Kinda ironic that i've played with insanely low loot settings
So i had to actually get rid of smoker with Trait Purchase system.
Then i tried to purchase it again, and seems like that trait was kinda brokne
So i had to download this mod to earn smoker trait back due of stress debuff that annihilates my foraging zone, because i'm using nudist trait as a furry, and bloodlust that i can't drop (without it my character becomes sad for unknown reason).

And yes - its real. That all story and setup to just download this mod.

I don't know if this mod is suitable for build 42, because I'm not going to switch to it anytime soon. The mod is very simple, so there shouldn't be any problems with build 42. If anyone has tried it, please write in the comments.
Is it B42 compatible?

Seems like a good mod, I'll try it soon but more people might find your mod if you title it "Dynamic Smoker Trait" as that's how you actually spell it

From what @adzzz said, a parameter in the custom sandbox menu could satisfy everyone as then you can have a default number of days yet allow others to set their own.

You should make the amount of days to lose the trait and gain the trait less, Something like 20 days/ smokes.

This looks great. I'd love to try it with my new game. Could you make one for the More Smokes mod? The parts of the trait that make sense to pick up mid-game as suddenly gaining Cultivation or learning recopies doesn't make sense:
20% increase on stoned benefits
20% reduction of thirst and hunger rates while stoned
Will lose stoned status more quickly
