin in the apocalypse by grinding the pancreas of animals and purify it with alcohol.

I doubt anyone would try that but you could think about including some in game recipe to produce diabetes, or a endgame insulin production from some pharmaceutic lab.

What was your basis for those glucose levels? In the US, our modern glucose fingersticks don't detect below 30 (at which point its already an emergency). On the flip side, a glucose of 450 is also extremely high and I'm not sure a person could do half of what we do in Zomboid with that high of a glucose.

Could you maybe decrease the values and make your glucose drop at a slower rate?
